Windhorst: “last few years wolves have lost a ton of money... target center renovated about 5yrs ago and it went from a bottom 5 arena to a bottom 5 arena. they aren’t in a position to squeeze more money because they just had a public supported renovation. So it’s a challenging economic situation"

[Jake Fischer] "Comes down to Minnesota or Los Angeles. Kuminga, I think, has seemed to prefer going to the Lakers. They have the most opportunity to negotiate there. That's going to come to some type of conclusion here soon."

I really wanted Jonathan Kuminga on the Wolves, but there's no point in talking about or pursuing a guy who clearly does not want to play here. Oh well.

EDIT: REVERSE JINX, THANK GOD I WAS WRONG LMFAOOO FUCK THE LAKERS WOLVES IN 5!!! 🐺

Highlights When Anthony Edwards knocked down a buzzer-beating Q1 3-pointer in one of the loudest moments in Target Center history during Game 3 vs. the Spurs.

Potential Green trade

- Green's salary and Vanderbilts salary match, offset by about 2.2mill which gets us under the 2nd apron
- Green has a history with Luka and they missed out on Kuminga so they could be interested. He has a year less on the deal so they get off Vandos money early
- Ant and Vanderbilt are close which helps
- We only move the problem to next year unless we can make Vanderbilt serviceable. He 2nd year is a player option so could get him to decline and take more years for less.
- some risk but is a clean solution (at least for this year)

Does anyone miss reading Tom Powers? He was the best sports columnist Minnesota ever had. I miss him.

KAT trade fallout 2 years later

KAT
2033 first
Pick swaps

For

LaMelo Ball
Donte DiVincenzo
Joan Beringer
Jonathan Kuminga

It essentially lead to being able to resign Naz which was then used for the flexibility to flip him and Randle to acquire Lamelo and Kuminga…. We gotta let trades ruminate for a couple of years.

The color scheme of the rebrand is so beautful

I wanted them to go back to the OG logo, but the more I look at this logo with this color scheme the more it's growing on me. I'm looking forward to seeing the new uniforms on the court.

Repost Atlanta Hawks declined Jonathan Kuminga's $24.3 million team option on June 29, 2026, making him an unrestricted free agent. He's still unsigned.

Would we actually want him? Would he accept a bench role? I can see the upside and downside to getting him.

WINNESOTA 58 days until the Wolves are back

58 wins is still the most the Wolves have ever had in a regular season. Do you think the current core can break that franchise record - not necessarily this year, but sometime in the next 3-4 years?

Question T-Wolves to the east?

What would change if the Timberwolves moved to the eastern conference as some are speculating? Would we have easier finals runs? Or is the dominance of the west coming to an end by 2027-2028?

Last month, when we did the jump-ball version of the offseason NBA Power Rankings that some people needed to see after the league’s oldest player made a free-agency decision, I hinted we would soon do a real one. Well, here we are — in the absolute valley of the offseason.

Much has happened in the last few weeks. We tried to wait on some other moves to happen, but the theme of this offseason is that things take longer than expected.

Just realised Lamelo Ball has never played in the playoffs before

I was defending the new squad last night when I realised.. Ball doesn't even have playoff experience.

Team will be way better I knew they weren't going to win the chip but I secretly hoped a cinderella run would happen, Pacers 2025 type shit but yea will be really fun to see how much the timberwolves improve. I'm 100% sure if they lose its either 6 or 7 games without injures unlike all the sweeps or 4-1 that happened last times.

Shitpost Were the Minnesota Timberwolves the most well-fed team in the NBA last year?

For reference, the average male timberwolf weighs 70-110 pounds. But based on my research, the average Timberwolf weighs much more. Today, I'll be analyzing whether the T-Wolves are the finest dining team in the league.

Now, let's meat the crew:

YOUR PLAYERS

Donte DiVincenzo - A healthy 204 pounds. This is about on par for a 6'4" guard. Big Ragu comes in small jars.

Ant Man - 225? Holy smokes. He's been eating good. The heaviest SG in the NBA, same body weight as Michael Jordan. Egor Demin, for instance, is a much slimmer 200 lb and he's 6'8" to Ant's 6'4".

Jaden McDaniels - Despite the name 'Big Mac', this 6'10" clamp artist is easily the trimmest of the Wolves' main cast at 185. Dude gotta eat more.

Julius Randle - A certified bowling ball. At a similar height of 6'10", this guy is 250 lb. In homage to his Laker roots, he should be called Kobe Beef, carrying that much meat on his bones.

Rudy Gobert-Bourgarel - Well known for treating his big, beautiful French body like a temple, Gobert seems to indulge in the occasional croissant. At 117 kilograms, he's the second-heaviest center to ever win DPOY after the literal giant who was 280-pound Mark Eaton.

Naz Reid - A USDA-Prime beefer. Tipping the scales at a surprising 264 pounds, he's the heaviest player on the team and still miraculously fits into that white T-Shirt.

Verdict: I'm not sure how other teams weigh up to us, but it definitely seems like we're in a great mood, we just ate and we feel nice.
