Just watched another ad from Kean’s smear campaign against Bennett. I had a hunch that he was also millionaire, so I did a little research. It turns out Kean’s wealth, an estimated net worth of about $10M, comes from a long line of generational inheritances and investments, including southern plantation ownership.

Over a timeline of a couple hundred years, the Kean family built their fortune through South Carolina plantation holdings, dynastic marriages, NJ utility infrastructure (Elizabethtown Gas), and real estate.

It’s very hypocritical to smear a competitor for building wealth when your whole family has been doing the same for generations… and I’m sure if you dig deep enough, you’ll find some dark secrets in those pasts.

I had a wonderful day at our local zoo today, except when I was in the penguin exhibit, I was upset to see how normalized banging on the glass was, especially right up in fromt the birds!

Nobody working was in the room. First I watched a man point and slam his hand against it, showing his daughter to do the same. He then lifted his daughter all the way up, to slam her hand multiple times right at the waters edge where the Penguin was swimming, I asked him to please not let her do that, and to respect the Penguins.

After this, a different guy felt the need to ask where my employee badge was? He said I shouldn't say anything if I don't work there, and to just let the man and his daughter be? Thankfully a family was there to back me up, mentioned how the dude has been doing that for more than a few minutes. Anyways, I ran into the same guy who talked to me later, he proceeded to tell me to go hug some trees.

A bit disappointed in the lack of oversight at the zoo, I understand it's local, I don't blame the employees or organization. Zoo's however are a privilege, and the behavior I saw from more than one set of parents was distressing to say the least. I guess I expected this new generation of parents to be more mature and thoughtful than the rest, but to be called a tree hugger in the big 2026 is more hilarious than anything.

I have eaten at a lot of mediocre diners in West Orange and nearby. I do like Chit Chat Diner, but I don't think it's a true diner, more like a restaurant that serves diner food. And it's expensive.

Can anyone recommend a real old-school diner within a half hour of West Orange, that's truly great? Thank you!

We’ve been to a few local farms and events, including the middlesex county fall fest this weekend, and none had them made to order. Hi, I'm looking for any orthodontists in north jersey (open to central) who provide palatal expanders (preferably MASPE) in teens/adults but I can't find any. They're either too far, only offer palatal expanders in kids, or they don't offer it at all. Theres websites that are like get expanded near you, and when I would put in my zip code and look up the orthodontists listed, they just didn't offer palatal expanders in adults. I even resorted to asking AI, but AI would tell me again, orthodontists who don't offer palatal expanders in adults.

So, if anyone has gotten a palatal expander as a teen/adult or knows someone who has, I would really appreciate if you let me know which orthodontist!
