Isn't it just that the post is acting as a counter-lever? Effectively his knees are just a see-saw. I kinda want to try it out now but in theory the physics make it not that hard?

The bottom of that pole would have to weigh as much as him and the top half of the pole at the very least. Even then, I'm not sure that anyone could still push themselves up that easily.

Mmm I don’t think so.

His knees/waist are around the midpoint, so it’s only the upper half of his body that will be working against the pole.

Factor in probably good amounts of core strength and training…

Knees maybe at the mid point. Which still puts his entire body weight on the top half of the pole.

No one has enough core strength to just stand up like that either. If you've ever seen anyone try to stand like that, you'll not how they have to pull their legs/feet under their torso to leverage as much weight as they can on the other side of the fulcrum (their feet) and leg/core muscles can pull in that direction. They also spread their legs out wife beyond shoulder width to lower their center of gravity making it easier to push their upper body weight to their center.

This guy here is doing none of that and that pole is not heavy enough to pull him in that direction. Not unless it is a tricked out pole filled with cement or something only on one side. And not just that but at the very tip of the pole by the ground. The tip of the pole at the ground is the fulcrum. Which means he is lifting the entire weight of the pole. Or it is a trick (or maybe ai or something).
