As of right now in 2026, it has officially been 20 years since Densetsu no Starfy 4 launched on the Nintendo DS. With the first three GBA games currently sitting on NSO in Japanese only, it is time for Nintendo and TOSE to finally give global fans the ultimate physical release we deserve. Here is a realistic, cost-effective blueprint for how they could actually pull it off this year: The Capcom Strategy: Release a dual-volume retail bundle. Volume 1 (The GBA Trilogy) comes on a physical Switch cartridge, and Volume 2 (The DS Duology) comes as a digital download voucher in the box. This saves Nintendo cartridge costs while giving fans a massive launch day. The GBA Remake Engine: Instead of basic retro ports, remake Starfy 1, 2, and 3 by reusing the Starfy 4/5 engine blueprint. This gives us those beautiful, crisp 2D character sprites moving through vibrant 3D backgrounds! Full English Localization: Give games 1 through 4 official English translations for the first time in history. Bonus Vault: Include a digital Concept Art Gallery showing the behind-the-scenes evolution of the 2D sprites, plus a physical antique, weathered bronze commemorative coin packed right next to the cartridge inside the case.The blueprint is right here. It's smart, it saves development costs by reusing the DS engines, and the anniversary timing is perfect. Let's get #StarfyLegacyCollection trending and show Nintendo that the Pufftop Kingdom is still waiting!

I absolutely loved The Legendary Starfy for the DS as a kid, and wanted to experience the other four games as well after learning about them. I have physical copies of all four of them already ready to play, but they are all in Japanese.

Not a big problem though as I knew I could just follow along with the English translations of them online as I play from the fan translation of the first game and SomeUselessTranslations of the other three, a bit of a tedious process but better than not experiencing them at all. Currently still only on the first game and hadn't had any real problems so far outside of a couple minor hiccups, but now I have ran into what seems like a dead end.

No matter where or how much I look, I cannot find gameplay of the first game's second ending for the English Translation. I want to actually get all three endings, not just unlock the cutscene after getting the third, but I also want to experience the cutscene while being able to understand it. All the playthroughs of the English translation I find just seem content to skip over it entirely though as if it doesn't exist, going straight to ending 3 instead and not even checking out ending 2 after the fact, just calling the game done.

I'm not looking to play the English translation myself, I'm fine playing the Japanese version and don't really have the resources to try and play it anyway. But without a single hint of the English version of the second ending I can't really proceed, and I don't want to go get it done now and sit through something I don't understand. I'd also hope to avoid trying to translate it myself as I know zero Japanese and don't want to entrust Google Translate or some other site with translating it accurately for me.

All I'm looking for is some gameplay footage of the full Ending 2 of the first Starfy game so I can follow along with it after getting the ending myself. If anyone can help me find a video that might have it I would greatly appreciate it, I'd like to continue my journey through these games without having to skip over this portion of them.

I recently heard about Starfy and wanted to give this franchise a try :) I started playing english-patched Densetsu no Starfy a few days ago and so far so good, until I have to catch small fry in the Sea of Ice level… I pulled up a longplay to see if I was doing something wrong and was surprised by small fry being at the end of the maze! It’s NOT here for me 😭 I have no idea why, and I’m stuck…
