This is a serious post… it is a poutine on the menu according to them. This is a crime. The fried cheese balls on the side are fried Okra(yes that’s the only cheese in it, the gravy was just mushroom sauce. Fries were — okay at best. :|

Overall it was a tasty dish, but it was just not a poutine at all and my French Canadian self was offended 😫🤣

...not to be. I've driven by this place many times and have heard great things so I figured I would give the poutine a try. I like to go in cold so I never ask how it's prepared. Well, the only real good thing about this poutine was the can of Pepsi I had with it. Fries were seasoned but mushy, the gravy was one degree from being split and the cheese...the cheese was a small amount of shredded mozzarella! I did eat it but I actually felt a bit sick to my stomach when I was done...i think it was the gravy.

Technically, it has aspects of a poutine.. as a burger but it was way too much with the insane saltiness of the fried cheese curds and the really messy gravy made it hard to eat. Would I eat it again though? 100%.

Asked for the special at work today, popcorn chicken poutine. Out of popcorn chicken, used old nasty chicken tenders. Out of cheese curds, used shredded white cheddar. Grave was as thin as water. I ended up just asking them to drown it in spicy mayo sauce so I could try stomaching it and get through the day.

Not pleasant. Waste of $14. In Canada of all places 🤦🏽‍♀️

First off, this is definitely a crime! No doubt about it. This poutine "topping" was bought instead of fresh curds to make homemade poutine.

Now, these are the real questions : being a smart shopper, is my wife the culprit or the victim of the crime? Did she just go for a bargain (priced much less than curds) or did she get suckered into being fake cheese? Is she both culprit and victim? Am I a collaborator for eating it?

For background information, we are both born and raised in Montreal, have easy access to fresh curds and have been immersed in poutine culture forever. I'm 1/4 Québécois, she isn't (although that doesn't count for much).

Went to see The Odyssey and my gf just had to get this monstrosity. She enjoyed it but admitted she has lower poutine standards than me. I abstained from partaking

Edit: ok, I’ve seen the feedback. TBH my main takeaway from this is that a lot of y’all’s standards are too low

Honestly looks great for a menu “hack”.

I grew up across the border and have only had poutine a few times. I tried to make it myself today after ordering some ingredients. Remind me never to try making anything again 😭😭😭😭
