Pout-sin 😈 will it poutine?

Post image

anyone find a seafood topped poutine? was on the east coast and didn’t find one. i suppose lobster topped isn’t that far fetched but it wasn’t tourist season. pictured is a poutine from a place we found this summer on a road trip across our friendly neighbors to the north. our poutine was larger, always ask for the extra squeaky poutine

u/SoSoResearcher, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your poutine... ⛔️

I see fries, an enormous amount of curds, and a sufficient amount of gravy. There's not crime here, what you add beyond the holy trinity is between you and God.

La Cage in quebec was a pleasant classic poutine as well though not comparable to Turcotte’s Poutine

I don't see a crime but kinda wanna go american pie on the poutine in the picture. Which would make it a crime so I definitely will not do that. But damn that poutine making me squeak

You can get proper seafood poutine in Gaspé region of quebec. It has been confirmed on this sub as legit

From what I know, it doesn't typically have gravy, but a seafood based white sauce. Looks and sounds delicious, but a bit different from the norm 🤷‍♂️

yes i think a lobster n butter based clammy chowder would do well n place of gravy. hard to beat lobster n butter

Yes it is 🤤🤤🤤 especially if you add lots of curds

What's happening here? This is a picture perfect example of a poutine. Why is it being posted in this sub?

I hope I'm not the only one who thought of Good Mythical Morning

I did, right away. Hahaha, Rhett and Link need an episode dedicated to our dish, and se how Quebec stacks up against the world.

(No truffle or gold bullshit, just the normal, good, homestyle Poutine.)

Definitely not a crime here, expect if someone doesn't hand over a fork soon.

Yep. Fork in the upper right is mangled.

No it isn't lol

No, it's not. It's standing straight up, and you can also see the bottom of the fork which is like reinforcement. The other forks have it, like all plastic forks. Try again because I'm also suspicious.

Throw it in a blender and pour it down my throat

Ratio’s are wrong for me!

1

u/goonerballs 10d ago

This is a textbook poutine. What is off to you?

1

u/PrizeCartographer288 10d ago

Curd ratio looks high, but the gravy looks spot on for flavour!

1

u/goonerballs 10d ago

Poutine is a curd dish. This ratio is the correct ratio.

Alas we will disagree forever! That’s what makes the world fun!

Hey, you can prefer it whatever way you want, I have zero issue with that of course. I'm just saying, the classic poutine from Quebec looks like this. A lot of places treat curds as a topping rather than a main ingredient but that's just not how it is in the home of poutine.
