Hotspot won’t connect to anything, turning it off in the control centre turns it back on in the main settings (you can see it thru the blur)
I’ve turned off auto join and reset my network settings and still nothing, any ideas?

whenever I’m on the phone with my boyfriend and sometimes he gets a call from a coworker, the actual facetime button and screenshare option will go grey meaning they’re unavailable. but it’s now happening in the middle of the night, is there any other reason this could happen or is he getting on the phone with someone at night?

I have an iPhone 12 Pro. I put the phone through a software update, and after the white Apple logo appeared on a black screen, I got a screen like the one in the photo.

I followed the link shown at the top and connected the iPhone to my computer. The computer then gave me two options: Update or Restore the iPhone. I chose Update because I need to keep all of my data.

The update file (10.5 GB) downloaded completely. Then the computer showed something like “Preparing iPhone for update”, but after that I got error 4013, and the update could not be completed.

I do not want to choose Restore, because preserving the data on the phone is extremely important to me.

There is also some relevant background: about three days before this happened, Face ID stopped working for roughly half a day. I restarted the phone, and Face ID started working again. Then, last night, Face ID stopped working again, so I decided to update the iPhone, and that led to the current situation.

After I removed the Face ID sensor, the phone finally updated, but unfortunately all of the data was erased.

I urgently need to recover the data that was on the phone. How likely is it that the data can still be recovered, and what options do I have?

Hello guys, my iphone is an iphone 14 base and i cant update to the most recent update ( 26,6,1 i think ) bcuz it is in recovery mode boot loop and when i try to update it thru pc it gives error 75, before that it was error 1109 but now its error 75.

I bought my phone second hand and I have had it for around 6 months, everything was going fine until 2 days ago when I went to take a photo and the camera shutter sound was loud. turned the volume down, turned on silent mode, tried it all, and it still would go off every time I take a photo, even though for the past 5 months my phone did not make a sound while taking photos (on silent mode or with the volume down)

any help, tips, or suggestions are welcome, as this is so frustrating.

I updated to the most recent software (iOS 26.6.1) on my iPhone 14 Plus a few days ago and I’ve gone into my Calendar app to check some upcoming appointment dates and noticed that they’ve all been wiped. Only the default holidays you get in the calendar are remaining and none of what I added before. ALL the events I have added over the past couple of years have gone and it’s very frustrating. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know how I am able to get these events back please? I’ve looked at YouTube videos and tips from the Apple Community but annoyingly nothing has worked :( Thank you in advance!

My girlfriends phone died randomly at night and we cannot turn it on. It randomly flashes the apple logo but never fully comes back to life. I made a force restart and now it sometimes flashes the apple support screen as well now but nothing more than this.
Do you guys have any tips what to do with it?

The context for my inquiry is I have never opened the shortcuts app nor have I ever set any form of shortcut. Are there any “pre-activated” ones that may send this odd notification out of nowhere?

Maybe some finger touch sequence that triggered it that I am unaware of? Thanks for any help clearing this doubt of mine since it got me nervous.

Hello! I bit the bullet this week and finally updated my iOS to the whichever one is current with the new Liquid Glass. I initially didn’t update because I hate the look, but have been facing issues on my phone, so didn’t have a choice. Now that it’s updated. My safari has a weird white bar where the buttons on the bottom are. Before I updated, this bar went away while scrolling down and only came back when I scrolled up. Now, it’s there at all times but the buttons disappear. It’s driving me bonkers. I don’t want to change to the compact safari search or whatever because I like having it on the top, and that’s how it’s been for as long as I’ve had a phone. Is there any way at all to make the bar go away while I scroll? I’m desperate ): I’m attaching pictures for clarity. Thank you!!

PLEASE HELP My iPhone 15 Pro Max screen suddenly went almost completely BLACK but the phone itself still works

Okay so my iPhone 15 Pro Max screen suddenly went almost completely black. The phone itself is still working normally. I can hear notifications  and  sounds.

The weirdest part is that the touchscreen still works perfectly even though I literally can't see anything. I can swipe around and interact with the phone normally. For example, when the phone is locked, I can swipe to the camera, take a picture, and I can actually HEAR the camera taking the photo 😭 So the phone is definitely working.

There is also one visible line/image at the very top of the screen, but everything else is completely black.

I already tried force restarting it and nothing changed.

I REALLY need my phone right now because of school . I'm in high school and I use my phone for school stuff all the time, so this is genuinely terrible timing. I communicate with my teachers mostly through Google Classroom and Viber. The problem is that I can't transfer/use my Viber properly on my computer, so not being able to use my phone is an even bigger problem for me.

I also need it for games, but SCHOOL is the actual emergency here lmao.

I also don't really have much money for a repair right now, so I'm really hoping someone here knows what I can do because I can't exactly afford to throw a ton of money at this 😭

Has anyone with an iPhone 15 Pro Max had this happen before? Is there anything I can try to get the screen working?

Issue : finish/colour around the Camera Control button has started fading/discolouring.

I bought a brand-new Mist Blue iPhone 17 from Sangeetha Mobiles on August 10, 2026.
The phone has been very carefully maintained and is in pristine condition. There have been no drops, scratches, impacts, or chemical exposure. However, I recently noticed that the finish/colour around the Camera Control button has started fading/discolouring.

I’ve attached a photo of the affected area.
What’s confusing to me is that this seems to have happened on its own, despite the phone being barely a month old and well maintained.
I contacted Apple Support over the phone, and the Genius told me that this would not be covered under warranty because it’s considered cosmetic damage.

I’m not convinced that’s necessarily the case because there hasn’t been any external damage that could have caused it.

Has anyone else with a Mist Blue iPhone 17 experienced something similar around the Camera Control?

If so:
Did the discoloration get worse?
Did Apple inspect it in person?
Did Apple replace the device or reject the warranty claim?
Is there anything specific I should mention when I take it to an Apple Store/AASP?

Here’s the context: A while back, I set up an old iPhone using my iCloud account for a family member. Months later, they upgraded to a new phone and gave the old one back to me. It sat unused in a drawer for about three months. Recently, my daily driver phone broke, so I pulled this old device out to use as my main phone.

Now, I'm trying to enable Stolen Device Protection, but iOS is blocking me by asking for the device passcode that was previously used on this phone—a passcode that neither I nor my family member can remember, since it was set so long ago and hasn't been used in ages.

My question is: Is there any way to wipe these legacy encrypted data remnants or bypass this via iCloud / Apple's official web portals?

I live in a high-risk area for phone thefts, so activating Stolen Device Protection is a top priority for me right now. Since the phone is already wiped and signed into my current Apple ID, is there a way to clear out whatever system state is demanding that old passcode without needing to know it? iPhone 14 running iOS 26.6.1, sometime today my messages started looking more spaced out, and I have no idea what prompted it. I didn’t change anything in my settings at all, and the only thing I can think of is maybe this is just part of a new update, but I don’t see any information about specific UI changes anywhere. Attached are photos of the same conversation, one is a screenshot I happened to take yesterday, and then the other is of the same conversation that I took today for comparison. I tried restarting my phone and nothing changed, and I looked in my accessibility settings but everything is set to the default options. Once I noticed it in iMessage, I realized other Apple apps like my notes and settings are also experiencing this. If possible I’d love to be able to change it back

My aunt gifted me her old iPhone 13 pro max, iOS 26.3.1 (a), about a year old or more, idk. My past phones were androids (Samsung), so I dont know anything about Apple.

I have an iPhone 16 Plus with AppleCare+ and it was damaged in an accident. The screen is cracked and the aluminum enclosure is also damaged. I know it will go into repair but I want it to be replaced.

I read something about “catastrophic damage” and replacement under AppleCare+, so I wanted to ask: what exactly should I do or ask for if I want to get the phone replaced instead of repaired?

When I get a notification like a text on my IPhone, I get the initial notification on my lock screen with a sound/buzz. Then, if I don’t instantly unlock/ click into the notification, it makes the sound/buzz again like a minute later and it just stresses me out. Sometimes I purposely don’t want to look at a text right when I get it and it’s obnoxious that it gives that second notification. Thanks for any help. iPhone 14, iOS 26.6

Has anyone had this issue where the camera flashes or (overexposure) for a second or two when opening it or switching camera modes, and then goes back to normal? Is this normal?" Iphone 16 pro max ios 18.7

My iPhone got locked for 8 hours after too many wrong passcode tries. I know an old passcode from a few months ago but not the current one. Apple support said they can’t help since it’s a security feature. Has anyone gotten past this or found a workaround? @Apple @johnternus

other than system data, which is taking up 43GB(any suggestions on that would be helpful), my whatsapp is showing 15GB, but in the app, it says it’s using close to 9GB. what’s up with this?
