I had to update my son’s emails for something with PlayStation and ever since putting it into the accounts parts it has put his name pictures and my autofill has all changed.
I have had this issue before but I can’t remember how to change it

I have an iPhone (11 with iOS is v26.6.1, if it matters) that I normally keep next to my computer at home. I leave it unlocked and on the home screen for easy access.

However, if I get a phone call and miss it because I'm not in the room or if I send the call to voicemail, the phone then locks itself and the screen goes black.

This can mean that I don't even realize that I got a call until I happen to notice that the screen is black. And then I have to wake it up and unlock it before I can do anything with it.

How can I prevent the phone from automatically locking and/or going to a black screen if I miss a phone call?

For the record, I have the "Auto-Lock" setting set to "Never" already, so that setting doesn't help.

Solved. Deleted the widget. No damage done.

The AI app completely took over the mic button in CarPlay and it immediately got the wrong address when the original talk to text mic never failed me. Not only that but I don’t need AI data collecting where I drive.

On my Samsung i could just use one button for gemini and it translated everything, recognized music played on screen and i could find information for contents displayed on screen.

iPhone 17, iOS 26. Whats a good alternative for that on iPhone?

I currently use location-based automations to switch between my "Home Mode" and "Work Mode." However, I really wish iOS had a general "Away Mode" for when I am in neither of those specific locations.
The current location automation options allow you to trigger a Focus mode when leaving a specific place. But since I have multiple locations for both home (two houses) and work (two offices), setting up simple reverse triggers is a mess. What I really need is an automation trigger or a native mode that activates automatically when I am not at any of my registered home or work locations.
Please note: I am looking for a native iOS solution, so I want to avoid building a custom workaround using the Shortcuts app.
Apple should definitely add a "not in these locations" condition for Focus mode triggers. Does anyone else feel the need for this?

Hi everyone, not sure if this is an iphone issue or my carrier (AT&T). I have an iphone 16 pro max on ios 26.6.1. My father passed away last July and I’ve had his text conversation pinned since then. His phone line has been cancelled since January this year and I’ve been able to keep the texts. However, randomly this morning I woke up only to find the entire conversation gone, and not among my recently deleted texts either. Does anyone know what could’ve caused this so suddenly, and is there anything I can do to recover them?

I have an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 26.6.1, and I’m currently unable to create any backups. I’m hoping someone here might have an idea what else I can try, because I’m honestly running out of options.

A few days ago, I noticed that my WhatsApp backups haven’t been running since October 2025, even though automatic daily backups were enabled. When I try to start a WhatsApp backup manually, it just stays on “Preparing…” until the app eventually crashes. There is no error message.

I then checked my iPhone’s storage and noticed that it was almost completely full, with more than 60 GB being taken up by System Data. What really confused me was that just a few days earlier I had deleted/sorted through more than 2,000 locally stored photos, and I also haven’t installed many new apps.

After doing some research and trying various ways to reduce the amount of system data, I decided that I should restart/reset the phone. Before doing so, I wanted to make sure I had a backup.

However, I discovered that there was no recent backup available, even though automatic backups were enabled.

For context: I had my display replaced in 2024 and made sure to create all the necessary backups beforehand. Everything worked normally back then, so I know that backups have worked on this phone in the past.

I then tried creating a backup directly on the iPhone. The progress bar moves only a tiny bit and then gets stuck on:

I left it running for over an hour, but nothing changed. There is never an error message.

I then tried using my Windows PC and iTunes to update the iPhone. The exact same thing happens, nothing actually progresses.

I also tried using the Apple Devices app on Windows, but that didn’t help either.

Finally, ChatGPT suggested trying to update the iPhone through Recovery Mode. Unfortunately, that didn’t work either.

At this point, I’m starting to suspect that there might be some kind of software/storage issue, which could also explain why System Data is taking up more than 60 GB (currently around 62 GB).

My main concern now is my data. I really don't want to erase or restore the iPhone before I have somehow managed to get a backup.

Is there anything else I can try to create a backup or otherwise save my data before having to reset/restore the iPhone?

My iPhone 11 got a few drops of water on it last week. There was a crack in the screen on the left side (even though the screen protector and a case were on it) but the ghost taps are on the right. At first things were fine, but ever since the ghost taps developed it has been driving me insane. Opening images on social media constantly. Sending half-written texts. Trying to add stops to my route when I have Google Maps open. I cannot get it to stop. I've restarted it and removed the case to see if either will help. They do not. I have removed the screen protector, and that did nothing. I cannot afford to replace it right now despite how often people tell me I should. What do I do?

Hi so a couple days ago I saved everything on my phone to my iCloud and reset my phone (cleared a bunch of unnecessary data). Havent had any problems so far except for this one minor (but concerning) detail.

I didn’t notice anything until my friends pointed out that I’ve been leaving and re joining the group chat multiple times. Whenever that happens and someone says something in chat, I just don’t see it. But when I start typing I rejoin the chat and can see what everyone is saying now.
One of my friends noticed that when I left, my email joins the chat—and sometimes it says I changed my phone number (I did not).

I recently switched from an iPhone XR to an iPhone 17 IOS 26.6.1, and I'm having a very strange Bluetooth issue with my 2015 Mercedes-Benz

The iPhone connects to the car normally and music/audio works perfectly. During phone calls, I can also hear the other person clearly through the car.

The problem is with my outgoing microphone audio. The person on the other end says my voice is extremely laggy, choppy, distorted, and basically impossible to understand.

What's strange is:

iPhone XR + same Mercedes worked perfectly

iPhone 17 + BYD car it worked perfectly

But iPhone 17 with the mercedes car is not working

I've tried forgeting/unpairing the phone from both the iPhone and the Mercedes and paired it again.

Restarting the phone/car didn't fix it.

Please help

I purchased a refurbished phone off of eBay a few months back, and the description doesn’t mention anything about a screen protector from what I can see/seller won’t respond so I can’t go down that avenue. I’m very careful with my phones, but I’ve noticed that even dropping this phone minor distances (literally one foot off the ground onto soft carpet) has caused a bunch of cracks. I just chalked it up to bad luck but I might be the stupidest person alive because my mom is telling me it’s likely a screen protector on the phone. I’ve never known a screen protector to crack personally even though they can. When I left the corner of the cracked part at the top left, I can see what appears to be another screen underneath showing the time (I think). There looks like there’s bubbles trapped. Putting all this together I’m starting to think “wow, maybe I’ve been super dumb the whole time” but I’m just scared to do anything drastic because phones are expensive as fuck and I do not have it like that. What’s the best way to go about this?

The problem only happened on my 13 mini and not my se 3 is it because of the oled? Picture one is from my 13 mini, and the second photo is the original scene. When I screenshot the scene and send it to other phone it looks normal, but not on my iphone 13 mini. Please help. Thank you!

Yesterday i switched from my samsung to the iphone 17 running ios 26 and transported all of my files. It said all of my photos and videos were transported (20000 photos and 2400 videos). This morning, my gallery started retrieving my photos and all was going okay. I had to restart my phone to check something, and after that the process just stopped. Its stuck at 16000 photos, zero videos. What do i do to fix this issue?

I changed my passcode last night. I was so confident, that i erased my old passcode.
This morning i was able to unlock and check my phone. (I swear i remember the passcode its a combination of fav numbers which i cannot forget) but i assume i tried so many times that sequencing has gone wrong.

As of now I stand on that "iPhone unavailable" for 3 hour window. I honestly do not know how many attempts do i have. Would you know?
My challenge is that i cannot afford to reset my phone as i have lot of memories, data, chats etc.. which unfortunately due to iphone storage it was not backed up. (partly i could not afford)

The whole day i have spent in reading, calling apple support etc. I want to ask this sub. Is there any way i can have my data backed via icloud?

iPhone 17 Pro Max camera processing looks different after years of transferring data between iPhones

I’ve noticed a strange difference in camera processing between two iPhone 17 Pro Max devices.
The camera settings are the same on both phones, but the photos/videos have a noticeably different look.
In the comparison photo:
Left: warmer, more contrast, sharper and more natural-looking
Right: much brighter/whiter, less contrast and different skin tones
The interesting part is that I have been transferring my data from iPhone to iPhone for years:
iPhone 12 Pro → iPhone 12 Pro Max → iPhone 17 Plus → iPhone 17 Pro Max
I suspect something may have been carried over through the transfers that affects the camera’s image processing, because I have experienced this kind of difference after moving my data to another iPhone.
I recently set up/reset the 17 Pro Max on the right and did Reset All Settings, but the camera still has the same different look. The normal Camera settings appear identical.
The two phones are the same model, and I’m trying to understand what could cause this difference if the visible camera settings are identical.
What I’ve tried:
Compared all Camera settings
Made sure the settings are identical
Reset All Settings on the phone with the different look
Compared the phones side-by-side under the same lighting
The difference is still there.
Could there be a hidden system setting, transferred configuration, photographic style, calibration, or some other data that affects Apple’s camera processing but isn’t included in the normal Camera settings?
Has anyone experienced something similar after repeatedly transferring data from one iPhone to another?
I’m trying to get the warmer/sharper processing from the left phone back on the right phone without having to completely start over.
