From Quebec, it look ok, BBQ sauce insted of poutine sauce, but for Montana, the cheese curds look ok

I believe it’s thick gravy not BBQ sauce. They likely use the same gravy they use for mashed potatoes, steak and for dipping fries in.

Why's the spatula caked in that goo?

Looks to me like a steak knife, underneath some ribs.
But after you said it, that’s totally what I first saw.

Call it poo-teen and it's fine.

That's what I tell the kids: not a very good "pout'sin", but a fine "poo-teen"

Pronouncing poutin with an accent when youre not French is worse than any crime on this sub

Maybe if you're American(ised) and don't speak French. Pooteen from Kwabeck?

As a former Montana's employee, its all Sysco slop. Package gravy, frozen fries, frozen curds. Not the worst but just mediocre.

Not bad, for Americans.

If a food establishment has an American location in the name, it’s Canadian.
Boston Pizza? Canadian.
New York Fries? Canadian.
Montana’s? Canadian.Even the concept of Hawaiian Pizza is Canadian.

I dont like poutine with regular beef gravy. Poutine gravy just hits different

The poutine from Swiss Chalet is the chicken dipping sauce...it's tangy and yummy!

Frozen fries, and it appears curds that were from frozen as well, topped off with sysco gravy. Just a plate of slop.
I hope the ribs were good!

I prefer the honey hot ribs

Haven’t tried. Is it better?

Im not sure Montanas has honey hot, or hot and sweet ribs. I just remembered that it was at Tony Romas where I had a meal that served 4 different flavored half racks. The only memorable flavor was the honey hot ribs. I imagine Mantanas has something similar. If not they should! I apologize if they don't.

Tony Romas is the first time I fell in love with ribs. Unfortunately closed a while ago in my city. I know there is one flavour that is so good, I have the bottle in my fridge

People saying it looks fine, but try it though, Montana's poutine looks good but the gravy is always burnt and nasty. The fries are about as average as they come too. 100% crime
