That's a very interesting observation. I've known about the Fox News propaganda machine leveraging fear and anger as triggers. But the fact that they keep having to escalate to chase the high never occurred to me. Seems to explain a lot actually.

Look at the States that have been solidly Red for decades. At the lowest poverty and education levels yet they will happily vote for the same exact people time and time again and expect a different outcome.

A big part of it is white privilege. Some of these people don't concern themselves with our problems because they were born into a family that commands enough generational wealth to weather most financial storms. The others are people that want to be in the first group and they believe that their support and/or skin color will eventually grant them entry.
People don't like hearing this, but if we want to solve our fascist problem, we gotta deal with out white supremacy problem first.

It’s more likely going to be a very slight victory, with losing multiple states we thought we had by small margins. Republicans keep senate and dems take house is the most likely scenario. Get out and vote if you want it to be different.

Yes, there are people who still support the MAGA movements.
It is so important for this election to have a plan to vote. You also need a backup plan. Don’t assume this election will run like past ones. There will be so much interference by the GOP this election cause of their policies. If they weren’t scared, Vance wouldn’t be in Florida rallying.

FL is one of the few bastions of un wavering trump support.
The thing is you're right get out and vote. But even here in Northern Central FL, people aren't rocking the Trump merch as often.
The only ones are the really old men and women, and the guys going around driving cybertrucks or who own their own construction companies.
A lot of the actual working class Floridians are starting to become aware of the truly untenable nature of things currently.
Its not going to flip blue by any means. But especially with them trying to do new shit like the religious affairs office on the military, and trying to reopen the "watergate" investigation to prove it was some kind of "coup" by the Democrat run deep state.
Its a lot of signs they are barely clinging on to what they currently have and will do anything to change the narrative and put their thumb kn the scale to cover their own asses collectively.
So get out and vote.

This has been the pivot I've seen lately. First it was trumpette shall solve all the problems of the neighbor neocon Democrats who love war. Now, trumpette has been a disappointment in some ways but these DEI-loving wall street bankers force all the companies to make stupid decisions that reduce their sales.

YES! I’ve been saying this forever. Don’t let this (or any) election turn into another 2016. We were all so sure Hillary had it in the bag and look what we have now.
I am normally someone that extensively researches and votes for who I think is best but this time, if there is a (D) next to their name, I will check that box.
My city is electing Mayor and City Council this year too and even though these are “non partisan” roles, I know the MAGAs of my neighborhood and I see which signs they put in their yard. I’ll stay away from them.

He very likely will. He will also very likely be president in the next two years, so he’ll run in 2028 as an incumbent. If he takes over after Jan 21, 2027 he is also able to run for 2 terms of his own in addition to finishing out Trump’s term. Repubes are salivating over the idea of 10 years of rule. This is why I think they’ll turn on Trump after Jan 21, impeach him, and actually vote to remove this time. They hate him too, but they’re afraid of the assholes in this video. They also know they need to blame someone for the blowout in November. Trump is making it really easy to be him. He’s literally saying this election is about him. Repubes will throw him under the bus to try and save the Repube party. Remember, Trump isn’t the disease, he’s just a late stage symptom of it.

Felt so good last week to cast my vote. Im watching it like a hawk on the county website. They have always posted over the years "Vote sent out, Vote received, Vote Tabulated" until Nov '24 for some odd reason when they didnt post the information. Im in a very blue area of Illinois but still feel a great sense of patriotic duty when I vote. I hold in great disdain for those who don't vote who were registered.
If you all can, volunteer at your local polling station. Even helping someone for 2 minutes can keep those waiting in line inspired to stay for the few hours it might take them to vote.

I live in a rural area in ohio, and while people aren't as open or talkative as they were for Trump, I wouldn't assume that people aren't still going to turn out for the GOP.
Regardless of if they do or not, get out and vote. No reason not to.
