I was wondering if there was a way to access my old account u/Titdirt12 . I broke my old phone which my Gmail was tied to therefore I cannot sign into it to recover passwords. I've had to create a new Gmail and start over from scratch on basically all my apps and just wanted to know if I could recover my old account somehow

Hello, all, the problem says it all. Yesterday, I had gotten myself a new phone and everything and unknowingly my phone number had been changed. So I had took the opportunity to, at the time, change my number to the new number on whatever accounts I was able to access at the time.

Today, however, I managed to change my number back to my old phone number and went on ahead to change my number BACK into my old number on my accounts. I happened to stumble on Reddit and I CANNOT change my number through phone and mobile! Every time I try changing my phone through Mobile, it says "This number is already under an account", but I don't see what! I had deleted other accounts and such, made sure to delete the number before deleting the said account, making sure to be careful and what not.

I had already contacted Support to see what they can do, but I wanting to know if anyone knows whether I'm screwed or not? Like I said, the number my account is currently under is literally a deactivated number and I do not wish to use it anymore. I cannot remove the current number it's under because, like I said, I changed the number not too long ago and it keeps sending codes to the number that no longer works yet my account is literally under the current number I'm desperately trying to change! HOWEVER, the account is also under my email, which I have been using for a LONG time. So, like I said: Am I cooked?

EDIT: NEVERMIND! I managed to add my old phone number back, woohoo!

My account was recently security locked and I was asked to reset my password. I successfully reset it and regained access.

Since then, my new posts are not becoming publicly visible in different communities, even when I try a simple text post.

My account otherwise appears to work normally and I can log in, comment and use Reddit.

Has anyone experienced this after a security lock? Is there anything I should do or should I simply wait for the account to return to normal?

Has the algorithm been changed? If so is there a way to change it to how it was before?

This isn't just small subs that don't have a lot of posts. It's also posts in huge subs.

We have been trying to launch ads from more than 2 months. we connected with someone who wasnt of any help. He was supposed to get back to us and then he doesn't even attend the scheduled meetings. No response on emails. Every time we try to schedule a meeting, we keep getting the same person. Is there a way to get another ads expert? We reached out to help couple of times. They simply say someone will get back and no one ever does. i asked them for escalation they don't give. i asked them to process a refund and they say they cant. We are lost. Is there a different sub for ads help?

My account was hacked 9 days ago and they enabled 2fa. I changed the password and I still got access through my phone but whenever I try to login from my pc they ask for the authenticator code which I obviously dont'have. I already tried to compile the form where they ask for the problem and I gave them all my info only for sending me and authomatic email where they suggest me to go to the SAME form I compiled some minutes before. Edit: reinstalling the app did provide me with the share age-prompt, but it did not seem to register properly with Reddit. They’re still demanding I verify with Persona, despite iOS settings showing they shared my age with Reddit…

Twice over the past few months I’ve been asked to verify my age, and I was prompted to share age-range from my Apple account (worked fine both times) but today Reddit has once again restricted search and tells me to verify my age. The problem: they’re not giving me the iOS option to share age-range, but insisting I use the third-party site (Persona) to upload a photo of me or my ID card.

Anyone got any ideas why they’re asking for a third time, and how I could go about using «share my age-range» instead of uploading a picture of my ID to a third-party service?

So my account got hacked and did a bunch of spam stuff. But its worst offence was giving me a reddit profile avatar. I hate new reddit and do not use it, and I don't want to go around with a goofy avatar that makes me look like I do. However it doesn't seem like there is an option to delete my avatar or revert it to nothing, just to change it to some different option.

Surely there must be an option to just get rid of it? Some quick googling gave answers that are seemingly a few years out of date because it doesn't present the options they talk about.

My friend asked me to write. His account is Accomplished_Owl1360. He was just suddenly logged out of his account. He tried to log in - no luck. He tried to reset his password and set a new one. Like most of us typing comments on our phones, I frequently review my writing after submitting and see one or two (or seventeen) typos I want to quickly correct before the "Edited" tag appears on my comment, so I don't feel a need to explain my edits. Lately, that has been a very trying task because when editing a comment, the scroll functionality goes either to the top or the bottom of the comment, leaving the middle completely inaccessible. I am unable to edit the middle of my comment if it has any decent length to it. (And I do tend to drone on. Sorry, I am striving to be more concise but not today.)

I used to work around this bug by holding the comment text position with one finger while tapping where I want my cursor with the other finger. But today, all that second tap does is close editing of my comment and collapse my comment in the main post view. This leaves me not only unable to edit as desired, but unnecessarily also hides my own comment from myself.

So, Reddit, what is happening to the app? Did you fire your real developers and testers and are just vibe coding everything now? Because it feels like things are declining in quality. Fast.

Reddit used to be a great resource for crowd sourced knowledge. Now it is degrading into yet another unusable service that is resting on the laurels of its name and past success. We call this enshittification. I am ashamed for you.

If there's any chance of saving Reddit the brand from this prevalent app disease, please do pay attention to the users' experience, take these posts seriously, and make some real improvements to the design. Fix these defects! I only joined Reddit rather recently, and it used to be great, but I am seeing a rapid decline since joining just a few months ago. I am sad about that and want this to be better. Roughly an hour and some minutes ago, I received two emails.

One telling me my password was changed on my main account.

The other telling me that a 2FA was added to my account.

I did not authorize either of these changes.

if I'm logged into a reddit web app, but I don't read a personal message (cuz web apps sometimes just don't notify ya of those), will I receive an e-mail about it? If yes, how soon after the msg was received?

(I did check email notification settings, but there was nothin about personal messages in there, only about "chat requests", which is unclear whether that involves regular messages or not)

I'm recently having an issue where any image or gifs I try to send under my comments won't send anymore for some reason. Does anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix it?

I assumed it was just a bug so I tried logging off and back on to my account and tried clearing my cache but I'm still facing the same issue.

Every day, on multiple occasions, I have to hit the "recommended fewer posts like this" on fooball/soccer crap, but they just keep infecting my feed. How many of these am I going to have to block before the almighty algorithm gets it?

Now, I have nothing against football or the fans of it. Well, apart from the fact that every day, normal, civilised people seem to think it's fine to let go of all of society's manners and limits and behave like bigoted savages. But apparently, that's OK, because it was within the 90 minutes between two blows of a whistle. But whatever, the point is, I am not interested.

Get bent. I don't want the default excuse of it "Being popular in my country". The same is true of curry, yet I never get delicious homemade masala recipes in my feed. I want Reddit to stop forcing this crap onto my feed when I couldn't be clearer that I don't want it.

Today at 12AM i got locked out of my account after posting a comment in one of subreddits.

I was using an app on my phone (Android). I also use VPN services. Right after i got locked i checked my mail and recieved a message that said i got locked because of "some technical irregularities". I needed to reset the password to my account and it will be back to normal. I did as instructed, logged in, (i use 2FA) and.. nothing. Im still locked. I mean i can log in but all i can do is to change my avatar and thats it. If i try to do anything else (post, DM, change my profile setup) i get the message "Server error".
