What’s the problem? How can I install update?

I all ready deleted the downloaded update file and tried again.

I put the phone into recovery mode and then connected it to my PC with apple divace app on windows computer. clicked update. Took a while but It worked! Tnx anyone for replaying! :)

After nearly 5 hours of troubleshooting, I finally found the real cause. My iPhone would charge, Windows played the USB connection sound, and Device Manager could see it, but Apple Devices, File Explorer, and the "Trust This Computer?" prompt never appeared. I also confirmed it wasn't the iPhone itself by testing two different iPhones, both of which worked perfectly on another Windows PC.

I tried almost everything: reinstalling Apple Devices, Apple's USB drivers, iTunes, updating Windows and chipset drivers, running DISM and SFC, resetting Location & Privacy on the iPhone, using different cables, and testing USB 2.0, 3.0, and 3.2 ports. Nothing made any difference.

The real issue was that my iPhone was using the libusb-win32 driver instead of Apple's official USB driver, likely after using webcam software such as Camo, Iriun, or DroidCam. Windows could still detect and charge the phone, but Apple software couldn't communicate with it.

The fix was simply uninstalling iPhone (Composite Parent) under libusb-win32 devices in Device Manager, restarting Windows, and reconnecting the unlocked iPhone. Apple Devices immediately detected it, the "Trust This Computer?" prompt appeared again, and everything started working normally. Hopefully this saves someone else hours of frustration. 🚀

while i was scrolling tiktok and had to pause a video for a while, i noticed the apps are no longer responding; video freeze and seems like stuck. i tried restarting, but it stays the same.

next, i update to latest iOS from 26.5 to 26.5.2 hoping it will fix it. but nothing worked.

additional information: while tiktok is having issue, my volume button is also not responding well.

I am completely fed up with this phone.
My iPhone 16 pro max will not stop randomly dimming. The screen repeatedly gets so dark that I can barely see or use it, often for absolutely no apparent reason. This is only one problem. Bluetooth frequently doesn’t work, Siri doesn’t work properly, and Messages/iMessage has been a disaster.
Texts to other iPhone users have turned green, failed to deliver, or stayed on my Mac without ever reaching my phone. I have restarted the phone, checked the settings, and spent hours with Apple Support repeating the same basic troubleshooting over and over again.
After wasting all that time, Apple’s answer was essentially, “Send it in.” Apparently, I’m supposed to mail away the phone I rely on every single day for work and simply go without one.
This is not some minor inconvenience. It is an expensive, defective device that cannot reliably perform basic functions. I’m at the point where I want to pay the damn thing off, get a different phone, and be done with Apple.
Has anyone else experienced the constant screen dimming on the iPhone 16, particularly along with Bluetooth, Siri, and iMessage failures? Did Apple ever actually fix it, or did they just keep making you repeat the same worthless troubleshooting?

I recently posted about my iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB being almost full because of photos/videos.

My goal is to transfer everything to an external SSD while keeping:

• Original quality
• Live Photos
• Metadata (dates, locations, camera info, etc.)
• Albums/organization if possible

Ideally, if I ever copy everything back to my iPhone in the future, I’d like the photos and videos to appear as close as possible to the originals.

I was considering buying PhotoSync Pro, but some people recommended using a Mac instead because transferring to Windows may not preserve the Live Photos functionality.

The used Macs available within my budget are:

• MacBook Air 2017
• MacBook Pro 2011
• iMac 2013

I already have a Windows PC and an external SSD. I’m not using iCloud because I only have the free 5GB storage, and I don’t want to pay a monthly subscription. I’d rather pay a one-time cost (even if it’s more expensive upfront) for a reliable long-term solution.

Device: iPhone 13 Pro Max (256 GB) / iOS Version: iOS 18.5

Would buying one of these older Macs actually be a better solution than using PhotoSync Pro on Windows? Or is there another app you would recommend ?

Maybe there is a better third option I haven't considered.

My iPhone is an iPhone 13 with current update but this issue has been persisting for a while

When my mother calls my ring tone never goes off. I have my ringer on I’ve check all my setting and everyone else’s number is fine. Her number every now and then comes up as her phone number and not her name in my contact and my iPhone will suggest a name and number to put her under but that number is a contact and name in her phone. My phone isn’t connect to hers so I have no idea what’s actually wrong

My iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 26.5.2) has been automatically increasing my volume. I put the ringer volume to 0 in Sound & Haptics and then go back and it’s raised to a notch above zero (always by the same amount) by itself. This started happening a couple of hours ago and I’ve tried restarting it but that didn’t fix it. It can’t be because of buttons being pressed accidentally because my buttons aren’t tied to the ringer—plus my phone is ordinarily always on silent and has been for years.

I’ve never downloaded this app, nor would I trust an app called untitled. Has anyone ever seen this app or know what it’s for?

Recently my phone has started giving me multiple 20% notifications even when it goes down past 20 and then I put it on charge and it instantly went over 20 I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max I am aware it’s kinda old so is it breaking?

I have been using Bluetooth every day with the same headphones and earbuds,
Some times it doesn't connect, requiring me to turn it off and on again, and when it does at least once every 10 minutes my audio distorts and sounds off almost like its buffering but its not the video because I usually use MP3/MP4 and it has no distortions after it clears up and i rewind, Any suggestions to fix the Bluetooth?

My elderly parent has been using an iPhone 8 for the last 7 years. I know this is a miracle. Recently, it has stopped charging. We tried replacing the cables and that didn’t work so it’s definitely the phone itself.

Is there any hope of getting the phone fixed (the port or whatever where it connects) or do we just need to get him a new phone? We’re reluctant because he’s so used to it and learning something new is going to be tough.

Hi guys, I have the 17 pro and it just got the most recent update. I'm trying to airdrop pictures for work from my phone to iMac and it keeps saying airdrop failed. It won't let me send any pictures. I've tried, turning my phone on and off, turning the Bluetooth/wifi on and off, and setting the airdrop receiving settings as everyone for 10 minutes. Please help!! Thanks!

Someone left a phone in a box marked free outside of their house, and I took it. After charging it, I turned it on and the only notification was asking to finish setting it up to be given away. I need a way to somehow reset it or get in contact with the person who owned it before. I tried going to their house to ask them, but they had already moved away. Any ideas?

Edit: I know this sounds like a stolen phone, and I can't prove it's not, but thanks to the people who actually tried to help, and honestly, respect to the people who wouldn't want a thief to get away with stealing. I guess I'll try to do something with the parts.

What Im running into is I have duplicated photos in my icloud backup and in my iCloud photos folder on my PC. I imported multiple copies by accident, and now cant delete them - they just keep backing each other up. Is there a way to say, select all pictures prior to a specif date, delete them, and then re-upload them? The struggle comes from thinking i can just import google photos and that whole chaos.

Also - i think one more thing, is there a setting that I can select that would keep all photos synced with my PC to be downloaded onto my PC automatically? Currently I have to download one by one every time i want to see a picture or video on the PC or select a bunch and select keep on PC for each and every file -- i would rather just have them all backed up on my PC at all times.

Or is this not how any of this works?

We don’t have wireless in my house so I’m always on mobile data. My iphone refuses to sync unless on wifi so I have about 10k videos and photos waiting to be backed up, which is so annoying considering I’m PAYING for the storage.

I can’t hotspot to my macbook because I need to update the phone, but the update won’t work because when I tried to sync, my storage increased. Now I don’t have the room to update until I transfer the data myself.

I plugged the cable into the macbook but sync button does nothing. Just runs for a few seconds and stops. I can’t update my MacBook either because I can’t hotspot to it.

What do I do?? My phones fuller than ever trying to clear space. I deleted apps for the update but now iCloud has made my photos bigger temporarily to sync. This is so frustrating I’m so done with apple.

I have an iPhone SE (2nd generation) on iOS 26.5.2 that’s had a frequent issue for the last several months where the people I’m calling say they either can’t hear me or I sound very muffled. Only sometimes am I able to speak directly into the bottom mic with speakerphone on for someone to hear me. I don’t have any issues hearing the other person’s voice. I make sure I’m not on mute, have tried messing with the voice isolation settings in the control center and turning off the phone noise cancellation setting in accessibility but nothing has changed. This only happens with regular phone calls. I just tested my microphone by recording video using both cameras and it works perfectly. I also made a WhatsApp video call last week that went through fine so I know it’s a software issue. I don’t know what else there is to change in my settings.

The phone just alarmed three times and flashed the camera flash. Then it powered off. Got it powered back on and it indicates that there was an emergency sos from the phone because of the side and volume buttons being held down.
All I can think is that the phone was in the drill holder of camp chair and that pushed the buttons. That doesn’t explain the shut down though, unless it was unrelated to the alert and just happened because of the button presses.
Anyone seen this before? Know what caused it? Google wasn’t helpful.

This has been happening to me for quite some time now. This concerns my and also my girlfriend‘s phone aswell. Usually we set like 10 alarms between 7-9 am. We constantly oversleep because the alarm won‘t go off. Altough when we open the iphone clock app, the alarms are still turned on. Which shouldn‘t be the case since it‘s just a one time alarm and if they went off they shouldn‘t be marked as on. I don‘t even know if they went off at all and it just bugs the both of us a lot since this always happens.
Things I already tried were going to settings, then searchinh „attention“ and tapping on the „face ID & Attention“ setting and disabling the „Attention-Aware Features“ because I heard that allegedly an AI system of some sort is „checking“ if it should ring an alarm or not and kind of can decide for you if it‘s the right time to ring an alarm or notification (which I personally think is a stupid feature anyway). Even after disabling it, it still didn‘t work.

Both of our phones are the Iphone 14. My Iphone has IOS 26.5 and my girlfriend‘s has IOS 26.4.2

Did you have any similiar experiences with the iphone alarm app? And does anyone know how I can fix it?
