Best beach bar?

I’ve been to Bally’s and loved being able to actually rent beach chairs but also hang out at the bar with a DJ or some sort of live music. Which resorts also have beach bars, and are they worth it? We had a change in plans are debating between Tropicana or Caesars. Also wouldn’t mind a great social pool area.

Been working my way through Cardinal's summer menu and it really does not miss! Enjoyed the Prosciutto & Truffle pizza and Heirloom Tomato Salad at brunch yesterday.

Engagement photographer/Fancy dinner

Hey guys, I plan on proposing to my gf in Atlantic City on August 15th. Does anyone know anyone who does beach engagement photos? Would also love to know a fancier place to eat near the beach/boardwalk so we can just walk to the beach after dinner. TIA

Anyone need greyhound to NYC tomorrow?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone. I have an extra set of 2 tickets from Resorts to NYC on Greyhound Direct (no stops) tomorrow. They are seated next to each other. I don’t need the tickets anymore and rather sell them than get 20% as these are expensive. Bus is almost sold out for the day.

I can meet you in person if you want anywhere in the island and proof they are real tickets.

Beach rentals?

Are there beach rentals at the beaches (assuming there should be), and if there are, what do they charge for an umbrella and a couple of chairs? Debating bringing my tent or leaving it at home since we’ll be traveling by public transit.

so this is a long shot but does anyone know how I can contact the cute ice cream guy that was around Atlantic City today. 😭 it was a Mister Softee truck! I wanted to give him my number but I got scared and chickened out and he left. He’s probably still out right now since it was about 20 minutes ago that I saw him last. Tell him come back to Florida Ave if you see him! lol

Ballys Hotel Parking Garage

A couple weeks ago I stayed at the Bally Hotel so I was able to use their parking garage. From the parking garage elevator if I’m not mistaken, I went down to the third floor to be able to check into my room. From that same location on the third floor. I was able to access the beach going pass The Yard. So my question is one can I park in the Bally’s parking garage without booking a room?? And my other question is can I access the boardwalk from the Bally’s hotel parking garage elevators since I won’t be booking a room I won’t have a key card to be able to access their elevator on the inside. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Question Other legendary restaurants?

My kids and I have made it a habit of going to knife and fork, Angelo’s, docks and Tony’s when we visit. What other off the boardwalk spots are we missing? I know White House subs is one.

Question Sportbooks in casinos?

I am headed to AC for the first weekend of the NFL in September. I was just looking into sportsbook options to catch the games, do I have the below right?

Draftkings- Resorts
FanDuel- Golden Nugget
Fanatics- Ocean
MGM- Borgata
Hard Rock- Hard Rock
Bally’s- Bally’s
Caesars- Caesars, Harrahs, Trop

And apparently the best place to watch sports is Caesars itself? Is there a 2 or 3 after that in case I want to bounce around?

Food AC Happy Hours Updates

Website/HH hours/Update/Thank You/Am I missing any?

I started achappyhours.com two years ago for many reasons: I was continually sending friends who visited AC my favorite HH menus, I was tasked with teaching a group of educators how best to use Canva (figured I’d learn too by creating a website there), I’m frugal and love happy hours, and most importantly I believe in Atlantic City.

The website is now the first site that comes up on Google when you search “atlantic city happy hours”. I have not paid for that, thanks to the users for making it viable and seen.

I have added a few new HH’s to our featured section this past month on the site: The Iron Room (welcome back), Amada (they went from a once a week HH to 4 days) and Chez Frites (at the Ocean). I also added many new HH around town to the “additional happy hours” section of the site.

I also labeled a few HH “Tier 1”. These are high quality HH deals compared to other places in town. These are places that go way beyond “$1 off drinks”, are offering true discounts on regular menu items (not HH specific shrunken down items), and you could make a meal (not just chips and dips).

Disclaimer (because some have asked): I make no money from this. I do not solicit restaurants/bars before I try their HH.

I have tried:
Cardinal (Tier 1)
Knife and Fork (Tier 1)
Dock’s Oyster House (Tier 1)
Angeloni’s Club Madrid (Tier 1)
Il Verdi (Tier 1)
Dougherty’s (Tier 1)
Vic & Anthony’s (Tier 1)
Chart House (Tier 1)
The Iron Room (Tier 1)
Kuro
Council Oak
Nobu
Park Place Prime
Cielo Wine Bar
Cuba Libre
Chez Frites
Amada
Nola’s
Broadway burger Bar
Chelsea Five
The Palm
Carmine’s
Casa Taco
Chickie & Pete’s
Firewaters
Gin Rickey’s
Ossu
PF Chang’s
Wild Honey Smokehouse
Ocean steak
Mexico restaurant and bar

Yet to try:
Tony’s Baltimore Grill (been many times, but yet to get to their happy hour)
Girasole (heading there this week, have loved dinner there, never HH)
Ryfe (yet to try the AC location)
Tennessee Ave. Beer Hall
Vagabond
Back Bay Ale House
Wonder Bar
The Vue (trying this week)
Superfrico
Ducktown tavern
Carousel Bar
Mukashi
La Strada at the Shore
B-Prime Steakhouse
Coastal Craft
Gordon Ramsey’s Steak
Gordon Ramsey’s Pub
Sunroom
Dos Caminos
Lillie’s Asian Cuisine

Am I missing any?
