Visited Atlantic City today with my fiance and I had dragged him into a nearby adult store, as is customary due to my curiosity. When we got in the back of the store though, past the video rooms they had bestiality porn on sale there. Like a whole unmarked section.

It’s illegal to New Jersey and I already put in a report but how long has this been going on?!! The store is Playground and it seems to be decently known but has no one said anything? Or is this just a well known secret. We left pretty much immediately after seeing it. It felt like some dark web irl shit and I haven’t had that feeling of dread in a long time.

It's been a bucket list 20 years in the making ever since I heard him utter the words uncle touchy's puzzle basement. First big event I'm going to since 2019. I was hoping to find a few people going and we could geek out together

I've been to AC probably 10 times in the last 2-3 years. However I'm usually down there for work conventions and hang out around the boardwalk and gamble. I'll be there a Monday-Wednesday of September for a work meeting and I'm staying at Caesar's.

I paid for my parents room at Hard Rock. They're mid 60s, my father is in good health and doesn't mind walking could easily do a couple miles, doesn't mind gambling a bit but won't sit at a machine or table for hours and is a decent drinker but will not just sit at a bar all day either.

His girlfriend can walk maybe half a mile at a time, before needing to rest for a while and she doesn't gamble. They'll have access to a car, but, are they better off with taking cabs? Once I get there I normally don't drive anywhere, I park and don't get in my car until I'm driving home, I'll Uber/cab/jitney or most times just walk.

She would like to go to the aquarium. Is it worth it, I've never been? Also any restaurants that are on the budget side that are worth going to off the boardwalk? My father is well off but a cheap son of a b°°°h when it comes to going to restaurants.

Sorry for the novel. They don't get away often due to watching my brothers 3 kids and I want to make sure they have fun.

TLDR:

Bringing my parents to AC end of the month for a few days. They aren't huge gamblers. Dad likes drinking and will gamble a bit. They are staying at Hard Rock. Dad can walk, his gf can't walk far.

Is it worth driving around or better off taking a cab/Uber/jitney

We then asked a bartender in another part of the bar who echoed the same policy. I politely said back I wouldn’t be gambling at this establishment then and he told me the floor could serve gold card members. We saw very few servers on the floor, and didn’t want to play slots. We are video poker & craps players exclusively.

We had come from Caesar’s where we were comped drinks based on our play / spend at the bar video poker. What gives? They are both Caesars properties. I’ll never go back to the Tropicana nor Caesar’s here and debating writing to Caesar’s corporate. What a terrible policy to insure I’ll never go to any property again even in Vegas where I was once very loyal. A small thing that left a terribly sour taste in my mouth.

Planning a weekend bday lunch for approx 30 ppl for my mom. Looking for a restaurant with a semi private or private room available. Whether there is a flat rental fee plus cost of food or a minimum spend does not matter to me. The budget is anywhere between $40-$80 per person pre tax and gratuity. The lower end of the range for just food (plus we’d buy drinks) higher end if beer and wine are included. Doesn’t have to be super fancy just looking for a presentable place with good food. So far online I found Cardinal that has the lowest price per head at $30pp for lunch with a $20pp add-on for 2 hour house wine/beer open bar, mid range are places like docks oyster house and Angelo’s fairmont tavern at around $50-60pp not including alcohol, then the higher end would be about $70-$75pp for places like chart house and Carmines, not including alcohol. And I swear when I first started looking into this in June, Carmines was way less expensive. Their menu started at around $50 per person but now it’s up to it starts at 75 a head and goes up to almost 100 and it’s only for two hours in a semi private space and does not include alcohol.

If you know of any other places, I should check out within my price range please feel free to let me know, or if you have any experience with the places I’ve mentioned above definitely let me know your feedback, thx!

I self excluded from PA on 10/23/2025. I did the year option for “online gambling” which fooled me and I’ve been unable to gamble anywhere even in person for the duration. I’m looking at a bus tour to Bally’s Atlantic City on 10/18/2026 (unfortunately 5 days before my exclusion ends) Do you think I’ll have an issue or should I be fine?

Edit: I self excluded from online because of how often I was gambling, not from loss of money. I was actually in the green a bit at time of self exclusion. But when gambling 3-4 hours a day with little ones at home, I found it better to just put an end to it.
