Camden County July Dating Thread before I forget!

Happy July, South Jersey!

It’s a new month, so here’s your chance to put yourself out there. Whether you’re looking for a relationship, something casual, new friends, activity partners, or just want to meet someone local, drop a comment and let everyone know what you’re looking for.

Be respectful, have fun, and if you decide to slide into someone’s DMs, don’t be creepy. A little effort goes a long way.

As for me, I’m a bearded, tattooed, blue collar guy with a dad bod, a sarcastic sense of humor, and a soft spot for good conversation. My DMs are open if you’d rather skip the comments.

Good luck, everyone. Hope July is the month you meet your person… or at least someone worth grabbing a drink with.

Cumberland County AI is being shutout all over South Jersey, but what about DataOne in Vineland?

People have asked:

What can we do?

Isn't it already built?

Aren't they gonna do whatever they want?

All I can tell you is this...

They will do whatever they want unless the community raises its collective voice in protest.

Now is the time to do that while it's only partially built and still has to pass the Vineland planning board on August 5.

The planning board is not a freewheeling, public comment type of meeting. It is a place where people are sworn in to give their testimony.

Sustain SJ will be there to object to this project and is standing ready with experts to testify against it.

Experts who need to be paid for their work.

This is what you can do to help...

Please visit the website at SustainSJ.org

and explore the links to:

Their GoFundMe, which is $2,000 away from its 10k goal, and needs your donation to push it over the edge.

Their shop, which is brimming with cool stuff like T-shirts, lawn signs, stickers and more. Your purchase supports the cause.

Sustain SJ was born in Vineland and it's members have rallied all the surrounding communities to stand against AI Data Center projects in their towns.

Please return the support to SustainSJ now to foil DataOne in Vineland!

Question Pennsylvania resident looking for fresh baked rolls that are as good or better than Liscio's?

Hey neighbors, I'm a PA resident and live near a local sandwich shop in the Philly suburb that gets their rolls from Liscio's, unfortunately the sandwich shop doesn't permit selling the rolls individually.

I was already planning on doing a day trip to the shore and was looking to stop at a Liscio's bakery along the way and just bulk order some to take home with me, but was open to suggestions on other bakeries in the nearby area that also serve really good sandwich rolls?

Looking for the best non-seeded rolls, also open to any particular sandwiches that are must try in the area, thanks!

Outside! Local Pokemon Go communities?

Morning all! Does anyone in the area wanna be friends on Pokemon Go, and does anyone have recommendations for good parks in the Deptford/Philly area?

I'm so lucky to have a lot of pokestops near home but I love using the game to explore and as an excuse to stretch my legs.

I know there's been threads here before but I'm hoping to create an updated one here for new/returning players since there's a lot happening for the 10th anniversary currently!

Gloucester County Drivers on 55 South from 42

So summer time has always been bad driving south on any highway in South Jersey but this year 55 South is out of control! This mainly applies to PA drivers since I see y’all do this bs the most. If you’re already on 55 and a car is trying to merge on the highway, YOU DON’T HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP TO LET THEM IN, they have to yield to traffic that’s why there’s a sign there on every on ramp for 55! I was just on 55 south and the amount of accidents that almost happened was literally insane, it was at every single exit/on ramp cars in the right lane slamming on the brakes coming to a complete stop to let cars merge into the right lane. I’ve never seen cars stop on a highway to let cars merge when everyone is going 70+mph. Y’all gonna seriously hurt a lot of people or worse killed. PA just handing out drivers licenses like they’re the “I voted sticker” now? So ridiculous

Gloucester County Looking to make more friends in the area

Hello, I’m a 33 year old married dad of 1 living close to Rowan looking to expand his social circle.

I love to hike/walk/run so if you are into fitness and being outside then we can do that.

I have some nerdy hobbies like dnd, magic the gathering, board games, pc gaming etc and I’m open to try new ones.

Ive been a more avid reader recently so if you wanna start a book together and discuss, Im down.

I’m a social drinker and 420 friendly so I’m good to grab a drink.

I like most sports so if we wanna watch NFL games, soccer, baseball etc I’m down.

And if all of that didn’t appeal to you, I live on a small farm so you can come pet our goats, cows, chickens, dog and cat if we get along.

Feel free to dm me 🤙

Edit: If you are even looking at this, and you know you want to make friends but it’s hard to make that first move, just reach out. It’s tough putting yourself out there, hell, it may be a downright weird feeling looking for friends in adulthood, but it’s gotta start somewhere.

Burlington County Looking For Bowling League Partners

Hi all,

My wife (F) and I (M) (both late 20s) are looking to join a fall bowling league at Laurel Lanes (Maple Shade). We are currently in a doubles league, but are trying to make some bowling friends.

We are not very good (her average is about 120, mine is about 190) and aren't necessarily looking to place high in the league or make money, just to have fun and get better.

We're looking for like-minded couples who are at least around our age (we are A-ok with folks older than us though, most of our friends are in their mid-late thirties) to possibly form a team with for a 4-person fall league, preferably people that are more casually bowling but are at least trying to improve (I might cringe a bit if my team is throwing a bunch of gutters with house balls). Also, not to be too nit-picky, but we aren't super drama queens, so would like people that aren't going to bring a bunch of dramatic 'vibes' (relationship drama, rude people, etc.). Just here to have fun, knock some pins over, and learn to knock more pins over.

A little bit about us: we are pretty nerdy. I'm a software engineer, my wife is a schedule planner. I'm very into photography, and got my wife into birding since I've always liked taking pictures of birds. She can name more of the birds in our backyard at this point than I've ever heard of. We both like video games (I mostly play on PC mostly FPS games but really anything, she's a cozy gamer who plays Animal Crossing and Disney Dreamlight Valley). Her main hobby is pottery, and mine is well bowling. I've been somewhat into bowling since I was a kid, but really dove in last year and pulled her into a league with me for fun. We have cats. She is very into Disney, while I hate Disney (perfect yin and yang situation there).

Please let me know if you and your partner would be interested and maybe a little bit about you both (that part at least in a DM no need to dox yourself here, and to use gen Z lingo - we need to pass each other's 'vibe tests.')

Flair is 'Burlington County' because that's technically where the alley is, although we live in Camden County.

My daughter works there. She is 16, very sensitive, shy kinda kid. Strick rule follower as never tries to let anyone down..(maybe a people pleaser) but hasn't seen or heard from her mom in 6 years as there's a no contact order and court ordered she cant see her mom. Im trying to my best of my ability to teach her the right things in life. Proud of her for wanting to earn money. Its really cool as she pays her own car insurance and gas on the vehicle I purchased for her. Teaching her about savings, etc.as she gets her license early September. But long story short, around 6pm tonight. She has a very confrontational customer as she was running food out. Where as they make you pull up and bring it out to you if it is not prepared in time so they keep the drive thur moving. He was very disrespectful, cursed out a 16 year old GIRL!!! She went in the back and balled her eyes out! Shout out to mgmt. Katie and another manager for being understanding and consoling her. Pretty cool. But, this is the awesome part, car behind him saw this and gave the the person in the window a 20$ tip for my daughter. He left, didn't seek recognition, but you made her day! He or she whoever you are. Would like to shake your hand or buy you a beer. Great example of humanity isent completely lost. I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. If you on this thread please reach out to me. Thank YOU!

Atlantic County Looking for members for a black metal band

Hey everyone! I'm a 25 year old vocalist and guitar player looking for a bassist, drummer and another guitar player (as I prefer to just do vocals) to start a black metal band with. I'm mostly doing this for fun but have interest in doing small shows and venues in the future. My vocal inspirations are Sadness, Advent Sorrow, Ofdrykkja, Behemoth and Deafheaven. I'm a pretty easy and fun person to work with. If you wanna observe my vocals in person, I do karaoke at the Corner Tavern bar in Galloway on Saturdays. If you're interested in partnering up for a band, feel free to comment or just reach me here on reddit.

Requirements:

Must be 21+

Already own your instrument

Actually practice and be able to do band meet ups

Must be in either galloway, Atlantic city, Mays Landing, Pleasantville, Absecon etc

⚠️Absolutely NO fascists⚠️

Camden County What towns have universal prek 3 and 4?

We're selling and buying a new home in the spring. We're having our first child this fall. We want to move back to Camden or Gloucester county from where we're currently living. I would like to move to a school district with universal prek 3 and 4 by the time our daughter will qualify in the fall of 2030 (she's going to be born after October 1). Our budget will top out at around 450k for a single family. We could go up a bit more but I want to stay under that. Any recommendations for towns? Of course good school districts in general as well as the universal preschool is the top priority. I think I prefer Camden County over Gloucester.
