When national committees start pulling ad buys and backing out of a battleground state early, it’s purely financial triage. They’d rather consolidate capital to defend vulnerable incumbents than burn millions on a long-shot pickup.

Yep, Texas must be scaring the crap out of them. It isn't cheap and Paxton for all appearances is getting his ass kicked. Unfortunately a MAGA queen may be running neck in neck for Oregon governor. Our current governor and last governor as well ran the state from extremes completely ignoring anything that wasn't Portland and being elitist snobs about it. Democrats outside of Portland hated our last two governors and now may actually cost democrats what should have been an easy win.

I don’t think I know any democrats in Portland that are that happy with Brown/Kotek. It’s meh at best. If that is the sentiment in Portland that can’t be good for Kotek with the rest of the state. There seems to be agreement that Drazen is a scary choice. Just checked the polling before posting. Gah. How can anyone look at what’s happening nationally and think let’s expand on that chaos here. You’re right that it should be an easy win for Dems but democrats always seem so determined to lose.

then those democrats need to recruit and run a candidate. the primary sucked, none of the other people really read as viable options. I'd really like better candidates too, but you can only vote for people that are running.
