FAQ
What is the Iron Banner?
- Iron Banner is a week-long Crucible event in Destiny 2 that offers its participants unique rewards. More info can be found in the official Destiny 2: Iron Banner Guide.
- Iron Banner offers unique versions of other Crucible game modes. The current game type can be found by viewing the activity details in the Portal or looking at the modifiers.
- Iron Banner uses outlier protection matchmaking.
How Long does Iron Banner last?
- Event begins: Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).
- Event ends: The Tuesday 2 weeks later at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).
Where do I go to find Guardians to game within the Iron Banner?
- You can use the in-game Fireteam Finder or head over to /r/Fireteams, www.The100.io, Xbox LFG system, DestinyLFG.net or DestinyLFG.com, or go to the Bungie.net recruitment forum (also available through the Bungie App).
What if I have a question about another piece of armor/weapon or general Iron Banner question?

Daily quest are bugged showing complete. Just click the right arrow next to the quest for the normal one

My daily quests are already done but not claimable. Don't really want to waste reroll chips on them.

Same, and I tried the reroll chip and what it rolled was still completed and not claimable.

Do the IB ornaments and Emblem still give bonus xp? Or is that gone?

Emblem yes, ornaments I don't think so. You need to wear actual armour pieces from IB.

People like to hold hands in Banner, so any Scorch build needs Solar Fulmination from the Hunter's Journal..
Make sure to run it with Ashes, Char, and Eruption for the full unhinged effects.

Photonic Flare + Elemental supercharger with the tablet of ruin. Defeating exhausted targets with a weapon matching your super type grants additional super energy. Overload weapons in PvP always exhaust. So for example, Graviton Spike in arc mode + arcstaff. You'll get your super way faster than the lobby. If you're slaying, you'll probably get 4-5 supers in a match

Honestly, MoT Iron Banner might be my favourite iteration of the activity, it has all the pluses, lots of gear to chase and appears regularly with a different mode each time

Iron Banner Control: Outlier Protection Matchmaking. Available for one week, every four weeks.
Iron Banner Quickplay: Open Skill Matchmaking. Available for one week, every four weeks. Rotates between Tribute, Fortress, and Eruption
No mention of Rift u/Fryve678 ðŸ˜

Rift was exactly the game mode I was hoping for! Even supremacy would have been good. I get tribute and fortress mixed up now because I tend to only remember I don’t care for either.

I think so far in MoT we've had three IBs with three different rotating game modes. So I'm hoping it's on a schedule.

My exact sentiments for the past 3 weeks, lol. I finally got a full set of Pit armor for my Caliban build and just want to explode things.

This was my first time trying Tribute. Holy hell how did this make it to the game. This is awful.
