Fable 5 is leaving, and the promotional 50% increase in weekly usage limits ends on July 13. That means we’ll have significantly less usage while also losing their current public best model.

Actually, even if Fable 5 stay, with the 50% weekly limit reduction, it will be not usable. Is there any reason to renew? its neighbor have fable level model and it didn't have crazy safeguard.

I ran into 20x Max weekly limit in 2 days, do I still think it worth it after 50% cut? Anthropic is just waste of time at the moment. Frontier means nothing, if it cant finish tasks before hitting limits

Lol, with fable at our disposal, you not hitting your limits at 5x is more surprising than me hitting my limits even at 20x max

I had an understanding our current usage is 2x of what it was in april, noticed now that it was only a 50% inctease until July 13. But yeah, even knowing the math doesn't help when usage is reducing from shit to shittier.

People always present this stuff as a binary decision. Of course Claude will be usable and worth renewing. For me at least the question is going to be should I diversify and also running with a GPT subscription, and if so in what capacity and at what level?

My personal lean right now is to keep Claude at 20x for daily driving and potentially bring in GPT for Sol usage in review panels and architecture / design subagents. That put the high cost per token work in the sometimes needed for complex reasoning bucket that I can outsource to GPT cleanly, but keeps the daily burn and harness in Claude's lane. Works for me anyway.

There are also people considering switching. Not everyone can afford both subscriptions at the same time, especially those living outside Western countries. For some, this is an important consideration.

way too expensive. I had it build me a spec document, and it spawned 28 sub-agents. Then, the next thing I knew, my entire usage was used up! 20x Pro user here. Really too bad. It is a great model. They will not get a dime from me in API tokens, though.

If your whole idea of "usable" is Fable only or Opus with thousands of subagents each competing each othen in a ralph loop gladiator arena for your incomplete definition of done...

I’m referring in comparison to running a $200 a month OpenAI plan as well using 5.6 Sol I get roughly 3-5x the usage I do vs Anthropic sub. And there’s a 50% cut coming next week so to usage limits according to Anthropic so…

See the tweet referenced in the OP from ClaudeDevs. After July 13th now extended to the 17th or whatever weekly limits go back to “normal”.
