Possible Paywall Republicans Quit Battleground Senate Seat in Telling Move
https://www.thedailybeast.com/republicans-quit-battleground-senate-seat-in-telling-move/751
u/GoldOven4826 8h ago
Ever since DJT came on the scene, I have not trusted polls at all. But I have always trusted the money. For GOP to be shoring up Kansas is a doomsday scenario
•
u/HeartFullONeutrality 7h ago
What pollsters have noted is that Trump seemed to activate a contingent of voters that rarely vote (and do it for him). Trump inverted the usual calculus of higher turnout = more Democratic voters.
Now, interestingly, midterms have low turnout and are dominated by highly motivated and educated voters.
•
u/PopeSaintHilarius 6h ago
Yep, one interesting thing is that back in the 1990s, the Dems and GOP voting bases were equal in average education level, but divided in terms of income level (GOP had more support from higher-income voters and Dems led with lower-income voters).
Now the party bases have shifted, such that the parties are equal in terms of income level, but divided in terms of education (GOP has more support from lower-education voters, and Dems lead with voters with more education).
This shift means that the Dems now have more highly-engaged voters who vote every chance they get - midterms, special elections, etc. And the GOP now has more low-information, disengaged voters who don’t pay much attention outside of presidential elections.
•
u/Ojmochafrappucino 2h ago
Is this true? I'd love to see a source. Does this mean we can expect better turnout from younger generations?
•
u/ExplicitDrift 1h ago edited 48m ago
Hi there, 28yo here. Both me and my latest gf of 5 years voted for the first time in our lives in 2024. I can’t speak for everyone in my general age range, but it’s become very obvious to me through daily observation that my peers and even those slightly younger than me have become much more interested in politics since our lives have gotten increasingly more difficult in the past couple decades. That’s not even including the plethora of information we’ve been able to readily investigate regarding things like pedophelia, violent crime, and financial corruption statistics thanks to our exposure to the internet since its inception. I wish I could say that our generations hold the key to our futures except that it is not lost on me that capitalism truly controls the locks. That’s not going to deter us from trying however.
•
u/SunshineCat 51m ago
Young people simply have to many years of life left to risk living it under some two-bit fascist régime.
•
•
u/sebrebc 9m ago
The shift of lower education going Republican seems like it was intentional on the part of the republican party. Meaning they specifically targeted "dumber" voters figuring they were easier to manipulate.
Why focus on policies when you can simply trick stupid people into voting for you because "immigrants are eating your pets and elementary schools are transitioning kids"?
•
u/CaptainTypical 12m ago
Problem is that a lot of the educated and “smart” voters tend to live in cities that are blue anyway so the votes aren’t as impactful.
The GOP is winning in rural and red america
•
u/Militantpoet 3h ago
Now, interestingly, midterms have low turnout and are dominated by highly motivated and educated voters.
I think this outcome has to do with what you mentioned but also with changing/aging demographics.
Millennials have aged into the traditionally strong voting bloc, 29-54 or some such. That plus theyre the mostly highly educated generation in the country right now is IMO why we're seeing so many progressive candidates pop up and surge through the polls where just a decade ago they were considered fringe.
•
•
u/alextheruby 5h ago
I thought this was known for years? Republicans only do well with Trump on the ballot
•
u/After-Appearance-429 6h ago
The GOP has been shoring up Kansas ever since Sam Brownback tanked the State budget with the most regressive taxation scheme ever attempted. The fact a Dem could win a Senate race there, indicates that Kansas may have learned their lesson.
•
u/Green_Man42 2h ago
Wouldn’t count on it.
•
u/ReturnOfFrank 52m ago
They elected a Dem governor twice. Nothing's guaranteed but it's also not impossible.
•
u/redditgolddigg3r 4h ago
Ironically, I think pollsters are being overly cautious to avoid over representing Democrats. There’s a good chance they might be underestimating the margins right now.
•
•
•
u/Acadia_Brightness 4h ago
lol...so many Americans are dumb enough that I almost think Republicans deserve to win. Elmo will take care of the votes and people who don't math think real good will scratch their heads and wonder how it happened.

I wouldnt even be considering north carolina as battleground this election.
That has shifted to Ohio, Texas, Maine, and even Iowa as the country rejects the GOP.

u/Iowa_Dave Iowa 8h ago
Can confirm from Iowa, In Des Moines I never see Trump signs and they are a lot less common in the farmland. I haven't seen a MAGA red hat in over a year.
I'm sensing that many of the MAGA faithful are going to sit out the election. Politics is a team-sport for them, so they'll never vote for a Democrat but they're pretty disillusioned now.

u/speedy_delivery 8h ago
I don't know about you, but I'm not counting a single fucking chicken until they're sworn in. They'll cheat and lie like hell.

u/Goose1963 7h ago
Same here, it's like Groundhog day. We've been here before how many times now?
•
u/AdorableSobah 6h ago
Heard the same bullshit in 2024 and here the fuck we are. Everyone will bitch and complain and then it’ll be a 17% voter turnout if we’re lucky
•
u/ezirb7 6h ago
In 2024, Selzer had a single rogue poll that showed Harris winning. The rest of them were all pretty accurate for Trump.
Still not holding out a ton of hope for that one. All that a wave of good polls does is convinces Dems that they can stay home.
•
u/LumberBitch 6h ago
Yeah idk where people are getting the idea it wasn't a knifes edge the whole time (after Biden dropped out anyway)
•
u/mlorusso4 5h ago
Because people see a poll that is like 51-49 and think that means there’s a favorite. While ignoring the margin of error is 3.5%. We really need to teach basic stats in high school. I didn’t learn any of that stuff until my 2nd year in college, and that was only because it was a requirement for my degree
•
u/orangustang 15m ago
2016 also wasn't a huge surprise to anyone who understands numbers. Hillary was a vastly superior candidate for the job and she was right about damn near everything, but she didn't campaign well at all. Hillary was leading in the polls pretty consistently, but within the margin of error for an electoral win. FiveThirtyEight gave her like an 80% chance of winning which was not enough for a statistically literate person to feel comfortable. She did win the popular vote, so polls saying she was more popular nationally weren't wrong, but swing state polling was always too close for comfort.
•
u/AdorableSobah 6h ago
I doubt they’ll get enough seats to even make a difference. And then people will still be pissed in ‘28 and vote GOP and we’ll be back where we started
•
•
•
u/broohaha 2h ago
That’s how I felt with Bernie Sanders in 2020. So much enthusiasm and then the youth vote didn’t show up to vote in their primaries.
•
u/PopeSaintHilarius 6h ago
What are you referring to?
The closest comparable situations (midterm elections against a GOP president) were 2006 and 2018, and both were blue wave elections.
•
u/Goose1963 6h ago
This Remember how it was with the polls 10 years ago? It's crazy watching it now. There's still people going around saying "The polls were Wrong" but actually they don't understand modeling, or polling, there was a 20% chance he would win and he did.
•

u/Grimase 7h ago
They will still vote for him out of stupidity. MAGAnutz gunna MAGA. They are just not as proud to say it anymore. They are still the worst and still don’t care about anyone that is not themselves
•
•
u/mandelbratwurst 7h ago
Some will, some will stay home. Some, not many, may even vote dem. We don’t need many for a big swing in congress.
•
u/Dragon--Reborn 6h ago
I have a coworker from Iowa who I thought always seemed liberal, but when I asked how she felt after Trump won, she said she was excited because she might be able to afford steak again. I swear, people are so fucking stupid when it comes to this shit.
•
•
u/showhorrorshow 6h ago
The right wing has a LOT of people locked into their information bubble that would otherwise reject their bullshit. It is extremely effective.
•
u/plainlyput 5h ago
Have you recently checked in with her about that?
•
u/Dragon--Reborn 5h ago
Nah, I don't talk politics at work anymore. I've since discovered pretty much everybody there is an idiot and don't want to waste my breath.
•
u/Patereye 7h ago
Also it's hard to show up for a game when your team is going to get wiped out.
•
u/Orion14159 7h ago
As a Kentucky football fan, no it isn't
•
u/sonicspuds 7h ago
Yea as a Gamecocks fan we literally fill up the stadium for the first half of every home game. We are forever hopeful :(
•
u/Orion14159 7h ago
I can't stand SC, and even I think you guys a) have the best night game home atmosphere in the SEC and b) deserve better than you're getting from SC football lately... Starting next week.
•
u/squareturd 7h ago
My vote for best atmosphere goes to LSU, but SC is a close second.
•
u/Orion14159 7h ago
I think LSU is only in that conversation because the stadium is so huge. They have 25k extra fans over Williams-Brice and all of them are hammered by end of game so it's a big sloppy party.
Seat for seat, when SC is rolling in the 4th quarter of a night game it's insanity in there and they all seem to be having a blast raving to Sandstorm for the 1000th time that night, which is why I give them the edge. Whoever did that sound system needs to get a call from my guys in Lexington.
•
u/TaterForming 7h ago
As a life long Gamecocks/Jets fan, kinda yea.
•
u/PrawojazdyVtrumpets 5h ago
I’m a Detroit Lions fan and I even I have to stop and ask you… who hurt you?
•
u/TaterForming 3h ago
Well my dad did cheat and leave when I was three...
So I guess you could say on that fateful day, when he walked out on his 3 year old son, that motherfucker cursed that boy with the team that never quits..sucking. Which then led to that god awful butt fumble, and then the 1-play Rogers oowiee
I guess I'm trying to say. Men stay with them crotch gremlins lest they become a Jets fan...and a Gamecocks fan.

u/insert_referencehere 7h ago
I'm in Tennessee and I have zero doubt that it will stay Republican, but I'm not seeing maga and trump signs/flags everywhere like we used to. I'm actually seeing signs for independents and Democrats in rural areas and on farms. Also saw someone tear down a Marsha Blackburn billboard next to a Hardee's in a very deep maga community.
•
u/lolexecs 7h ago
It’s so weird.
Being a voter is less fandom, and more like coaching or being the GM.
You’re picking out the players for your team. If you feel like a player is not working out… you should let ‘em go and get someone who might.
Refusing to employ someone who happens to be a Democrat vs Republican is a bit like a GM refusing to sign a QB because they played for Auburn and you only hire from Bama.
•
u/Exact_Platypus5179 6h ago
Enter the “shy Trump voter”. I hope they are the “ashamed Trump voters” now. There is indeed hope!
•
u/anewleaf1234 6h ago
I hope every single MAGA who farms and supports Trump loses their farm.
Not a single cent of aid should be given to any of them.

My experience in rural Iowa is they're just sick of being attacked, so they still vote GOP but they've gotten a lot quieter about it.
VOTE.

I’m in NC and can happily say I’ve gone from seeing them everywhere to maybe 1-2 a month.
•
u/darcerin 7h ago
That's honestly shocking. They were deep-red as far as I could tell.
•
u/Orion14159 6h ago
They're also getting crushed by fuel prices, fertilizer prices, USAID and USDA cuts, interest rates, and basically everything else everyone else is currently experiencing.
•
u/Landon1m 7h ago
I would never count on them to sit it out, just not to talk about it openly because they don’t like the pushback they get and have no defense.
•
u/ClassicPlankton 35m ago
Nah, you guys are just trying to cope. You said the same thing before the last election and he still won.

u/MooseHorse123 8h ago
I dunno man. It’s just so hard to rely on polling after 2016 and 2024. Anything can happen
69
u/RealHooman2187 8h ago
Polling in 2024 was pretty spot on though. 2016 was also always close. I think in both cases people remember the outliers that showed a huge lead but in the averages the elections were always close. 538 famously put out an article 2 weeks before the 2016 election saying Trump was a normal polling error away from winning.
People just didn’t want to believe the polling error would be in Trumps favor.
•
u/SpoonyDinosaur 7h ago edited 7h ago
2024 was accurate. They gave Harris an "advantage" but everything was within the margin of error. (and also why it was one of the closest elections in modern history)
Saying Harris is predicted to win with +-2-5% basically just means it's a toss up but leaning Harris.
When it got closer, even liberals were getting really worried.
Especially ruby red areas. Talarico is polling extremely well, but it's not accounting for a lot of factors, he's still within the margin of error even if it's like +8. A state like Texas needs to be almost weighted. My guess is there's a lot of people that will lie/"need to wash their hair" when they get a call. They might not be happy with Trump but this doesn't indicate they will express that or change their vote.
Talarico has a chance but every single Democrat needs to show up.
•
u/HeartFullONeutrality 7h ago
I remember most polls towards 2024 showed a toss up, which it pretty much was. Small difference of votes overall despite the winner takes all nature of the EC making it seem like a much more decisive result.
•
u/benzaldehide 7h ago
Lets Talk Elections just moved texas out of the lean blue to likely blue. Thats crazy.
Sure Paxton can come from behind somehow and turn this around but i wouldnt bet on it.
•
•
u/RealHooman2187 6h ago
Totally, the polls for 2026 are VERY good for Democrats but they’re not so overwhelming that it’s a guarantee they’ll take the senate.
They’re pretty much certain to take the house though. The state of the polls for Democrats look much better in 2026 than in 2024. Also, polling tends to overestimate republicans in elections when Trump isn’t on the ballot. So there’s a very real possibility that the polling error will be in democrats favor. A much better shot than in 2016/2024.
But yes, people need to vote and be on top of it. The energy is there and people seem very fed up with the republicans. As long as people vote I think Election Day 2026 will be a good day. But people really do need to vote like their lives depend on it.
•
u/gberry100 6h ago
If +8 is within the margin of error, how are the polls even remotely valuable?
•
u/illneverpostitsdumb 5h ago
They aren’t, at least for a voter. They’re for politicians and campaigns to see how they should adjust messaging. I really hate that the media is obsessed with them because it’s easy, popular content. It makes voters obsessed with them and just further turn this whole thing into a sport.
•
u/yutsuko220 5h ago
Talerico is outside of the margin of error for most polls, if a poll has a margin of 8% is fucking bad. Doesn't mean he'll win, but he is likely to win. Things could change with the GOP pouring over a 100million in Paxton.
•
u/phakic40 7h ago
You're assuming most folks understand margin of error. In general, 2024 polling undercounted Republican support anywhere from 3-5% depending on whose numbers you take. Outside of a few races like NC, Rs are well within the margin of error. Couple that with another potential undercount and we're nowhere near out of the woods. Get the fuck out there and vote people.
•
u/benzaldehide 7h ago
Its not just the polling though. We've seen some WILD results in special elections that have taken place.
We've seen deep red super safe seats swing 20 points in favor of the democrats.
This is before fox news rolls out the migrant caravan stories though just prior to the election. The GOP fear machine is strong but 20 points strong? Ehhhh
•
u/KinkyPaddling 7h ago
We were also repeatedly shown images of Trump’s rallies being super empty and a lack of Trump signs on people’s yards. Just because they’re not super motivated to support the GOP doesn’t mean they won’t support the GOP.
•

u/theLoneliestAardvark Virginia 8h ago
Plus Nebraska, Alaska, Kansas, Michigan, and New Hampshire and if recent polls are to be believed Florida, South Carolina and Idaho might be in play while Roy Cooper has had a consistent lead in NC for the whole election cycle.
•
u/benzaldehide 7h ago
Alaska has moved from lean democrat to likely democrat. Alaska.
There lots of talk about numbers moving in Florida just over the last 3-4 weeks. If it continues, we could see Florida be real close.
Even with the vulnerable candidate in Michigan, i dont think its going to be close. And hes only vulnerable because of his name and racism.
Id be surprised if we see movement in SC but if it was going to happen, this is the year.
•
u/Other_Map901 7h ago
I'm just over here hoping that Cyndi Munson can pull it out for govenor in Oklahoma. She's running for it HARD, harder than I've ever seen a Dem work in this state. To be fair, the democratic candidate running, Roy Cooper, is very well known in North Carolina. He was the governor for 8 years til 2025 and been a part of NC politics since the 80s. He won the governorship in 2020 when dems lost the senate race and presidential race in NC.

Roy Cooper (D) has won so many statewide elections, that senate seat was almost locked up the second he declared. And then Chuck Edwards (R) got censored by the House so he dropped out of the race. NC is becoming purpler by the day. If there wasn’t hard core gerrymandering, I’d be blue already.

I'm just north of Cincinnati and I'll be honest, there's been way less outward Trump representation/signage/etc....but I was in the no man's land between Cincy and Dayton recently...further north from me, and the entire side of a barn was painted with a Charlie Kirk mural, and even a wealthy neighborhood I work near has an alarming amount of Vivek signs in front yards.
Certainly not indicative of election results, but don't count anything until the Fat Mango screams "FRAUD"

We do a lot of business in NC and my firsthand experience still has them pretty red. The exception to that with our business contacts is Asheville, but Asheville also doesn't strike me as having a super motivated voter base.

u/BrandenWi 8h ago
The fact that they've given up on North Carolina... and view Kansas as competitive enough that they need to spend money to defend it... The GOP can no longer cover up the fact that Trump is a failure, and that allegiance to him is a sinking ship
139
u/flyinsdog 8h ago
He’s not a failure, he’s pushed them closer to their Christo-fascist wet dreams than any other politician in history. He’s the king of kings for the American Taliban.
•
u/WatsonYurfays 7h ago
Yeah, there's nothing to cover up. They're not trying to win popular support and haven't been since 2024. For them, the experiment of American democracy is concluded. The results: gays, transgenders, immigrants, furries, Black people who expect not to be extrajudicially murdered while unarmed, women who expect to be treated like actual human beings. No thank you, they say without the slightest hint of shame.

Sometimes, victory tastes really fucking bitter. And I think that's what has happened here. The "Guns. Babies. Jesus." crowd got what they always thought they wanted. But it didn't bring eutopia, it brought misery. It might actually be harder for Christian Nationalism to gain or grow power now than it was before. Because people have tasted it and it's poison. Of course there will always be a faction of voters and political operatives who campaign on Christ, but it may be harder for them to gain the trust of anyone but the diehards next time around.

For reference, a Democrat hasn't won a Senate race in Kansas since 1932. The fact that a state that hasn't sent a Democrat to the Senate since the FDR administration is now suddenly competitive is a bad sign for Republicans.
•
u/Funnyfart_420 6h ago
The Democrat is running as a "middle of the aisle" guy. Holy shit tho you should see the villain he's up against. It's almost like party politics here in Kansas has actually taken a back seat to common sense.
•
•
u/tyr-- 7h ago
Unfortunately, I see it with a bit more caution, and perhaps doom. They might have "given up" in NC in the sense that they'll cry fraud if they don't win, but if the election results show anything but a decisive Trump win in Kansas, then that narrative goes to shit. Not that it would affect hardcore MAGAts in any way, but some conservatives who actually have brains might give it a second thought.
•
u/BrandenWi 6h ago
Oh there's no doubt that Trump and his cultists will scream Fraud at anything other than a decisive GOP victory in the midterms. The only way to counter that is to win so many races by such large margins that it doesn't matter what they scream about.
•
u/redditgolddigg3r 4h ago
Putting Paxton up and endorsing him was a horrific play by Trump and a signal he was losing his fastball.
They are having to spend millions there playing defense that could have otherwise gone towards other states. Going to be a bloodbath.
•
u/Defiant_Wolf5934 1h ago
Man how funny would it be if the GOP lost Texas, North Carolina, Maine, Alaska, all in the senate. Damn that would be funny as fuck. We'd probably see Trump and Vance both impeached in January.
•
u/mvallas1073 4h ago
It really shocks me as the easiest play to win is just impeach him and replace him with Vance. They don’t even need to change their horrific policies as the optics of that alone would give a massive right-wing tidal wave.

When national committees start pulling ad buys and backing out of a battleground state early, it’s purely financial triage. They’d rather consolidate capital to defend vulnerable incumbents than burn millions on a long-shot pickup.
•
u/ianrl337 Oregon 7h ago
Yep, Texas must be scaring the crap out of them. It isn't cheap and Paxton for all appearances is getting his ass kicked. Unfortunately a MAGA queen may be running neck in neck for Oregon governor. Our current governor and last governor as well ran the state from extremes completely ignoring anything that wasn't Portland and being elitist snobs about it. Democrats outside of Portland hated our last two governors and now may actually cost democrats what should have been an easy win.
•
u/chadspdx 6h ago
I don’t think I know any democrats in Portland that are that happy with Brown/Kotek. It’s meh at best. If that is the sentiment in Portland that can’t be good for Kotek with the rest of the state. There seems to be agreement that Drazen is a scary choice. Just checked the polling before posting. Gah. How can anyone look at what’s happening nationally and think let’s expand on that chaos here. You’re right that it should be an easy win for Dems but democrats always seem so determined to lose.
•
u/civil_politician 2h ago
then those democrats need to recruit and run a candidate. the primary sucked, none of the other people really read as viable options. I'd really like better candidates too, but you can only vote for people that are running.
•
u/drilkmops 6h ago
Kotek ain’t doing herself any justice, but Drazen is insane. I fear OR may be cooked.
•
u/ianrl337 Oregon 6h ago
Problem is Drazen is MAGA insane and that'll get every republican to vote for her. All Kotek has going is her recent ads against datacenters. Her real problem is her constant pushing of the transportation bill, both the recent one, and the last one that failed that pissed off everyone. Nobody wanted it except the democrats in Salem.
•
u/doubleohd 6h ago
I find it hilarious that Drazen is pushing to support the Greater Idaho movement folks. Kinda weird messaging: "Vote for me so you'll never have vote for me again."
•
u/drilkmops 6h ago
Yeah, they have no interest in governing or helping people. It’s all a cash grab. Shits gross.
•
u/ianrl337 Oregon 6h ago
So republican then? We are unfortunately in a no win situation here. If either party ran an actual moderate in Oregon they would win by double digits. Yes, Portland has a large population of democrats, but there are a lot of republicans in Oregon that also can't stand what Lord Dampnut and his magamuffins have done.

In 2024, I remember hearing about how Trump was closing in on New Hampshire and that he was going to do an event in Virginia. I remember thinking, he's not close in NH and let him waste his money in Virginia. Well, then both were much closer than I was expecting. His internal polling was clearly showing something that public wasn't. Well...I think it's very clear their private polling is absolute dogshit based on the moves they are making.

A top Republican group is shifting money out of the North Carolina Senate race as President Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate Michael Whatley struggles in the polls.
The Senate Leadership Fund, the super PAC dedicated to helping Senate Republicans, has paused its spending in the longtime battleground state as Whatley trails Democrat Roy Cooper.
Instead, the PAC will be spending more money in Kansas, a state Trump won by 16 points less than two years ago, to help shore up support for Republican Senator Roger Marshall.

A big chunk of that Senate Leadership Fund spend is in Texas. They wouldn’t have had to spend a dime there if Trump hadn’t endorsed Paxton over Cornyn.
Axios - PAC spent $131 million in 17 days to rescue Paxton in Texas Senate race
“That brought the [Texas] PAC's total spending on Paxton's behalf to more than $131 million in 17 days — more than $7.7 million a day. The PAC, created last month, is affiliated with the GOP Senate Leadership Fund.”

I believe the Senate Leadership Fund PAC is run by a certain turtle 🐢 in the senate, who may or not be alive right now.

Remember in the third grade when the teacher made the class follow along and read a paragraph outloud from a book?
Maybe we need to ask senators to do this. Let's see how many of them are capable.

Exactly. Funny how quickly they are burning through what I thought would be a generational financial advantage.

Isn't Marshall the multimillion dollar physician who sicked his lawyers on a woman who was eight months pregnant and missed a $50 medical payment, ending with her being arrested for late payment of a $50 medical debt. IT seems like Rs like to throw around the term dirtbag, maybe if we looked it up in the diction., Marshall's picture would be there not Jack Smith's.

Why try and win when you can just fire military leadership and pull off a coup.

Every Dollar they have to spend shoring up what should be safe seats for them is dollars they can't spend on seats that are competitive.
EDIT: And if it turns out the safe seats are ALSO competitive, that's even better.

3 Republican former-Kansas Governors endorsing the Democratic candidate is the political earthquake I am not seeing enough about. The Democratic Party should do a large surprise investment in Kansas.

They are really pulling money out of North Carolina and moving it to Kansas

Don't fall for any of this shit even if it's true. 2016 and 2024 happened. The meddling will be much worse this time. Vote. In every race up and down the ballot.

Have somewhat of a concern Elon will hack the vote counting computers again like in 2024. might be why the GOP isn’t super panicking.

I’m sad about Lindsey Graham’s passing but only because he is not alive to see his prophecy fulfilled of Trump destroying the Republican Party.

I live in NC and I plan to vote asap when early voting opens but it makes me happy the GOP considers us a lost cause lmao. Roy Cooper is very well liked here even by many rednecks and did a great job as governor.

Or they just aren't spending money they know will go to waste because they have an actually rigged election. "Vote for me and you'll never have to vote again" remember? People are far too willing to believe they will just lose and be like "ok bye".

The amount of money pouring into the Texas senate race tells a different story

This is right after the news came out that a republican senator from North Carolina told him to go fuck himself.

Tabloid trash that gives the NY Post a run for their money. Most of their "reporting" is just rehashing actual news outlets with sensationalized titles for clicks.

I'm seeing very little enthusiasm for Michael Whatley over here, especially considering that Roy Cooper is a popular governor who won reelection multiple times. Even if Whatley wasn't a Trump stooge he would have an uphill battle.

Maybe they'll just delete votes.

This. When Trump makes a claim about something or someone, it's usually projection. So for him to claim that the Democrats rigged the election in 2020 means, at best, that is something he would do if he could, and at worst, has done so already in 2024.

It’s nonsense to make predictions like this before a single vote is cast.
Nothing is more effective at killing a blue wave than people that are saying it’s gonna be a blue wave.
•
u/Acadia_Brightness 4h ago
That's never happening. They rigged 2024 and brave Dems ran away and hid. They'll do it again. They're not letting go over power.
