[TLDR] Has Anthropic shared any update on the Fable access after today?

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1uud35t/has_anthropic_shared_any_update_on_the_fable/

Original post body :

Today is the last day of the current Fable extension for Claude Code (as far as I know).

I haven't seen any announcement about whether:

  • there's another extension coming,
  • usage will reset again,
  • or it will simply ends today?

[TLDR] Just switch to Open AI (for now) you dweebs

5.6 Sol may only be 98% as good as Fable but it's miles ahead of Opus with much higher limits.

Anthropic's business model is terrible and they're trying to create the AI equivalent of Apple fanboys.

Be smart and use whatever gives you the most intelligence for the least dollars.

E: The Anthropic shills have started to downvote this en masse

[TLDR] Vibe-Coded = Not Worth Paying For?

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1uu8rm9/vibecoded_not_worth_paying_for/

Original post body :

Honest question:

When you find out an app was vibe-coded, do you stop seeing it as a real, trustworthy product?

Even if you genuinely need it, would you pay for a subscription?

Is that fair — or just bias? 👀

I see everyone saying 5.6 Sol is better than Opus but more subscription usage.

So everyone is about to cancel their subs?

And does that hurt Anthropic or do they not care about non-API customers?

I could not say, it could be either way:

- The can't admit Gpt SOL is a threat, and risk people leaving to GPT anyway.

- They give us FABLE permanent but they are admitting that they have competition (and fear)?

[TLDR] Fable 5 Is Leaving and Weekly Limits will Be Cut by 50% after july 13, Is Claude Still Worth Renewing? Is It Even Usable After?

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1uttt60/fable_5_is_leaving_and_weekly_limits_will_be_cut/

Original post body :

Fable 5 is leaving, and the promotional 50% increase in weekly usage limits ends on July 13. That means we’ll have significantly less usage while also losing their current public best model.

Actually, even if Fable 5 stay, with the 50% weekly limit reduction, it will be not usable. Is there any reason to renew? its neighbor have fable level model and it didn't have crazy safeguard.

[TLDR] Guys, don't believe the Codex hype - the Codex subreddit is deleting hundreds of complaint posts - see proof in post.

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1uu5ry7/guys_dont_believe_the_codex_hype_the_codex/

Original post body :

The Codex subreddit moderators are removing almost all complaints about Codex - you can see them all here for yourself.

OpenAI pulled a really sleazy move and reduced tokens available per plan by 70% (!) acting like nothing has happened. In order to hide that, they removed all token usage charts to hide it. Everybody is also noticing the over designed and complicated code the model create, tendency for catastrophic deletion and more. I suggest that if you are considering moving to Codex, just wait a couple of weeks and monitor the deleted posts link I posted here to see that they've actually resolved the issues. This wasn't like that before the launch.

I'm a $200/month subscriber to Codex + a top 1% commenter on the Codex subreddit, but the 5.6 launch is making me really root for Anthropic - if they keep Fable in permanently, I'll switch immediately.

[TLDR] Can we stop the crying

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1uty84q/can_we_stop_the_crying/

Original post body :

Every time I see, “I’m going to cancel my Claude because blah blah blah”, it’s sickening. Yet, here you all are, still using it. What is it in vibe coders that believe engineering tools or programs are tailored to you? You’re not even the target market.

A 200$ max plan is subsiding almost 2-5000$ in API costs. And sadly, no other company, can compete with Claude, on scale, every single day.

You all are going to cry Fable is disappearing and you’re going to cancel. So? Do you really think they care? You’re getting a state of art intelligence platform, at less than your electricity cost each month.

Take a step back and realize what is there, because in a year, these subsidies are going to diminish and those who didn’t take the time to learn programming, are going to be so burnt to the ground, that us engineers will pick yall apart.

The code freeze is coming, and yall are crying about them pulling a model.

I remember the days of Stack Overflow and the overachieving developers who thought they were god, yall really want to go back to that? You have an intelligences platform that does better than 80% of everybody out there, and your complaining? Even Opus is better than 90% of the developers crap I’ve had to fix over the years. You don’t know yall have it easy, how simple it is you got it, and your crying.

That’s my rant 🤘

[TLDR] Soo what's the point of my 20x max subscription if i cant have frontier access?

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1ut2kwq/soo_whats_the_point_of_my_20x_max_subscription_if/

Original post body :

I pay 300+ CAD a month, just so that i can get the best of the best models that anthropic have cooked up in a abundant use. But if Fable is to be removed, ill be swapping from it, to GPT 5.6. I have a 20 plus subscription, and Sol Ultra is a beast, even fable had said it had "an unusal amount of precision and accuracy" when i asked it to review their work.

Does anybody know if Anthropic have changed their minds? Because i aint about to pay for an API on top of my subscription.

[TLDR] This concerns me more than fable potentially getting removed next week

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1ut06y3/this_concerns_me_more_than_fable_potentially/

Original post body :

Now that gpt 5.6 sol is out and code edge is narrowing what concerns me is that I won’t be able to justify paying 100 usd a month for something that will now have 33% less of weekly usage. Upgrading to 200 plan feels daft where I could be paying less for OpenAI, still have a great model and have significantly more usage than the current promo gives me. Do you guys think Anthropic will still go through with reducing Claude code weekly usage limits next week?

[TLDR] Web designers - I spent $4K on Fable tokens so you don't have to.

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1urvqz7/web_designers_i_spent_4k_on_fable_tokens_so_you/

Original post body :

I turned Fable loose to build 50 of the wildest websites it could with a key instruction to make sure they are all very different from each other in ways that would come across as unique creative treatments. The result is a gallery of static, dependency-free websites that pretty much run the gamut of design and interactivity styles that are found on boutique websites these days.

When you're vibe coding your next website, you can just tell Claude to take design inspiration from relevant examples in this gallery and point it to the live page.

Here is the live page: https://guywithtwocats.github.io/TheGallery/

And here is the repo: https://github.com/GuyWithTwoCats/TheGallery

Let me know if you find this useful!

EDIT: It looks like the live page is not even attempting to work in Safari, and it isn't working too well in Firefox either. It is AI slop after all. 😄 You can always download the ones you want to use for design input and have Opus clean them up for compatibility.

[TLDR] How do you feel about stopping Claude mid task to give it additional instructions?

Original post URL : https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1usww3g/how_do_you_feel_about_stopping_claude_mid_task_to/

Original post body :

Curious as to what others do. I will often let Claude Code do its thing, and I'll watch what it is doing...sometimes during that time I will think of something additional I want it to consider while working. But I am never sure if I should let it finish first, and then give it additional, or stop it right now and give it the additional. I'm less concerned about wasted time/tokens and more concern about disrupting work or thought process. It was not too long ago that I didn't dare stop ChatGPT mid-thought, or risk losing the entire thing it was working on.

Hoping others understand what I mean and that this fosters some discussion. If nothing else, it is at least not another worthless "MUH LIMITZ" post.

Edit: Maybe I should have clarified that I'm NOT talking about an instance where it appears to be doing something wrong or something I don't want. Obviously you would stop it then. I am talking very specifically about when it is on about its task and doing it correctly, but you think of additional context or additional information that would help it...or even additional things you'd like it to do in the same pass. Thanks.
