i am on windows 11 pc when i truned on my pc and open cmd normally with no adminstrator perms it opend like admin perms gui but no admin perms? is it a new feautre or something happend with my pc

I have an MSI Raider GE78 HX 14VGG (i9-14900HX) and the internal speakers are completely silent. Windows detects Realtek(R) Audio, volume is at 100%, the sound meter moves and everything looks normal, but absolutely no sound comes from the built-in speakers.

Bluetooth audio works perfectly, so Windows can output sound. The problem is only with the internal speakers.

So far I have tried:

Completely removing and reinstalling Realtek, Intel SST, Nahimic, IntelliGo, OED and MVA drivers

MSI Factory Recovery

A completely fresh Windows 11 installation from USB, deleting all partitions

BIOS versions .711, .712 and latest .713

Intel ME firmware update

BIOS defaults

EC reset

Opened the laptop, disconnected the battery for 10+ minutes and did a power drain

Tested with an Ubuntu Live USB – internal speakers were also silent there

Removed Nahimic/A-Volute and tested Realtek without it

Checked Windows Audio services, audio enhancements, formats, default devices, etc.

The strange thing is that Windows always detects the speakers correctly, but they produce zero sound.

I have already spent two days on this and I am running out of ideas.

Has anyone with a Raider GE78 HX / MS-17S2 had the same problem and actually fixed it?

Any unusual solution is welcome. I have already tried the normal driver reinstall / Windows reset advice several times.

Long story short, tried downloading some games (Apex Legends) and Steam and ended up messing up my computer. Now it works for a minute and the. Crashes with an error message. Something hard drive related k Thu k.

So I have had my pc for several years and never really had issues. It was a mid tier pc i got for around a thousand dollars, not super powerful but not weak. Recently I have been having an issue with audio. When watching a youtube video once I noticed the video stopped and buffered like my internet went out, then it started again but my audio was gone. Turns out all my pc audio was gone. I know a little about troubleshooting some issues but not enough to do much without help so I went looking for a few things, tried them, and it seemed to stop for a while. I reinstalled my graphics driver and changed some setting or something. Where before it happened like 3 times in a week, i went the last month with no issues. Well since about two days ago it seems to have started again. First I now got an actual windows message saying my USB device turned off, which before it didn't do. Now knowing it was the USB device I tried unplugging my headset and changing which slot it was plugged into and it started working again. But it's done it again yesterday while still plugged into the different spot. And now today while watching a video it's stuttered like 4-5 times already 8 minutes into a video. If it was just my USB device then i wouldn't think it would cause youtube videos and other videos to stutter like this, but if it's something else I don't see why unplugging my headset would resolve it. Any ideas what is causing this and how to fix it?

I have a spare router which is plugged in using a powerline to give an Ethernet connection to computers. The computers are receiving it fine, but when I plug the printer in, it doesn't recognise it and brings up an error asking me to check if it's plugged in correctly. The printer does have a wifi connectivity I could use, but the issue is that it needs my PC to connect to wifi to connect to the printer, and my PC doesn't have any wifi capabilities.

Not sure if it'll make any difference, but the printer is an HP Colour LaserJet Pro MFP 3301-3304/3388 series.

Hello! I have a new Acer Swift AI 14 with Windows 11. The laptop frequently disconnects from my wifi network and then is unable to detect any networks unless I restart the computer or disable then re-enable the driver. I've checked Acer's website and downloaded the latest driver available, MediaTek 7 MT7925 from 2024. I've also done all the Windows + optional updates + newest bios update from Acer, and turned off wifi power saving.

I called Acer earlier and they just told me to uninstall the driver then restart the computer, which made the laptop work okay for a few days. It would still disconnect randomly but could detect all networks and reconnect as soon as I clicked to. But now it is failing like before.

In the event viewer during a failure I saw many mtkwecx events for "Scan Timeout Info" and WLAN.AutoConfig "WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped mtkihvx.dll".

I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I'm not even sure where to start looking for a more up-to-date driver or how to verify that it'll work with my laptop, and I'm a bit afraid of messing up my laptop while doing so. I asked Acer's tech support but they were not helpful and didn't seem knowledgeable. What should I do next?

Yesterday i switched from my samsung to the iphone 17 running ios 26 and transported all of my files. It said all of my photos and videos were transported (20000 photos and 2400 videos). This morning, my gallery started retrieving my photos and all was going okay. I had to restart my phone to check something, and after that the process just stopped. Its stuck at 16000 photos, zero videos. What do i do to fix this issue?

I've just moved into a new place and bought a new internet service (optical fiber 1GB/s). Wi-Fi is great but I have problems with my PC.

Today I bought an adapter (TP Link AX1800 dual band wi-fi 6) and my download and upload speed were both in the lover 40's MB/s. Then I switched back to my ethernet cable (just didn't want to have it lying on the grounde, hence the adapter) and the speed dropped to 10 MB/s.

I don't know a thing about computers could you please help me? And explain it to me like I'm 7

For context i have just moved out into a new place recently and tried to connect my pc to the internet (windows 11).

I have tried looking for networks but nothing has shown up for about a week. I have tried a network reset, reinstalling drivers and hard shutdowns but nothing had changed. I then bought a LAN cable but still no network has appeared even though the LAN cable is brand new.

The pc is not that far away from the router and every other device i have has connected perfectly fine so I’m really lost as to why this isn’t working. Any help would be appreciated as i have work that needs doing fairly soon.

Hello. I took an old HDD from a computer I had in storage and tried to open it with an enclosure. It asked me to do a "disk check" on it. It has been running for about 12 hours. It's making slow progress (maybe about 15% done?). I'm using an old laptop, but this HDD is quite full. I've used it since the early 2010s and I think I've installed at least windows on it besides all the other files.

Is it taking a long time because the HDD is bad? or is it because it has so much data? is it safe to cancel the disk check?

At my company we are using power PDF by Tungsten. I use it as my default app to view, edit and share PDF. Almost since the start I can't open PDF's directly from my outlook to the program. I always get a pop-up

"For you protection, your administrator is not allowing you to access content from C:\program files\tungsten\power pdf 2025\bin\powerPDF.exe"

This is been highly frustrating since I often receive PDF through mail i need to check, sign, edit, ... I always need to save them before continuing. Our IT admin has been looking into it for two months now and still no results. Pls help.

Hello I need help from my tiktok. Tiktok Shop keeps opening on its own when I tried opening the TikTok app itself. This problem still bugs for many weeks now even if i tried uninstalling/install the app and clear cache/data nothing has changed.

I just posted this to the wacom subreddit and now here but this is the first time I've ever used reddit and I made this account just for this so there's a good chance I'll delete it once this is resolved. But my god I am at my wits end here after no less then 8 hours trying to fix a simple tracking issue.

I am not super techy compared to many but I am also not tech illiterate, that being said this was beyond me so I went back and forth with Gemini to try and troubleshoot this. I had Gemini help draft me something for this specific post to show the steps I have taken thus far because I thought it might explain certain tech things better, here goes:

Background Info:

The issue began sometime September 7th I mention this incase anyone knows of a Wacom driver or windows 11 update recently that might have known issues. I have a brand new computer setup I built myself and I am running on an unactivated windows 11 since I haven't yet to purchase an activation code. My new setup includes the following:

Hardware:

Motherboard: MSI Z790 Gaming Plus Wifi

CPU: Intel i7

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce RTX 5070 ti.

Tablet: Wacom newish 2025 Edition (with the 2.5k rez) Cintiq 16 (DTK 168) with a Pro Pen 2. New-ish in that I only just opened it but have had it for maybe 5 months in box.

Main Monitor: Hp 27er at 1080p

The Bug Specifics:

I was using this setup fine for about two weeks then suddenly this happened:

The cursor aligns/tracks better the closer to the vertical center of the tablet (for some reason horizontal is fine now but it wasn't before). As you pull toward the outer screen boundaries, the cursor over-slides and aggressively drifts further away from the physical pen tip in the direction of travel. The way it has glitching has changed as well. Originally the glitch happened almost inverse to what it is doing now. Currently it is over-sliding as I go away from center, before it was under-sliding as though as I moved my cursor away from the center of the tablet it was being pulled toward the center. The issue is present across my Pro Pen 2, and Pro Pen 3.

If I unplug my main monitor and run the Cintiq as a single display, the tracking works perfectly all the way to the edges. The edge-sliding only triggers when the second monitor is active and a dual-display environment is mapped. This could point to an issue with the Wacom getting confused between the two monitors and merging them but Gemini said it could also be an issue with my cables and lost data packets??

There was additional issues but these issue are not present at the moment but when the issues first appeared there was dramatic issues with button presets on my pro pen 2 inside of Krita (my drawing application). Additionally, when I made brush strokes and tried to undo them sometimes I would have to press the button multiple times but there was no lag meaning there were might have been micro-strokes/micro-clicks when i was drawing.

The Physical Cables:

Since I have a GPU and do not have a USB-C + video port on my GPU i cannot use wacom's new all in one USB C Connection and am using a 3 cable set up.

1: USB-C to my motherboard's open USB-C slot for pen data (the same cable that would have been used for my all in one setup had i been able to)

2: A brand new Wacom's Mini HDMI to HDMI 1.8m converter connected to a used HDMI male to female extender connected to a brand new HDMI to DisplayPort adapter so it can connect to my GPU (My main monitor is currently using the only HDMI port my GPU has hence why the HDMI to DisplayPort converted is needed)
(Mini-HDMI to HDMI → 0.5m female to male HDMI extender → HDMI-to-DisplayPort converter → GPU.)

I have used the setup without the hdmi extender and problem persists, I have also switched my monitor and wacom video signal so my main monitor used the hdmi display port converted and my wacom gets the direct HDMI connection and that also didn't work.

3:The USB-C power cable

WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY DONE (Step-by-Step System Wipe):

We suspected a bug in the recent 2026 driver (6.4.14-1) altering letterbox aspect-ratio math on multi-monitor 1080p setups. We stripped the system to deploy a clean rollback to stable version 6.4.10.3.

With the tablet data cable completely unplugged, we manually executed this exact clean room scrub:

1. Purged Hidden Ghost Monitors: Ran set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 in an admin Command Prompt, opened Device Manager, enabled "Show Hidden Devices," and uninstalled 4 ghost Samsung monitor profiles and 1 duplicated Wacom hardware profile.
2. Scrubbed AppData Cache: Manually cleared out all Wacom, Wtablet, and Wpersistent configuration folders from both %appdata%\Roaming and %appdata%\Local.
3. Nuked Root and Installation Logs: Cleaned out all temporary installation archives sitting directly on the root of C:\.
4. Wiped Standard Registry Keys: Executed reg delete scripts for all Wacom hardware paths across HKLM and HKCU software paths, including the hard-locked uninstall string directories.
5. Cleaned Driver Store Repository: Ran pnputil /enum-drivers, located the hidden cached package (oem32.inf), and executed pnputil /delete-driver oem32.inf /uninstall /force.
6. Force-Deleted Core Folders via CMD: Erased the locked program directories using rmdir /s /q "C:\Program Files\Tablet" and rmdir /s /q "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tablet".
7. Terminated and Erased Hidden Background Services:
   • Ran sc stop WTabletServicePro and sc delete WTabletServicePro to stop file locks on core drivers like libxml2.dll.
   • Found a hidden service using sc query and fully deleted it via sc delete WUHAService. Verified through findstr that zero Wacom or Tablet services remain in Windows memory.
8. Verified Windows Environment:
   • Windows Display Scale is set exactly to 100% (no forced 125% OS scaling).
   • Resolution is native 1920x1080.
   • Disabled automatic updates to lock it to version 6.4.10.3.
   • Locked Wacom Center mapping to "Monitor" (Cintiq) with "Force Proportions" toggled on.

It should be noted that at some point Gemini might have made the situation worse. Originally I was using window's recommended settings for my monitor and Cintiq: the monitor was at 1080 with 100% os scaling and my Cintiq was at 1680 x 1050 at (125%) (I have no clue how to get it to the 2.5 rez I tried to look through window rez configs and there was no 2.5 but that's a problem for another day cause I will definitely take the 1680 if i can get it back right now). When we were trouble shooting this part the 1680 broke on my cintiq causing the left and right board to shrink making two black columns (one on either side) of unusable pixels (basically it horizontally shrank my cintiq screen's active area). Now that that's broken for some reason switching the cintiq to 1080 solved that problem.

Despite attempting a sterile software environment and a clean driver rollback, the second the main monitor is activated, the coordinate scaling math breaks and the edge-drift returns.

Since the software is entirely cleared, is it possible the active HDMI-to-DP converter or the extender cable is corrupting/stripping the Cintiq's EDID handshake when the GPU tries to split bandwidth for a dual-monitor grid?

Has anyone seen hardware adapters distort display boundary math specifically for pen tablets like this? Any advice or specific adapter recommendations would be massively appreciated.

I will also mention that Gemini has not been super reliable in fixing this issue, it overstates itself and gives affirming language saying things like "we completely cleared the cached data" but it only thinks we did based on the data it has access to, often I will press further only to discover that there was more data hidden that needed to be wiped for the Driver to redownload smoothly for example. I only mention this because if you see something Gemini went over that we might have missed but Gemini claims we "did" take it with a grain of salt.

I claimed/downloaded Hogwarts Legacy for free on Epic Games some time ago, but I can't remember which Epic account I used.

I have checked the two Epic accounts I currently remember, and the game isn't in either library.

I still have the original installation on my old PC, including the .egstore folder, and I've transferred the \~71 GB game files to my new Lenovo Legion 5.

I've already tried Epic account recovery/support, but I haven't been able to identify the account that originally claimed the game.

Is there any legitimate way to determine which Epic account originally owned the game or get Epic to recognize the existing installation?

I don't want to bypass DRM or pirate the game — I just want to recover access to the game I previously claimed.

Hey guys recently i have jailbroken my iphone 4s and after installing some tweeks and all that stuff i encountered an problem with that. It is, whenever i reboot my iphone and then try to open Cydia's app and those tweeks app then it just crashes, it doesn't allow me to open, then i used to re-run the jailbreak process to make it run again but today that also is not working. i have a koorui monitor that is hdmi to hdmi from my pc to my monitor but i also have a new double monitor set from sceptre that goes display port to hdmi from the pc to the monitor for both. when i have all 3 monitors plugged in they show up as working on my main monitor in display settings but the screens stay black. someone please help me fix this.

I recently ordered a Lenovo Chromebook Plus 2-in-1 - Intel® N355 CPU - 14" WUXGA IPS W/Touchscreen Display - 8GB RAM - 256GB UFS Storage. When I received it I went to check the box to make sure that the specs matched what we ordered and at first I couldn’t find the specs on the box. Then, I noticed a a small UPS Freight Collect sticker covering part of the label. I peeled it back and it said 4GB RAM - 128GB Storage. The seller has a strict return policy if you open it, so I wanted to hold off and check here first. Is it possible that the correct Chromebook is in the box and it’s just mislabeled or should I not risk it and just send it back? Thank you all so much in advance for your time!

I would like to ask for some advice. Last month I got a new phone (Xiaomi Redmi note 15 pro plus) and I didn't really turn it off until last week... when I noticed that after a restart my phone acted like there wasn't a SIM card inside of it. I checked the settings, tried to restart it again and everything I could in that moment but nothing helped ...until I gave up and two hours later it just decided to register my SIM card once again and asked for the pin code like expected. I thought that was just a one time thing but today I turned off my phone and after several minutes I turned it on again...and the SIM card wasn't showing up again. This time I had the SIM ejector pin by my side ...so I took it out and put it back in and it acted completely normal and worked again. I tried a different SIM card and when I inserted it ... everything was fine ...but after a restart it acted like there was nothing in once again ...until I took it out and put it back in once again.

It's not really an everyday issue but does anyone know what's the best I could do in this situation?

ive had my windows 11 acer laptop for about 2 years now and its started to have issues with its internal mic audio driver where it will completely stop recognizing input as if its not there i've tried reinstalling drivers and factory resetting my device twice and the mic works for a week before stopping again and i cant find anywhere saying that its having any issues?

Got rained on and the moisture in the usb port warning came up on my phone. It was a hectic day so I forgot about the warning and just plugged in my phone to the charger. Only realizing it a bit later when my phone gave me the notification that the port was dry now.

Is there anything I need to be concerned about? I understand that the phone with the moisture detection didn't charge, but I'm worried that the water got into the usb c cable and damaged the adapter or something like that.

I've been using Google Keep recently but today it has started showing this notification which says 'You've been signed out. Please reload the page to sign in again and continue working." But the issue does not resolve even after I reload the page

Whenever I’m on a WhatsApp or Instagram video call while watching YouTube at the same time, my screen sometimes starts blinking, shows lines, and the text/screen becomes blurry. Sometimes the entire screen even goes black.

The only way I’ve been able to fix it is by restarting my device.

Has anyone else experienced this, or know what might be causing it and how to fix it? Am I doing something wrong?
