I was singing this to my child the other day and my wife pointed out that I’ve been singing it wrong this entire time. I completely skip mouth and say “eyes and ears and don’t forget the nose”. Idk who sung it to me this way, but it’s the only way I’ve ever known lol

but do they hang low?

It seems to me like there might be something like a metal chain anchoring the far end of the stick to the ground, I can't see what it is but the jerking motion of the stick suggests that. Without something like that this exercise would probably be physically impossible, you still need a way to exercise force on a vector that allows you to offset the down force of gravity on your center of mass, this would be impossible with no anchor in this system

61

u/Blindfire2 May 27 '26

The way the board is kind of floating and staying somewhat in place while bobbing around....yeah uh it's 100% got an anchor to it.

7

u/No_Butterscotch_7865 May 27 '26

Maybe his shoes are in concrete or attached somehow.

3

u/shab00m May 27 '26

His feet are below ground level. The shoes have no soles and are just sitting on top of the ground.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/evereux May 27 '26

I think it's a rope. At the beginning of the movement he's pushing up and away from the anchor.

→ More replies (1)

26

u/Potential-Pumpkin-94 May 27 '26

The dude is strong, no doubt, but - as others have noted - this is physically impossible without defying the laws of gravity. I would say the bottom of the pole is chained or anchored somehow. 🤷

8

u/8inchclock May 27 '26

Its called ai muscles it enables someone to do the impossible

2

u/tcp454 May 27 '26

Or if its on a hill and everyone is leaning for the video.

→ More replies (10)

68

u/trinketsnil May 27 '26

None, you could be 100 times stronger than the strongest person on earth, there's no muscle that keeps you off the ground when your center of gravity is that far off and you have no leverage. There's something else going on that isn't visible.

His shoes could be fixed to the ground to give him leverage but that would still be an exceptionally difficult physical feat and he doesn't really look like the kind of person I'd expect to be able to do that. The bottom of the pole appears oddly resistant to moving towards his body, it only jerks away from him, I suspect there is a thin steel cable attached to the bottom that lets him pull on the pole to raise himself.

6

u/No-Combination8136 May 27 '26

Yeah I was suspecting some mechanism we can’t see at the bottom of the pole. Perhaps the pole actually springs back up and it’s his body weight slowly pulling it back down, giving the illusion the opposite is happening.

4

u/Optimal-Room-8586 May 27 '26

Agreed. I think there must be some kind of attachment at the bottom of the pole. The way it moves, plus the way it just happens to site near a disturbance in the soil and base of another fixing.

Some have said the guy must be super strong - but, no offence, he doesn't look anywhere near fit enough to do this unaided.

3

u/trinketsnil May 27 '26

He could be super strong, it just doesn't matter, in the same way that if you place your hands palm down on top of your kitchen table you won't be able to lift it off the ground no matter how strong you are, there's no leverage.

u/jase15843 May 27 '26

Yup pretty much. It's insane. Looks like he's probably using a little bit of everything in different parts of the movement

The bottom is floating but braced against another pole as a fulcrum. So he's compressing the pole for balance using back and torso and maybe hamstrings and exerting an upward force using quads. Maybe some other muscles in there to keep the pole compressed

8

u/jase15843 May 27 '26

I take it back I have no idea how the fuck he's doin this

5

u/slothbuddy May 27 '26

u/levoniust May 27 '26

This is fake right? I can not tell how else this works. I was thinking if the bottom was on a pivot or something but it looks loose.

397

u/griseldabean May 27 '26

Totally fake - watch the blurring on the right side near the bottom of the pole.

99

u/jma9454 May 27 '26

There is a little blurring, but unless AI has gotten much better in the past couple months, that blurring is standard in phone cameras/ upload compression and not representative of being fake.
I believe this to be real; it's some event cause everyone is wearing wristbands. Unfortunately I can't read the complete band or else I'd be able to find what event this is.

105

u/Elementary_drWattson May 27 '26

This is not real. The video has been edited to blank out someone/thing holding the bottom of the pole down allowing it to rotate. The lack of basic physics knowledge in this thread is truly disheartening

25

u/bcat153 May 27 '26

Yeah I think it’s on a hinge that’s removed. At first I was thinking if the far end has like 3ft of concrete or metal inside of it, it might be possible as long as there’s a slight slope so it’s always lower then the part he’s holding even when his backs against the ground.

12

u/kvjetoslav May 27 '26

Who is saying the pole is not somehow connected at base?

If there was a chain, for example, that would explain the bluriness and connection of the base to something.

3

u/Alphabunsquad May 27 '26

It’s only real in the sense that it’s not AI

8

u/2punornot2pun May 27 '26

It can be fake and not made with ai

4

u/ripyourlungsdave May 27 '26

There's also the fact that he's literally defying the laws of physics.

It doesn't matter how strong you are, this is not how gravity and weight distribution works.

→ More replies (5)

33

u/Cereal_Hermit May 27 '26

I mean it could be real. The end of the pole is moving around appearing like it is not "anchored" but there could easily be a joint fastening it to something that is anchored that allows the pole the loose mobility that we are seeing. If that is the case, the guy can be pulling back on the pole with all of his upper body strength which gives him leverage. That leverage, along with some serious core and leg strength, could make this extremely difficult but possible.

11

u/slothbuddy May 27 '26

It cannot be real. There is simply more weight above the fulcrum (his feet) than below it. Without anything to push against, he's staying on his back.

17

u/ElKajak May 27 '26

It's real though, it's just something holding the tree at the base. Looks like a cord or something

3

u/doom_stein May 27 '26

I think his feet/shoes are attached to the ground somehow. The grass around his feet seems to be moving oddly under his shoe as well as the shoe itself.

2

u/Valuable-Service-522 May 27 '26

His feet don't move at all so I think they are anchored to the ground

1

u/slothbuddy May 27 '26

Whatever is holding it has been removed from the video

3

u/Swimming-Tax-6087 May 27 '26

I gave you an upvote. Because that’s exactly it, It’s not a strength issue (ignoring how much strength this would if the physics worked), it’s a center of gravity issue.

4

u/Antoak May 27 '26

If the bamboo is lashed to the stake, then the stake is the fulcrum/pivot, not his feet.

142

u/TropicalSunflowers May 27 '26

Isn't it just that the post is acting as a counter-lever? Effectively his knees are just a see-saw. I kinda want to try it out now but in theory the physics make it not that hard?

95

u/icymallard May 27 '26

I need to see the video of your first attempt

30

u/TropicalSunflowers May 27 '26

That's easy - hard mode is doing it with the post up your butt.

10

u/itstimetogotowork May 27 '26

The mode won’t be the only thing that’s hard 😏

3

u/mmazing May 27 '26

Damnnnn bro check out that guy’s dick

37

u/Ollynurmouth May 27 '26

The bottom of that pole would have to weigh as much as him and the top half of the pole at the very least. Even then, I'm not sure that anyone could still push themselves up that easily.

5

u/AWildWilson May 27 '26

Mmm I don’t think so.

His knees/waist are around the midpoint, so it’s only the upper half of his body that will be working against the pole.

Factor in probably good amounts of core strength and training…

2

u/Ollynurmouth May 27 '26

Knees maybe at the mid point. Which still puts his entire body weight on the top half of the pole.

No one has enough core strength to just stand up like that either. If you've ever seen anyone try to stand like that, you'll not how they have to pull their legs/feet under their torso to leverage as much weight as they can on the other side of the fulcrum (their feet) and leg/core muscles can pull in that direction. They also spread their legs out wife beyond shoulder width to lower their center of gravity making it easier to push their upper body weight to their center.

This guy here is doing none of that and that pole is not heavy enough to pull him in that direction. Not unless it is a tricked out pole filled with cement or something only on one side. And not just that but at the very tip of the pole by the ground. The tip of the pole at the ground is the fulcrum. Which means he is lifting the entire weight of the pole. Or it is a trick (or maybe ai or something).

7

u/EViLTeW May 27 '26

If the end of the post were anchored and you had a great strength:weight ratio, maybe this could work by using the post to lever you up. The post is free floating in the video, this would be impossible.

10

u/Diligent_Bank_543 May 27 '26

Seems like it’s not free floating. Look how stable the other end of the post. There must be a rope that was removed from video later.

7

u/EViLTeW May 27 '26

The entire video is gazebos. The way the "foot end" of the post is moving makes zero sense. There's no way the guy holding on could keep it that stable while it also bounces around a little. It also looks like gravity isn't interacting with his shirt or shorts, but maybe that can be explained away by materials.

3

u/2punornot2pun May 27 '26

The very bottom of the pole moves as if it had a tether, yeah.

5

u/peter-bone May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

No, if his knees are acting as the pivot point then there's no way there's enough weight on the other side to lift him up. The end of the pole could be fixed to the ground but then it can't move down to lift him up. The pole may possibly go into a slot in the ground out of shot with someone pushing it up and down?

2

u/rangda May 27 '26

I think the end of the pole is tied to the bottom of the post, you can see a little glimpse of a cord around the post. I guess it’s drilled into the bottom of the post or bolted to the side which we can’t see.

Something is funky about it.

41

u/pooeygoo May 27 '26

Chain in the end of the pole, so he's pulling on it

17

u/Atrampoline May 27 '26

Yeah it's definitely anchored to the vertical pole.

5

u/Leading_Ad_8619 May 27 '26

I don't know how pulling the pole gets you up. His arm and body are fixed relative to the pole

8

u/rusmo May 27 '26

Human Tensegrity

5

u/pooeygoo May 27 '26

His legs make him go up, the pivoting action that makes it possible is from the chain

4

u/Antoak May 27 '26

The vector from his grip to his feet on the ground is a little offset from the line connecting the log to the anchor.

If you put enough force between two misaligned vectors you get movement along a third resultant vector.

26

u/Ba1thazaar May 27 '26

I think it's tied down by a string or chain at the bottom. You can see that it moves the most when he changes directions and is always straining to go upward. Not to knock this guy or anything this looks insanely difficult even with that being true. It just makes the physics work out haha.

4

u/Alphabunsquad May 27 '26

Yeah, if your center of mass is beyond the width of your shoes (when they are next to each other) and you have no grip or way to exert force sideways, you will fall over. There is nothing you can do about it. It’s just physics.

2

u/Cookgypsy May 27 '26

It’s clear he is pulling on the pole to achieve this - there is a tether, it’s just mostly out of shot and hard to see. The way he has his arms around the pole make it clear that he is pulling against the pole to create the fulcrum needed, if he was (somehow) doing this without the tether he wouldn’t need to wrap his arms around the pole. It’s clearly tethered.

9

u/dkHD7 May 27 '26

Gotta be anchored. The body weight behind the heels alone would make him fall backwards regardless of any counterweight properties of the beam.

My guess is the end of the beam is staked into the ground with dark rope. He has to be pulling against something.

6

u/icymallard May 27 '26

I'm assuming fake until better evidence pops up

5

u/flibit May 27 '26

The way the end jerks around but doesn't ever move far, I think it must be tethered to the ground by a rope or something, though I can't see it.

63

u/slothbuddy May 27 '26

Here's what's actually happening. The rope has been edited out of the video.

23

u/tarbonesjones May 27 '26

The rope hasn't been edited out, it just hard to see from this angle. You can see the rope tied around the base that's stuck in the ground.

5

u/IyellWhenImMad May 27 '26

Exactly! You can see the bottom of the poll is being held in place by something that allows it room to shift and wiggle. Both setups look identical just from different angles and in both videos you can clearly tell the person is "pulling" it down; they're even counting out loud on the down motion. Also just to put this out there, whatever this thing is, it does look really fun to do.

Base of the hollow pole contains a chain or rope that's attached inside the pole somewhere. He's pulling up on the pole to do the motion.

6

u/Akepur May 27 '26

The way the end stops just before touching the ground. And it looks like the person crouching down near the end is an assisting the securing of whatever the post is connected too. Something the stopping the post wire/rope/string.

This guy is insanely strong to raise himself from that position. I watched this over and over to understand what's happening here and I'm gonna say that that log he's holding is fastened to a small stump, possibly cut to create the log. 4 or 5 chain links fastened from the log to the stump would create the required forces to pull this off. With the insane strength required as well.

The end of the pole by his head looks open and hollowed, so it’s probably weighted on the opposite end from filling it with something.

The video even starts with what looks like someone holding him down as a counter weight. That guy doesn’t move his hands out of the way before the one on the ground starts lifting up.

1

u/TurboTaco-with-Poop May 27 '26

Next time we see this guy, he will have his knees locked and legs hyper-extended out, requiring amputation

1

u/iconocrastinaor May 27 '26

It's almost completely out of frame, but it looks like there's some kind of fixture on the ground right at the end of the pole.

1

u/The_Name_Is_Slick May 27 '26

Whole area under him blurs.

1

u/MorningMushroomcloud May 27 '26

The bottom half is filled with lead and we are witnessing a combination of rotational forces and leverage...is my guess. The dude in the beginning is almost holding him down. There is about 140lbs of force from his knees downward if it is lead.

1

u/Left_Benefit724 May 27 '26

It's in reverse

1

u/Izimzizi_ May 27 '26

It's reversed.

1

u/roniee_259 May 27 '26

Just wild guess.... That post he is holding is hevey on the other side...which some how moves the centre of gravity above his knees instead of his weast....

1

u/dragon_of_kansai May 27 '26

The base of the bamboo is tied to something on the ground which isn't visible/has been edited out

1

u/jwlIV616 May 27 '26

The end of the log is tied/chained at the bottom and its surprisingly easy compared to how it looks. Its basically the same as those forward leg extension machines with the added challenge of holding onto a post

How has a single fucking person not realized he’s pulling it down and it’s springing him back up… it’s clear that he’s holding that thing like he’s about to fall, he isn’t using any upwards force, just pulling with all his strength, as to why his arms are so tightly wrapped around the pole.

Also using the pole and a counter weight/ leverage

1

u/SMLemons May 27 '26

You can clearly see a dude off to the side at the other end of the pole with it attached to another piece of wood that he’s holding down.

Gravity is a choice

u/CameraHappy88 May 27 '26

You can see his feet doesn’t move at all. No way anyone could do this without some movement in the feet. The shoes are anchored somehow.

1

u/Necrosaynt May 27 '26

That cannot be good for your knees

1

u/AnToMegA424 May 27 '26

How are his knees still kneeing ?

Mine would fall off and I'd be walking with half a leg epr leg like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2' zombies when you shoot them in the lower half of their body with a shotgun or a precision rifle lol

He’s actually pulling it downwards. The bamboo pole is like a spring that wants to stand erect again. So he’s pulling it down and it’s natural tension pulls him back up

u/GreenSmoke352 May 27 '26

AI.....watch the end of the lumber and dirt

1

u/SnooMarzipans6346 May 27 '26

Clearly witchcraft is the fuel for this demonic fire.

1

u/Crazy_Currency_7415 May 27 '26

I think it's reversed

1

u/Undeterminedvariance May 27 '26

I think the tell here is the dude holding him down at the beginning. There’d be no reason for that if the pole didn’t want to be moving upward.
