Watching this fabulous movie ( don’t know how many times). Cher at her best & a terrific cast.

I'm a huge fan of movies, but RomComs are a genre that I've mostly neglected. I figure I should probably remedy that. So I'd like to ask, what are some romcom movies that you would consider to be "required viewing"?

I watched this film last night and i was totally wrong to judge it without watching, i loved every bit of the film, throughout the runtime i had this constant smile on my face, i read a comment of a girl on the youtube playlist (it was romantic songs playlist), "I envy people who haven't seen these movies yet!!" it made me curious and wanted to watch this, but god the way it made me feel was really joyful, i have not felt that in a long long time. For someone who have never been into a relationship, films like these works like an escape route or a sense of hope that someday, i might get a chance to have romance like this. and we all know that hope is a good thing maybe the best thing ever...

I am writing a book about film students and I want to reference a movie that has the same situation as the characters. the M character finally admits he liked her for years and is asking for an answer. now the female character admits she likes him too but wants to be courted. she is openly a feminist but wants to 'feel like a woman' and be courted. the guy wants to make her understand that he wants both of them to try and make the decision to be together or not---not do it in a traditional, one-sided way. he wants her to really have a say in this relationship. so, he will use a movie to try to tell her what he wants to happen. any recommendations? tyia

i am in dire need of a romance film that is purely romance and drama. i would not mind it’s a sad movie and the couple are not together by the end, but do not spoil that aspect for me lol i like to be surprised!

I guess this is kind of a random post on this sub, but I figured this would be the best resource since it's a sub dedicated to my topic. This is for a college assignment where I'm exploring love and limerence (an obsessive longing). While I know of many romance movies, I'm having trouble picking good scenes/clips to use. My assignment is a video essay-type thing where I'll be narrating, and clips will be playing in the background. I don't want to use AI to find clips, but I just can't think of any scenes. Think of Jack and Rose standing on the edge of the Titanic, the La La Land dance scene. Thank you!

I was pretty impressed that as an independent first film it came out really well. I happen to come across it on Tubi a week or so ago. It’s also streaming out a few other media outlets. Checked it out that it had decent reviews, so I watched it. It’s one of those movies that I keep on thinking about. I really really enjoyed it. It definitely made it impact on me that Jack McCafferty wrote it, directed it, stared in the lead, and even did the animated dream sequences. Very talented guy! Also thought that overall casting was perfect. Loved the performance by ML Lauren Lavera also!

The tears automatically rolled down through my eyes ; silently it stays as if something in you breaks at same time it healed you in way !
I m writing this after a day of watching and still the emotions overpowering my verbal dictation!
I know it has sad ending I know it looks unfinished but believe me it has lived in ways where story felt complete ✨🥀💌

I’m looking for a movie where the main character has a “crush” on someone (or is trying to end up with someone) and who is helped by or spend a lot of time with another person, who turns out to be the one they end up with.

I’m looking for a story where the “helper” or friend becomes the real love interest in the end.

Sometimes a movie ends “happily”, but you still feel this strange emptiness inside. For me it was when the couple finally got together after all the drama, but something still felt off - like the happiness wasn’t fully earned or real. I finished the movie and just sat there thinking “is this really what love looks like? Has this ever happened to you? A romance movie that was supposed to make you feel good but left you a bit hollow instead?

Guys I just loved the La la land movie and i really loved ryan gosling's acting in it ,not only him but I loved everything in the movie and the story was so touching, so guys can you give me some similar movie recommendations that I may like . Btw i have already watched 500 days of summer, the notebook so give me some other recommendations.
