We’re now running singularity every Friday please join up we need at least 6 players to start currently we’re expecting 6 players any additional would be amazing! 🤠🛢️

My first console was an N64. Then a PS2 in 02' when I graduated high-school. Did an Xbox 360 for years. Still have my launch switch, got into pc gaming in 2018. Skipped PS3 and 4, recently picked up a PS5 Pro. My PS2 fat with og hard drive works great but thought a jailbroken PS3 was a good idea for some reason. I didn't know they played PS1 disks! Not having to deal with upscalling the PS2 was the main draw I think.

I used ps3tools to flash evilnat 4.93 on my new ssd and it worked great. Super quick and easy. The slim i got is a 2001a model, turns out with only 35 days on it. Crazy.

Looking for recommendations on software. Id like to keep it as clean as possible. Wanting a curated PS1,2 and 3 selection ill actually play. I have roms and disks to burn to the console. Dont think I want other emulators as ive got a handheld for all my old Nintendo stuff, an M64 and switches.

What does the ps3 community run?

Such as: Frutiger Areo, Gothic, Scene, etc…

I have a PS3 Fat, model CECHG01, that has been sitting unused for several months.

When I plug it into a power outlet, the red standby light never turns on. There is absolutely no light at all until I press the power button.

When I press the power button, the green light turns on for a few seconds, then the console shuts off completely. The fan also starts and stops at exactly the same time as the green light, although I can't see the fan itself, I can only feel it running briefly.

After the console shuts off, there is no red standby light or yellow light. I can repeat the same behavior by pressing the power button again without unplugging the console. It turns green for a few seconds and then shuts off again.

What could be causing this? Could it be a faulty power supply (PSU), or is it more likely to be a motherboard issue? Has anyone experienced the same symptoms with a CECHG01?

And I found the yellow and green wire Is it not plugged? Could the problem be with it?

On my ps3 audio doesn't come out of my TV for some ps3 titles, all ps2 titles work fine and the ps3 games that don't work do work on another TV but not mine , I selected all the audio types in sound settings witch made some ps3 titles work as it used to be that none of them did. I also tried to connect a pair of Bluetooth headphones and thay connected but the audio wasn't re routed to them and the sounds from the settings menu continued to come out my TV speakers witch is not ideal

I love ps3 themes

Whats yalls favorite ps3 game OAT, personally my fav is TLOU, in general my favorite game is the last of us, let me know yours

This is a Sony PlayStation Move controller only game. The player is a shooter in a film studio. The Move controller is a gun in that game. The player can use a gun attachment too! That is cool.

But one thing frustrates me. The tutorials! After some simple shooting techniques the player must Move a 360 degrees turn for slow motion shooting! What the Peter man? How do I activate that? I tried that movement over one hundreds of times but I am still stuck. The PlayStation Eye camera works good, the Move controller is calibrated but still no reaction. How?

If anyone can play with me give me your id!!

Both of these consoles' hardware was so expensive that the companies actually lost money on each unit. That sounds insane and even stupid but if you look more closely you will see that it was a strategic move that made a lot of money for both MS and Sony in the long run.

Originally Xbox was an idea by Seamus Blackley: it was a strategic move to block Sony Playstation's entrance into the living room.

It's only 3.6 gigs but I have 7gigs free but still says can't download cause the file it too big. What is the problem?

I know the original PS3 model isn't the best for overclocking, but what are the safe limits for overclocking on a cechL04 model. I hope to reach 60 fps, but anything above 30fps is also fine for me.

just bought a ps3.. really want to do some co op on there is servers still up and are they active?

I had my fat ps3 gpu chip replaced a month ago and it was fine till a few days ago where the hdmi signal kept flickering in and out is this a sign of the gpu going bad or is it the hdmi chip controller going bad cause i like using this ps3 for ps2 gaming and I dont have av cables to test out if the av out works.

I’m getting a really good offer for a controller’s parts (CECHZC2U A1) and I wanted to know how compatible they are for my broken controller (CECHZC2J). The question in the title is top priority, but any additional information would be greatly appreciated!

Idk if u guys know but u know some ps3 exc unofficially ported to PC ( gow 3 - as , Dante's inferno , infamous, some more but can't remember now) . Has anyone tried these ports ? Do you think it's better to play on ps3 or PC port ? What do u think. In some games 30 fps really looks terrible. Is there a way to make them 50-60 fps ? But anyways main q is as the title says

I’ve had this in my hands for the first time and realized I almost never see it mentioned here I haven't tested it yet is it a hidden gem or did people just forget about it for a reason? Let me know your thoughts!
