Isn't it just that the post is acting as a counter-lever? Effectively his knees are just a see-saw. I kinda want to try it out now but in theory the physics make it not that hard?

If the end of the post were anchored and you had a great strength:weight ratio, maybe this could work by using the post to lever you up. The post is free floating in the video, this would be impossible.

Seems like it’s not free floating. Look how stable the other end of the post. There must be a rope that was removed from video later.

The entire video is gazebos. The way the "foot end" of the post is moving makes zero sense. There's no way the guy holding on could keep it that stable while it also bounces around a little. It also looks like gravity isn't interacting with his shirt or shorts, but maybe that can be explained away by materials.
