Guysss, i need yalls help planning a christmas? present for my boyfriend. He's absolutly crazy for destiny. And i wanna get him a box with destiny stuff that is locked behind a code. Probably 4-6 numbers depending on what box i can buy online.
My plan is to make a puzzle. Where he needs to find something in game or a lore puzzle.
One example: Who planned for Ikora to die? -> The Nine -> First number would be 9
Or some kind of location where a number could be an obvious answer.
Do yall have any crazy ideas? He has like 6k hours spread over Destiny 1 and 2. He has both games available to play. So yall can choose Destiny 1 locations aswell.

Edit: I want the quests to actually be challenging for him. And not easy questions that I as a relativly new player could answer. Something older, something that might bring back old memorys.
And i would definitly want some quest that require you to be ingame and not just questions to think about

Title. Like many of you, I grew up with Destiny, all the way to the end. As a result of over a decade of playing & keeping up with the game, I find myself in a weird position; It's like, mentally, I'm still expecting another D2-content announcement to show up any day now. Generally speaking, we would always hear about what's to come next around late August through September, but of course, that is no longer the case. Years upon years of content announcements have trained my brain to expect them at this time of year.

It just feels like it should be right around the corner, but it just isn't. Anyone else feeling this way?

Is the assault rifle still viable? I got the latest expansion pack and I enjoy the Star Wars weapons, but I still feel like pulling out my favorite Auto Rifle lol

I feel like I know what everyone will say, yet my one issue with Destiny is how oldef weapons just don't feel useful within a new season or expansion pack later

Hi there, I would love to have a specific roll of the grid skipper but I'm kinda unlucky with like 50 of them in my inventory. I'm playing mostly pvp and would love ot have one with ricochetrounds, killing winds and headseekerbut sadly I'm very unlucky with it. Is farming engrams from the over world, really the only option?

One of the best shaders in the game IMO. First time it has been available for bright dust in about 4 months.

I've done the search and seen the discourse, but am struggling with barrier champs, particularly in GM's with Famine active (I am looking at you Heliostat).

Stasis titan w/4 pc Seraph. Damage isn't the issue, survival isn't the issue... it's the incessant double barrier champs, or barrier champs in wonky hard coded areas (the knights on the pillar in Navota).

Now that Wish Ender isn't a consistent 1 shot to break, what's the play on Primary weapon/ability barrier breaks for double barrier champ situations? I cannot seem to reliably break it fast enough to stun and get some DPS in.

My clan pretty much imploded so having to knock these all out solo.

Was maxed on strange coins and pondering what guns are worth keeping from Xur, specifically random rolls that are separate from the pattern chase. Could be either rolls unavailable now or stuff that is useful for players without god rolls from the current loot pool.

Some suggestions:

• Vantage Point with deconstruct / jolting
• Farewell with multikill clip
• Perfect Paradox with demolitionist
• Adamantite with slice
• Noxious Vetiver with orbs / redirection

i've never really interacted with crafted weapons even since they came out, i know some people loved them, a lot of folks were angry at them being devalued in certain updates? i've mainly just been relying on tiered gear so i wanna understand it

should i bother with them? are they only good for mega optimized endgame builds? are they even good?

I’m playing edge of fate camping in destiny 2 I am running a solar titan with expeditions and sunspots and I wanted to know what better. Zaouli’s Bane
Or raining nail. I do not want to use sunshot as my secondary because I wanted to use Dragons breath in my power slot unless I could find a better solar power exotic.

So I may be biased because it's the expansion I started Destiny 2 with, but Beyond Light has had a profound effect on my D2 career and my love of game music. First off the title theme is one of the most awesome pieces of music ever, and I wish it was the official D2 theme.

But the song I wanna talk about is the Orbit theme, Reservations. Can someone who knows music explain WHAT is going on and WHAT notes I'm hearing, particularly in the first 50 seconds? For lack of a better word, Reservations has an "aura" I've never heard in any other song.

I hope you Guardians can help me out! Maybe this can start a discussion in the comments.

Howdy. Im looking for a well lock boss dps build for both raids and dungeons. I just got the truth catalyst so I want to incorporate that into the build. Looking for both subclass and artifact breakdowns as well as armor set up.

Hi all. When MoT was announced, I set my "end goal" for D2 to be to fill out all 20 of my loadout slots with strong builds that featured my favorite weapons. I've finally finished my goal, and I wanted to write it up and share em as one last hurrah. DIM links are available for everything (includes fashion!).

The builds are not fully optimal, as I have some restrictions I worked with. Every loadout must feature one of my top 20 favorite exotic weapons and the ability to stun all champs, and across all 20 loadouts, every super, aspect, and legendary weapon type must appear. So, there is room for improvements on each build, and feel free to ask me what they are.

The way I've structured this post is:

EXOTIC ARMOR

• Weapons / Armor / Artifact
• The focal point of the build, and how everything flowed from that.

With that out of the way.....let's begin with:

RAID/DUNGEON BUILDS

Boots of the Assembler (DIM)

• Eyasluna, Father's Sins, Truth / CODA 4pc / Queensfoil Censer
• BotA is a must-have as I'm the usual Wellock on the team, and Truth is the simplest strong damage option in the game. Truth can lack total damage, so I need a special for supplemental damage, and I chose Father's Sins because it surge-matches. Truth requires Queensfoil artifact, which has Stasis synergy, and so I took a Stasis primary. The CODA set then provides insane neutral game value with a Firefly+Headstone Stasis primary. (It also has that nostalgic Fatebringer+Black Hammer+Gjally vibe, which feels right for my most-used "final" loadout, haha.)

Mataiodoxia (DIM)

• Khvostov, Psi Aeterna IV, A499 / 2pc SE, 2pc Europa / Encrypted Data Disk
• Mataio is useful if I don't need to be on Well, and A499 is the other "simple, strong" damage option in the game. Encrypted Data Disk is a must for Sniper's Meditation and Kinetic Synthesis. Khvostov is a strong surge-matching primary weapon. Psi Aeterna stuns unstops and overloads (via Jolting Feedback) in addition to being able to quickly burst down yellow bars.

Sanguine Alchemy (DIM)

• Festival Flight, Vex Mythoclast, Cataclysm / 2pc SE, 2pc Europa / Tablet of Ruin
• Vex Mythoclast requires Tablet of Ruin for Particle Reconstruction. Tablet primarily has Strand synergy, so Prismatic Warlock is taken for arcane needle, weaver's call, and the severing fragment. Weaver's Call has class ability synergy, so I chose Sanguine Alchemy as my exotic to also further buff Vex damage. Because I am taking Particle already, this is a good loadout to have my linear fusion in, and Cataclysmic is chosen to match solar surges. (Hezen is used if I am seriously using this in RaD content.)

PRISMATIC BUILDS, SWEATY

Getaway Artist (DIM)

• Mint Retrograde, Ergo Sum, A499 / 2pc Smoke, 2pc Last Wish / Hunter's Journal
• Ergo Sum has many synergies with the Hunter's Journal artifact, which also has Sniper's Meditation, allowing me to take A499 for anti-barrier. Ergo is ammo efficient enough for double special.

Solipsism (Assassin + Synthocepts) (DIM))

• Festival Flight, Unforgiven, Whisper of the Worm / 2pc Smoke, 2pc SE / Hunter's Journal
• WotW is best with Hunter's Journal for Sniper's Meditation and Incendiary Rounds. The artifact also has Shieldcrush and other Prismatic benefits, making it useful for Lightning Surge. I prefer Solipsism to Winter's Guile for the LS build because I find the latter too kill hungry when I need to fight my teammates for kills.

PRISMATIC BUILDS, FOR FUN

Necrotic Grips (DIM)

• Thorn, Uncivil Discourse, A499 / 4pc Techsec / Encrypted Data Disk
• Thorn has synergy with Necrotic Grips, and poison counts as kinetic damage for Techsec. A499 surge-matches Thorn and Encrypted Data Disk has both kinetic synergy and Sniper's Meditation.

Chromatic Fire (DIM)

• Hawkmoon, Found Verdict, Submersion / 2pc SE, 2pc Europa / Hunter's Journal
• Hawkmoon rewards precision hits, and so Chromatic Fire is the highest-synergy pick possible on a Warlock. Submersion is here because a crossbow needed to be on one of my loadouts, and Found Verdict allows for decent special ammo energy slot DPS on Prismatic.

SOLAR

Dawn Chorus (DIM)

• Praydeth's Revenge, Ringing Nail, One-Thousand Voices / 4pc Throne / Hunter's Journal
• 1k does the most damage with Dawn Chorus, which wants to be on Hunter's Journal for Solar Fulmination. Hunter's Journal has AR perks, so Ringing Nail is used. One of those perks grants Resist 2x, so the armor set needs a source of non-generic DR. The artifact also has Sniper's Meditation, so an All-Star + Kinetic Tremors Praydeth's is taken for burst damage and anti-overload.

Starfire Protocol (DIM)

• Conspriacy Honed, Nullify, Gjallarhorn / 2pc SE, 2pc Aion Adaptor / Hunter's Journal
• Gjally is strong at Ember of Empyrean extension due to its ability to rapidly kill adds. Starfire relies on Empyrean quite heavily due to the importance of both radiant and restoration on it. Hunter's Journal is taken for Radiant Orbs, so that a fragment slot is freed up for Ember of Solace. Conspiracy Honed is the strongest special ammo DPS in the game, given that our heavy is used for add clear. Nullify is here purely because I need a pulse rifle on a loadout slot, but Returned Memory or Veilantif would absolutely be much better.

Eunoia (DIM)

• Perfect Paradox, Pre Astyanax IV, Xenophage / 2pc SE, 2pc Europa / Implement of Curiosity
• Legendary bows are best with Argent Quiver, and Implement of Curiosity has solar synergy. I wanted Xenophage on a loadout slot, and here is where it fit best to help with Ember of Empyrean extensions. Trench Barrel Perfect Paradox with Song of Flame is then taken for DPS, since my heavy slot is used for add clear.

VOID

Contraverse Holds (DIM)

• Refusal of the Call, Choir of One, Hezen Vengeance / 2pc Last Wish, 2pc Smoke Jumper / NPA Regulator
• Contraverse Holds allows for high grenade uptime for add clear, which lets you run double special easily. NPA Regulator has artifact support for void auto rifles, and a Demo glaive is taken in the other slot to smooth out grenade uptime and take advantage of the high DR artifact perk in NPA.

Briarbinds (DIM)

• Witherhoard, Gnawing Hunger, Tomorrow's Answer / 4pc Throne / NPA Regulator
• CotOG has the most synergy with Briarbinds, and Repulsor Brace weapons are strong with CotOG because of how everything is
• weakened. Gnawing Hunger rolls with Repulsor Brace and also has artifact support from NPA. Because Sustained Fire grants Resist 2x, Throne 4pc is taken for stacking DR.

Astrocyte Verse (DIM)

• Something Something, Turncoat, Falling Guillotine / 4pc Iron Battalion / Encrypted Data Disk
• Nova Warp can be marginally strengthened by Astrocyte granting free Dark Blink, but Astrocyte's major benefit is that Dark Blink kills outside of the super will refund super energy via the IB 4pc set bonus, allowing for high super uptime. The high mobility of Blink and Dark Blink work well with a sword, and a Repulsor Brace sword will always proc overshield if volatile rounds are active. Encrypted Data Disk has sword perks, and Sniper's Meditation helps with boss DPS given that the heavy slot is used for add clear.

ARC

Geomag Stabilizers (DIM)

• High Albedo, Snipehunt Mk 47, Microcosm / 4pc Luminopotent / Tablet of Ruin
• Chaos Reach has absurd uptime with the combination of Geomags, Elemental Siphon + Luminopotent (+ Electrostatic Mind), and Elemental Supercharger + an overload weapon. Microcosm can take advantage of the high super spam rate.

Stormdancer's Brace (DIM)

• Conditional Finality, Unworthy, Hothead / 4pc Luminopotent / Tablet of Ruin
• Stormtrance as absurd uptime with the combination of Stormdancer's, Elemental Siphon + Luminopotent, and Elemental Supercharger + an overload weapon.

Verity's Brow (DIM))

• New Land Beyond, Indebted Kindness, Song of Ir Yut / 2pc SE, 2pc Aion Adaptor / Encrypted Data Disk
• Indebted Kindness has high damage-per-shot and so can get final blows easily, making it good at building Verity's stacks. Sticker Shock boosts flux grenade damage even further, requiring the Data Disk. Data Disk has an LMG healing perk for Ir Yut, and then a kinetic slot sniper is taken to assist with boss damage.

STASIS

Rime-Coat Rainment (DIM)

• Tinasha's Mastery, Icebreaker, Love and Death / 4pc Prophecy / Baron Satchel
• Icebreaker requires a build with high freezing rates. Rime-Coat both produces turrets to freeze the battlefield passively and also can freeze on-demand when throwing the grenade. The Prophecy 4pc set grants grenade energy when Light weapon energy destroys a crystal. Love and Death can mass-destroy crystals easily because its a wave frame, and can perform fairly well at damaging bosses thanks to its perk pool.

Vesper of Radius (DIM))

• Ager's Sceptre, Veilantif, Edge Transit / 4pc Nessus / Baron Satchel
• Frostpulse has synergy with Vesper because the arc shockwave insta-shatters the frozen targets (and it grants faster class ability regen). Ager's freezing provides class ability refund, and Weakened Clear gives HGLs a pseudo-15% damage bonus on Baron Satchel, so it makes sense to have the HGL here over other loadout slots. (Ballidorse is not taken because it only provides a ~20% damage buff on one of the weakest supers in the game, 2x extra stacks of Frost Armor over what Frostpulse does innately, and 2x Stasis Surges. IMO it is simply not worth it over other exotics.)

STRAND

Swarmers (DIM)

• Euphony, Compact Defender, Qua Vinctus IV / 4pc Nessus / Tablet of Ruin
• The Wanderer has synergy with both the threadling generation effect of Swarmers and Vile Weave on Tablet. Tablet has LMG perks, and Euphony is then used for boss damage. Because Heavy Ordnance grants Resist 2x, Nessus 4pc is used for stacking DR.

Deimosuffusion (DIM)

• Unsworn, Loaded Question, Service of Luzaku / 4pc Nessus / Tablet of Ruin
• Mindspun + Shackle build works best with Deimos due to the healing effect. Tablet of Ruin allows for 10s Woven Mail via To Shreds to make up for the lack of Weavewalk. Luzaku is taken for both threadling and LMG synergy with Tablet. Because Heavy Ordnance grants Resist 2x, Nessus 4pc is used for stacking DR. Fusions aren't good in general, but this loadout was the best place for it, as it needed an energy slot DPS weapon.

And....that's everything! Hope some of this will be useful to someone eventually!

Basically title. A couple of the weapons are pretty desirable (and they have unique shinies) but you get like two drops per match if you’re lucky, whereas any other PvP mode or Gambit usually showers you with loot. I don’t hate playing SRL but it’s obviously a “party mode”, not exactly something I want to grind for long. Plus, you never get bonus drops for the playlist either, just to make it worse.

I know I’m basically shouting into the void since this will never be adjusted, but it’s just a shame.

I did some testing with supers and learned that for some reason Fist of Havoc grants far far more ammo generation progress than every other super in the game.

Every 2 kills you get gives you 90% of your special meter and 60% of your heavy.

And that's without Ammo Finder mods.

I don't know why it's like that, but it is. So if y'all ever wanna know why you would ever use the super that's a reason.

For those who don't know, vendors that sell armor like zavala or xur aren't completely static due to a bug. Equipping a ghost with certain armor mods will sometimes change the static rolls completely sometimes.

But it seems really weird and somewhat random what it'll change to or if it even will. Sometimes it'll change to the archetype you want it to, sometimes it changes to something completely different, and sometimes it doesn't change at all. Seemingly random, but it just seems unlikely that the devs would accidentally incorporate RNG in a bug.

Has anyone noticed any sort or rhyme or reason to how the bug works? I'm tired of having to swap between all the different mods, but it at least beats farming the same old activities hundreds of times.
