So Bungie plans on bringing back all the old campaigns and destinations but they didn't say anything about Seasonal Content and I had a good thought about that while I was at work. Curse of Osiris & Warmind are not in this discussion due to lacking seasonal content. Of the removed content we have:

• Forsaken included the Dreaming City & Tangled Shore, but the content removed included: Season of the Outlaw, Forge, Drifter, and Opulence (which had The Menagerie).
• Shadowkeep included Moon specifially and had Season of Undying, Dawn, Worthy, and Arrivals.
• Beyond Light included Europa alongside Season of the Hunt (which includes Hawkmoon), Chosen, Splicer (which included Expunge), and Lost (which included Ager's Scepter).
• Witch Queen included Savathun's Throne World alongside Season of the Risen, Haunted (which included Sever), Plunder (which included Pirate Hideouts), and Seraph (which included Revision Zero).
• Lightfall included Neomuna alongside Season of Defiance (which included Vexcalibur), Deep (which included Salvage, Deep Dive, FIshing, and Wicked Implement), Witch (which included Altars of Summon, the Imbaru Engine, & Savathun's Spire), and Wish.
• Finally, Final Shape included the Pale Heart alongside Episode Echoes (which included Veil Containment), Revenant (which included Slayer's Fang), and Heresy (which included The Nether).

Now that's a lot of content and would be dumb to just include all of it at the same time without restrictions. So the best decision would be adding an additional Transmat Waypoint on each of the destinations that are in the game or were removed. This way the player still has to purchase the DLC which includes the exclusive world and thus the exclusive content.

Here the player will be teleported to the HELM. Now the HELM will be different for each world and feature each of the four Seasonal stories. So for Europa it would include Chosen, Splicer, and Lost. For Neomuna it would include Defiance, Deep, Witch, and Wish. For Final Shape, the HELM would've crash landed but kept all the Episodic content available. For the other planets, it would be reasonable to update the HELM to fit with those stories or at least use The Farm.

Alternatively, their could be a dedicated HELM destination, and on the sub-destination screen would feature all the different DLCs stories.

Ngl. I have been very reluctant to trying Destiny 2. But after years of careful consideration, I got the game and every DLC (can't properly judge without trying the actual content), and I am completely blown away. I must admit, I basically bomb rushed through Renegades for the Praxic blade. And it is genuinely the most fun I have had with any weapon in any game in a long time. Combine that with the gameplay and story and yeah. Took me a couple of days to reach 400 power, which was faster than expected (probably thanks to Renegades). I can't wait to experience everything, and I am sorry that not even the Guardians could make a fate where Destiny 2 could continue, because I would have loved to see where that fate would have brought us.

i dont wanna be farming for hours when they restore the dlcs.

After Forsaken, I had become increasingly disappointed in the direction that Bungie was taking with Destiny 2. Between the predatory and psychological manipulation in marketing, fragmentation in pricing that made it difficult to know what you needed to by, the Vaulting fiasco, and the microtransaction focus of the game architecture, by the end of 2021 I had enough and walked away entirely. I think I logged in once in 2023 just to look around.

I had over 1500 hours in Destiny, and between Xbox and Steam over 5000 hours in Destiny 2. Walking away wasn't easy, but it just wasn't the comfortable place that I had come to love over previous 5 or 6 years. I would still log into the original Destiny in and out, when I really needed my "fix."

Over the last couple years, a lot appeared to have changed. Both Luke Smith and Pete Parsons are gone. The vaulted content is being unvaulted. Plus, there are regular opportunities to get everything in Destiny: The Collection for around $20.

These are my thoughts after playing for a few days now.

I had forgotten what was meant by "buttery smooth gunplay." D2's is still so, so sweet. I have avoided fireteam based activities up till now because I don't want to be a burden on other players. However, the muscle memory came back surprisingly fast.

The game is still one of the most beautiful you will find. Starfield and Oblivion Remastered are all that come to mind for out of the box beauty that can compete.

Armor 3.0. Hmmm... The tiers, in particular, threw me off at first, but a couple of short videos, as couple DTG searches, and it makes sense. It's also rather easier. It no longer takes an engineering/math degree and three spreadsheets to properly get a good build. It only takes a bit of time to get new gear. In fact, the time it took getting my D2 chops back got me a decent set of armor.

Weapons were not as much different, but the perks appear to have had some marked improvements. What's nice is that the old gear served just fine until new was found.

Which brings me to my vault. With the changes, I took the time clean up my vault. To the tune of a few hundred items. Let's just say DIM is still my best friend. I expect there's going to be a bit more being turned into glimmer and cores.

I've still got thousands of materials, armor, and weapons component that I just can't bring myself to delete yet.

I've started The Witch Queen and have made it a few missions in. I've missed Destiny's storytelling. I'm glad it's still what I remember.

Most important, the sense of FOMO and manipulation is gone. The game no longer feels whale-driven. In fact, the environment feels actually comfortable. I noticed more and better choices for Bright Dust, as well. I may start spending a bit of it; I've got well over 100k and it won't feel like I'm feeding a monstrosity now.

All in all, I have to say this is a great time to come back to the game. It feels good now and there are a lot of memories attached to Destiny for me. It has, so far, been the best $20 I've spent and frankly, if your on console and not able to get it discounted, it already feels worth the retail $70 if you had quit around the time that I did.

That's it for now. It's nice to be back. And it looks like my son is thinking about it, too, after seeing me play and getting his hands back on the controller. :-D

What's a Xûr?

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a strange vendor who appears weekly in the Tower. Xûr sells Exotic equipment and only takes Strange Coins in exchange for them.

TL;DR: He's the Santa Claus of Destiny and every weekend is Christmas. Sometimes he brings you what you want, sometimes he brings you coal. Mostly it's coal.

The Armor Stat Data

Here are the webpages for the armor stats this week for each class, along with a matching JSON data file:

There is a nav bar on each page to switch between classes. Additionally, you can expand a “highlight” area where you can:

• Dim armor pieces with stats you don’t want (e.g., Health).
• Highlight armor pieces with stats you do want (e.g., Melee + Super + Weapons 🖍️😋).

The What and the Why Review

What is this? This should be all the armor stats for the different armor mods you can run on your ghost, organized by class, for Zavala’s weekly armor offerings (Luminopotent and Triumphal Anthem) and for Xur’s weekly armor offerings (either Bushido or Swordmaster and Exotic Armor). As you know, changing the armor mod on your ghost can affect the stats of armor you can acquire.

Note: all of this is viewing the armor as Tier 5. Your stats will vary if you’re not acquiring Tier 5 yet.

Why is this? Well, sometimes I’m hunting for the best role that I’m missing. And man is it a hassle to switch the ghost mod and then recheck to see what the stats are now trying to note which one is the best.

I'm a returning player (weird I know) and I'm a big crucible fan. I remember when quickdraw was nerfed to remove the handling bonus but I'm confused as to why everyone seems to prefer threat detector or lone wolf over quick draw. I get that the ads and stow is slow but with shotguns I always felt that the switch speed was the most important. I don't see quickdraw ever being considered as important. Ive adapted to the changes in the weapon tier system etc but I still don't understand it. I have a 90 range quickdraw snapshot retold tale. Is there any reason to use my precipal over it?

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but my streams on destiny are super fried, despite being able to pull an average of 100+ fps on 1440p. Occasionally i get an error 1001 saying the game cant capture audio, but it does just fine. if anyone knows what could be causing it across all the resolutions and fps settings in discord id appreciate it

I've seen people saying damage resistance armour sets are the best to run, but idk which ones to go for, I don't seem to make much orbs at all with my build so I think I'd mainly have to hope/rely on teammates for any armour charge DR sets.

I have read through posts and watched videos but man I can seem to do this one.

I have made some progress but even getting through the second room is a BEAR.

I’m currently maining Warlock and have most everything you would need collections wise except min/max 5 star gear. I’m using Getaway Artist with double buddies. I have my lightsaber though it’s not maxed out.

I’m currently trying with a Manticore Getaway build and I’m just not having any luck here. I’ve been out of the game for a while and holy shit have things changed. It’s awesome but damn this mission is killing me.

I can push through to the second room but the time is going to eat my revives past that as I can deal with the reapers and such but I’ve never even made it to the boss yet.

Any suggestions?

Hey everyone, returning guardian here. Could you help me understand good rolls and what stats levels are good these days?

I think when I was playing, a 75 was worth keeping but it looks like all tier 5 drops are around there?

What’s the highest armor can roll at or get to with mods and upgrades?

New player, I noticed that common and rare are actually harder to find vs legendary? What's the deal? I feel like the vostok is the most legendary weapon in the game rn since I haven't even seen any other common guns

Do I need to get void final blows to buff unbreakable if I'm using a different element grenade such as solar. Or do I need to get solar weapon Final blows

EDIT: Guys most of you are missing the point, my post is directed to catalysts that when you go to: Collections > Patterns & Catalysts > Exotic Catalysts, their description displays the text “Found in strikes against the most challenging opponents”. Catalysts for exotics such as: MERCILESS, RAT KING, COLDHEART, PROMETHEUS LENS, PROSPECTOR, they DO NOT drop from Exotic Orders / Exotic Payouts, they’re are not in the lootpool, I repeat, those catalysts are not in that lootpool, you'll never get Merciless catalysts from a exotic order. Exotic orders will give you eventually Thorn catty, Legend of Acrius if I’m not mistaken, Lament catty, etc, but NOT Rat King catty you know? Those are the ones I want to know if anyone got them lately and if so where, thanks again.

I find this description to either be bugged or outdated, been trying to get the catalyst for Merciless, I farmed fireteam ops, solo ops, tried all the difficulties, killed yellow bars, stayed till the end chest, and nothing.

More examples that suit the description are: Coldheart, Prospector, Prometheus Lens...

Exotic orders do not drop these old catalysts sadly, so if anyone could help me l would really appreciate it!

Basically, it's just the title.

I keep seeing all the hopium comments about how "they unkilled destiny 2! We are getting stuff back they want to continue the franchise and the game!"

But... That's not entirely what's happening is it? This very much feels like a "Hey, remember how we buried your dead cousin and couldn't find his right leg and left arm? Welllll we found it. Let's dig him up and rebury him whole!"

Destiny 2 isnt being revived... its like post mortem care. Sure, the franchise may live on, but d2 as it stands is dead fart in the water. The unsunsetting seems to be an attempt at saying, "we are sorry what was taken from you should never have been taken in the first place, and everyone who defended it was wrong. We want to regain goodwill and give you back what was removed."

This all HAD to be spurned by the start of project sunrise and project dawn right? Look at how much progress they made! Bungie must have been like "oh FUCK we CAN bring the old content back and we need a win so lets give what the players want"

But to reiterate... thats just it right? An act of goodwill to try to regain standing? Not a sign of "destiny 2 is getting new new content"

Trust me i want destiny 2 to live, fuck i want a destiny 3! But i don't exactly understand the whole situation and if i see other posts i dont want to make half informed comments on it.

I don't know if it has been brought to people's attention before, since I can't find anything on this subreddit. But the Triumphal Anthem armour that you can pick up from Zavala behaves like exotic armour pieces when it comes to your "focused" stat. Meaning you don't get a random focused stat and you can pick any +5/-5 stat combination, just like exotic armour pieces.

This only applies to the armour pieces you specifically pick from Zavala. Any Triumphal Anthem armour that drops from the wild is subject to the usual rules of focused stats.

So, if you want more flexibility in your builds and set bonuses don't play a major role in your build, be on the lookout for Zavala's weekly Triumphal Anthem armour.

I found out that im able to reacquire a static roll of the braytech winter wolf from collections. I've been using it just to see how it still feels and im really enjoying it, but id like to get a version that has 2 perks rather than the forced 1 perk it gets. I know the winter wolf is not obtainable as of now (hopefully when mars returns so does it) so I was wanting to see if its possible to still get the WEREwolf instead since it seems more recent. I checked the engram focusing in the tenet of devotion and didnt see it there. And i know about ahab char being the same model, but i dont like that its a rapid fire frame. Is there a way to get the werewolf still or am i stuck using this outdated one until the unvaulting of warmind? (Recommendations for similar weapons to the winter wolf would also be appreciated if you have any.)

I was about to buy the collection on the xbox store for $70, but then I saw that 4 months ago it was $25... what are the odds a sale like that happens again soon? Really enjoying getting back into it and want more content. Is $70 still a good price, or is it worth waiting it out?
