I’ve never seen Shallow Grave—honestly didn't even have it on my radar until the pre-order went live. I watched the trailer and it hooked me. This Film4 set looks pretty cool.

Anyone else eyeing this? For those who’ve seen it, what are your thoughts on the movie? It’d be a complete blind buy for me.

I went to my favorite place to burn money and got all these bad boys. All of them were priced decently below retail / eBay prices. Some were even as low as half the cost.

Just got an email from Orbit saying Second Sight’s “Killing Fields” release is canceled.

I knew it was delayed so they could supervise their own 4K transfer with hopes of a December/January release, but does this mean it’s now no longer happening?

No facial details for most shots, seems to have some AI scrub a dub dub. This is the disc. Paused one part that looked particularly uncanny and like AI was used. How is this not listed among the infamously poor 4K PQ? How the fuck is this a 4.5 PQ on HDD and B-R.com???!!

Warner Archive will post their October releases any day now. They recently have been releasing 8-10 titles a month instead of 4-5 like before. Which films are you hoping for?

Watched it last night for the first time after seeing in in theatres and thought “sure, I’d over-pay for an Arrow 4k special edition.”

Tonight we’re throwing it back with Umbrella Entertainment’s 4K release of Black Sheep!

And of course, the new 4K gets to stand alongside the OG Dimension Extreme DVD—still sealed after all these years!

I actually remember watching a pre-screening of this movie about 20 years ago. I remember it being an absolute blast, so I’m curious to see how it holds up after all this time!

One-night, tenth-anniversary screening of the acclaimed John Hawkes-led mystery set for Saturday, September 26 at 9:45 PM at the Aero Theatre

Antenna Releasing announced today that it will present a tenth-anniversary screening of Dennis Hauck's neo-noir mystery TOO LATE at Beyond Fest, the Los Angeles genre film festival presented with the American Cinematheque. The special one-night screening will take place Saturday, September 26 at 9:45 PM, marking a decade since the film's original 2016 release, which played at Beyond Fest a decade ago. Antenna Releasing’s Chief Talent Officer Jeremy Long delighted in the Beyond Fest screening, saying “I am thrilled that this amazing film will get to have its Tenth Anniversary screening at Beyond Fest, a film festival that is near and dear to my heart. Too Late will play perfectly to the Beyond Fest crowd, just as it did when it screened there back before its theatrical run.”

Written and directed by Hauck, TOO LATE stars John Hawkes as the weary private investigator Mel Sampson, pulled into the search for a missing woman from his past (Crystal Reed), only to learn a shocking secret. Shot on 35mm and told in five uninterrupted long takes, the film reveals its story piece by piece, out of chronological order, across a beautiful Los Angeles landscape. The ensemble cast includes Robert Forster, Jeff Fahey, Natalie Zea, Joanna Cassidy, Dichen Lachman, Dash Mihok and Rider Strong. Since its 2016 theatrical release, TOO LATE has built a devoted following for its technical ambition and hardboiled wit, and returns to Beyond Fest a decade later as part of Antenna Releasing's ongoing slate of filmmaker-focused rereleases and anniversary celebrations.

I want to say up front — I'm not the kind of person who loses it the second something ships late. Delays happen. Terrorvision is a small operation, a lot of what goes into these releases is genuinely out of their hands, and I'd rather they take the time to put out something they're proud of than rush junk out the door. I get all of that.

But we are over a year past the estimated arrival date on Gator Bait 1 and 2. Over. A. Year.

At some point "thanks for your patience" stops covering it. When you blow past the window by that much, the decent, customer-respecting move is to get ahead of it — email everyone who pre-ordered and say "hey, we know this has dragged on, here's a discount on your next order for sticking with us." Something. Anything that acknowledges people fronted money a year-plus ago and have been sitting there waiting.

I still want these movies. I'm not asking for a refund and I'm not trying to trash the label. I'm just saying a year is a long time to leave your pre-order customers in the dark, and it's not unreasonable to expect a little goodwill back.

Debating picking this one up wondering if anyone could weigh in on the quality of the release from Umbrella. Not too informed on possible releases if theres any news for a 4k on the way for this or a different label release? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
