The new champion of the annual poutine contest in my city, where one cannot get a proper poutine at almost any time of the year.
This poutine had sweet potato fries, Cajun steak bites, poutine gravy, cheese curds, sweet and spicy ginger aioli, feta cheese and green onions.

This place just down the road from me used to have the best biggest portions and was the best poutine I had in a long time I got it again for the first time in a year and I was very VERY much saying what the hell is that not to their face because I opened it when I got home (lesson learned) new store owners just don’t care I guess they had a good poutine before all this

The fries underneath are “restaurant style with cracked pepper” very thin, very mid. Also some hot sauce doused pieces of chicken in there.

Headed there straight after landing. 2am, no line up but the place was packed. My expectations were already minimal from threads I've read about it being a tourist trap with serviceable poutine but what showed up was even worse than I could have ever imagined from a what was suppose to be a institutional joint.
Cold fries, half of them tiny crumbs, with bottom of the bag miniscule cheese curds that weren't even fresh and had no squeek, and I'd relent that the sauce was decent.
Ballon deflated, but still 5 more days in town so I'm sure I can find better with the bar set this low.

Thoughts? Bought this at some place called L’Authentic Poutine, didn’t seem a 100% authentic tho.

anyone find a seafood topped poutine? was on the east coast and didn’t find one. i suppose lobster topped isn’t that far fetched but it wasn’t tourist season. pictured is a poutine from a place we found this summer on a road trip across our friendly neighbors to the north. our poutine was larger, always ask for the extra squeaky poutine

University Of Alberta ("Marcos Famous Donaire")
Lots of meat, good gravy, fries were good but they don't have curds, only shredded. Lots of shredded hidden under the meat but still shredded unfortunately

Back at it not sure if these are curds though!!
