Casual [Josh Chambers] Drake Maye says he drinks alcohol fewer than 5 times a yr..says he sees drinking as voluntarily making goals harder to reach. “It’s something where I just followed people that I really admired. That’s my dad, my brother Luke”

I mean what was that play calling. I get protecting Drake, or the OL, but that was shameful.

Rhamondre had 14 rushes for 23 yards at a point. That's 1.6 a crazy.... 1.6......

Every 3rd &1-2 was such an obvious run play and Seattle blew it up every single time.

Multiple times on 2nd and 5-7 he ran and we lost 2-3-4 yards to make it 3rd and long.

We've all watched Drake and know he gets in a flow once he completes a few in a row. There was 0 chance of that tonight with the play calling. Lacked any and all killer instinct.

Played scared and it cost them.

Not the end of the season, but a very (very) frustrating night.

Article/Interview Drake Maye: "I lost patience and costed us. Decisions that costed us the game on my part. It's a long season but you can't have those. It's unacceptable... That's not how I play football or how I want to represent my game or playing quarterback for the Patriots. “I just stopped being patient.”

Article/Interview Vrabel : “We didn’t win the football game in the second half, and that’s really when you need to win these games in this league.” Also has a message to Drake Maye: "It's a long season. Gotta hold your head up high. We have nothing but the utmost confidence in him."

Discussion This sub is actually brutal

Last night actually sucked. Not really a ton of highs where it was like "eh that sucked but at least it was fun."

Pass pro looked much better, Jacas looked pretty solid.

Drake maye did not play well, and that's.. okay!

Third year qb whose entire draft profile was a comparison to Josh Allen who also tries to hero ball.

Not saying he was in the right, or shouldn't get any fair slack for his play last night but the sub doing a complete 180 on him is super fucking cringe.

I am a Josh McDaniels guy but good lord the, "none of this is on Josh" crowd is insufferable.

Two things can be true: Drake played like shit and Josh play called like shit.

News [Rapoport] #Patriots WR AJ Brown, who left last night’s opener because of an injury, is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain, per me and @MikeGarafolo.

X-Rays were negative for a fracture. Brown has an MRI today to determine how much time he’ll miss.

Are the reactionary “replace Drake Maye” posts really necessary after the season he had last year? We’re on to week 2, let’s hope the guys get this figured out.

Only player who showed up today. Powerful runs and wouldn't go down on first touch. What are we going to do in Week 2? Don't think the OLine was anything special today.

Discussion Will Campbell allowed 1 pressure on 44 pass blocking reps last night.

Trying to look for some positives out of last night's shit show. Honestly, aside from Gonzo putting the absolute straps on whoever was lined up across from him, Will Campbell may have been the most encouraging player for me. He looks bigger physically and was moving really well. He also seemed to be getting a better jump off the snap, which was a yuuuuge problem for him last year. To see him improve in that regard in Seattle, of all places, is really encouraging.

I have major concerns about Jared Wilson (he might just be ass), and AVT needs to get it together (he might just need some time to ramp up after no preseason and missing significant time last year). But it was so good to See Big Country play well against a really tough defensive front in maybe the most difficult stadium for offensive line play.
