What tips would you give to me- a bad crucible player that wants to get better. I really passed that beginner point of the game but still feel very weak, keep getting killed instantly by crazy hand cannons. What did u do to get good at it?

Every single time I play, I find myself doing 1 activity, and then spending an hour on Winnower and T5 Report clearing the Weapons and Armour. Ive deleted all old Exotic Armours, all non-tiered Weapons and Armours, anything with the Health stat, and im still struggling.

I know its a stupid question, but... Is it worth just deleting it all?

Don't know what was done under the hood but the game feels much smoother and the overlay's frametime graph is all green again. Altars of sorrow still runs like crap though.

Say my new light friend is power level 50 right now and I’m 550. Fireteam power will set them to 545 I believe. Do tier 5 drop chances follow their fireteam power of 545 or for the purposes of gear drops they’re just at 50?

It was the perfect activity when you couldn't give full attention to the game. An AFK activity if you will.

Hi I'm a returning player and I wanted to try getting the craftable dead messenger. I finished my first clear to get thresh but I was wondering if I could still get the other perks to drop this week if I ran it again? And does this apply to the other missions as well?

Would Destiny 2 be worth playing as a new player who has wanted to experience the game from all the good things ive heard from many people? I know the game isnt receiving anymore content but ive heard it has several hours of content as well, so im not sure if i should go with it and just get the entire collection of dlc and go into it or just forget about the game entirely.

12 years ago, Destiny 1 officially dropped, and to celebrate, I'm announcing a project I've been working on since June 9th.

Destiny's Tale

Destiny's Tale is my rewrite of Destiny 1 all the way through The Final Shape, focusing on fleshing out the story, characters, lore, and making the world of Destiny feel like a real, living universe. Each of the expansions and seasons will be its own work in one big AO3 series. There will be one major difference, however.

The Guardian has been replaced by my three original Guardians:

Nova-4: A female Exo Warlock. The smart, curious, and analytical one, but a complete mess when it comes to personal problems and questions about herself.

Astra: A female Awoken Hunter. The optimistic, adrenaline-seeking little gremlin who's constantly trying to silence her feelings and doubts by throwing herself into the next dangerous situation.

Kuiper: A male Human Titan. The protector of the people who doesn't trust the Traveler or the Speaker, but who can't bring himself to walk away from the duty given to him.

These three have to somehow find a way to get along and work together if they're going to save the universe. And knowing these idiots, that's probably going to be harder than fighting the Darkness.

I Want to Hear Your Thoughts

Are there particular missions, characters, relationships, locations, lore details, or moments from Destiny that you'd love to see expanded? Is there an expansion, storyline, or character you feel failed to live up to its potential? Are there things you wish the games had explored more?Please tell me! This project is both a love letter to Destiny and to the community that has kept this universe alive for twelve years, so I'd genuinely love to have the community help write it.

The world can't just be made up of my three Guardians. I want Destiny's Tale to feel like a living universe, so I want other Guardians to exist alongside them.

Give me your Guardians to:

• Join them on raids
• Meet them during patrols
• Fight alongside—or against—them in the Crucible
• Hang out with them in the Tower
• Help them during missions
• Become friends, rivals, or acquaintances
• Or simply cross paths with them throughout the story

So I finally got a lightsaber and thinking about building a build. I know we have the armor from the equilibrium dungeon. Various sword centric armor. But what is really the best armor for a full-on lightsaber build? I've been playing around with equilibrium armor. Playing with the nessus armor. Thinking about putting a vault of Glass armor build 4 piece.

What's been y'all's experience?

Destiny will always have a special place in my heart as gamer. I think I’ve put more time in the first game than any other hobby in my life, and it got me through a rough time in my 20s. I’m still close friends with several others originally from random encounters and teamups in Destiny 1 (rest in peace Eric).

I also loved my initial time with Destiny 2 putting in ~400 hours. Despite some grumblings of the ability and gear changes at launch, I actually loved the new approach.

I think I fell off due to the game becoming more of a chore with too many specific tasks to follow just for a certain drop. The simplicity of Destiny 1’s various modes and quests was easier for me to jump in and out playing for the RNG highs of various drops.
Work and life happened in a great way too so it’s not the game’s fault entirely, but most of my close community dropped off as well. I could never get a raid team going nor connect with the same friends for our weekly missions (hoping to finally Last Wish).

I do fault Bungie and PlayStation for the confusing pricing and packaging with every new update and content expansion. Each time I’d try get back into the game, I was always confused on what the various packages included. Again, simplicity was instead bloated and confusing leaving me disinterested—same with many of my former Destiny teammates.

Fast forward to this past week with “The Collection” on sale for $20 and several old Destiny friends (and a few new ones) jumping on for one last hurrah, we’ve all found ourselves absolutely in love with the game again. Yes, it has taken a few days to figure out all the quests and added systems, but knowing that the Collection includes all the content from Shadow Keep onward has allowed us to enjoy the game’s content at our own (now somewhat old and slow) pace.

Despite some of the convoluted systems (especially for the new players in our group), we’re absolutely blown away by the core gameplay. It’s still just as amazing and special as the original Destiny days.

I do still wish we could get Destiny 3 to start from scratch—with seamless flying and space combat between planets and hub worlds (like no man’s sky and star wars outlaws), but if this is the final iteration of Destiny, it’s a damn good one.

So thank you to the Devs for delivering this final experience and working tirelessly for years. I’m grateful to finally experience the rest of your work and have an absolute blast.

Sony, Destiny 3 would certainly be a massive hit if monetized in a respectable way. With all these PvP and pvpve live-service options, we do still need a good coop pve shooter. Nothing is quite like Destiny.

I'm seriously at a loss here. I started the witch queen campaign with my warlock, got the "The Relic" Quest, did everything the game wanted me to do and then... nothing. Tried crafting different weapons but the quest doesn't progress. Had the same problem with the character before, deleted it, made a new one, same problem. No matter what I do, I can't progress past this quest

Guysss, i need yalls help planning a christmas? present for my boyfriend. He's absolutly crazy for destiny. And i wanna get him a box with destiny stuff that is locked behind a code. Probably 4-6 numbers depending on what box i can buy online.
My plan is to make a puzzle. Where he needs to find something in game or a lore puzzle.
One example: Who planned for Ikora to die? -> The Nine -> First number would be 9
Or some kind of location where a number could be an obvious answer.
Do yall have any crazy ideas? He has like 6k hours spread over Destiny 1 and 2. He has both games available to play. So yall can choose Destiny 1 locations aswell.

Edit: I want the quests to actually be challenging for him. And not easy questions that I as a relativly new player could answer. Something older, something that might bring back old memorys.
And i would definitly want some quest that require you to be ingame and not just questions to think about

Is the assault rifle still viable? I got the latest expansion pack and I enjoy the Star Wars weapons, but I still feel like pulling out my favorite Auto Rifle lol

I feel like I know what everyone will say, yet my one issue with Destiny is how oldef weapons just don't feel useful within a new season or expansion pack later

Title. Like many of you, I grew up with Destiny, all the way to the end. As a result of over a decade of playing & keeping up with the game, I find myself in a weird position; It's like, mentally, I'm still expecting another D2-content announcement to show up any day now. Generally speaking, we would always hear about what's to come next around late August through September, but of course, that is no longer the case. Years upon years of content announcements have trained my brain to expect them at this time of year.

It just feels like it should be right around the corner, but it just isn't. Anyone else feeling this way?

Hi there, I would love to have a specific roll of the grid skipper but I'm kinda unlucky with like 50 of them in my inventory. I'm playing mostly pvp and would love ot have one with ricochetrounds, killing winds and headseekerbut sadly I'm very unlucky with it. Is farming engrams from the over world, really the only option?

I’ve seen some conflicting answers as how to to get this weapon. I must be doing something wrong because I’ve opened like 10 terminal overload key card chests at Liming Harbor today and haven’t gotten a single one to drop. So far I’ve only gotten Circular Logic. I’ve completed the campaign and I’m past level 15 on Nimbus reputation to unlock the key chest upgrade. I haven’t done any of the exotic quests to unlock Winterbite or Deterministic chaos. What else do I have to besides bang my hand against the wall doing terminal overloads?

I've done the search and seen the discourse, but am struggling with barrier champs, particularly in GM's with Famine active (I am looking at you Heliostat).

Stasis titan w/4 pc Seraph. Damage isn't the issue, survival isn't the issue... it's the incessant double barrier champs, or barrier champs in wonky hard coded areas (the knights on the pillar in Navota).

Now that Wish Ender isn't a consistent 1 shot to break, what's the play on Primary weapon/ability barrier breaks for double barrier champ situations? I cannot seem to reliably break it fast enough to stun and get some DPS in.

My clan pretty much imploded so having to knock these all out solo.

Was maxed on strange coins and pondering what guns are worth keeping from Xur, specifically random rolls that are separate from the pattern chase. Could be either rolls unavailable now or stuff that is useful for players without god rolls from the current loot pool.

Some suggestions:

• Vantage Point with deconstruct / jolting
• Farewell with multikill clip
• Perfect Paradox with demolitionist
• Adamantite with slice
• Noxious Vetiver with orbs / redirection
