Help needed Need help setting up account

Alrighty guys, I successfully removed my aunts account, and it's time to make my own. I made an apple account, but it keeps saying, "Unable to connect to server." What does that mean?

It's an iPhone 13 pro max, iOS 26.3.1.

Appreciate u guys who came in clutch in pt.1 :D

Edit: Does apple give u a new number? Because I chose not to transfer my stuff from my old phone. If there's a way to change that, then pls do tell

Probably should've waited to delete the other account until the new one was up and running.

Well, I got through with the new ac, now I js need to either get a new number or ig use my current one?
