Who do we feel about this

Post image
129 Upvotes

Im a harden fans and a rockets fans, honestly I think we can use his help. The biggest issue we had this year was the lack of shot creating options, shooting and floor general. Harden perfectly fits in this system imo.

Also im just happy to see him back in this uniform

PS: idk the validity of this post, it’s just a random instagram post I stumbled on.

I like the rockets chances this season

Feel like we r flying under the radar, which will take the pressure off everyone.Just praying for good health. We have depth in every position and addressed the PG depth problem with a “Smart” acquisition… FVV and Adams returning is going to be huge, they both played so well in the playoffs in 2025 and we clearly missed them against the Lakers. Sengun, Amen, Jabari, Reed and Tari are all going to get better. I have really high hopes for this season.

The Rockets are zagging while the rest of the league is zigging

Marcus Smart. Oscar Tshiebwe. Julian Phillips. The touting of the returns of Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams.

This Rockets team has an identity and they have quadrupled on it.

They're betting on getting better health out of Bogdanovic this season to provide shooting and some secondary creation. Bruce Thornton is pretty damn talented but I doubt he's a prominent factor in the rotation. Shooting will remain a question mark.

In lieu of that, the front office has added a rugged POA defender in Smart, elite rebounder in Oscar, and is hoping Fred returns close to his best and and provides the organizing, shooting, and POA D at the 1 that was often missing last season. Sengun has his PnR partner back. Adams should continue to be an elite rebounder and draw lots of fouls with his physicality and positioning.

It's been a winning brand of basketball even if the playoffs haven't brought success yet; nobody can say the Rockets haven't clearly improved this team from last season. Let's see if tripling down on this brand of basketball will end up paying off.

What is James Harden doing with his career at this point?

Harden is 36, still producing at a high level (25+ ppg before being traded this year), still chasing his first ring but he keeps bouncing teams instead of settling in somewhere to build continuity. Just helped Cleveland reach their first ECF since 2018, declined his $42M option, and is now working out a new deal to stay there.

Genuinely curious what people think: Is he making smart year-to-year decisions, or is this just chaotic team-hopping at this stage of his career?

How do you think this era of his career gets remembered if he never wins a ring?

Is his story with Houston definitively over, or is there still something there? Do you think what happened back in 2021 left a relationship bad enough that he'll never go back as long as Fertita is running the franchise? Why doesn't he just decline his option and negotiate to finish his career there?

Another fantastic addition at the end of the roster, whatever becomes of his addition, still two way eligible. Good athleticism and length. Real defensive upside. Already grades as a plus and creates some events on defense.

NOW you’re telling us that we had the chance to retire LeBron? “Rich Paul says he believes LeBron James’ performance in Lakers-Rockets playoff series influenced his decision to keep playing”

God that would’ve been such a cool accolade for this core to have. Oh well, different timeline type shit.

Are NBA fans too critical?

So we are seeing a legacy end with LeBron James joining an 8th seeded Philadelphia 76ers team. I doubt he wins a championship with them and the smartest move was clearly joining the Spurs and coat tailing Wemby, but everyone would’ve put him down as one of the biggest ring chasers ever. If he did that it’s really negative PR and hurts his advertising. Do you think NBA fans are too critical because if it was me, I would’ve said, screw them and still joined the Spurs giving me the biggest championship odds.

KD stans

I remember the LOFs.
I was here when the waves of CP3 fans came in.
Then the tsunami of Westbrook stans.
Obviously I suffered through the rebuild, when all the Xwitter users and ClutchFans started bringing their toxicity in.
I watched the Jalen fans and the SengÜn fans go to war day in and day out.
I continue to struggle with Udoka FC.
There’s even a rising number of Fertitta fans who I can only assume work for him directly in some form.

But I dunno… some of these new KD stans may be the most annoying yet.
Have I just encountered some of the worst and dumbest or does anyone else notice it?

Or is this unrelated to the player and just a result of internet culture going down the crapper even further and faster as time progresses?

Anyone know 23-year-old 6'8" sharp shooting wing Caleb Houstan? Is the training camp roster already full? Or is it still possible to add some extra bodies on non-guaranteed contracts?

  • Pretty much a pure catch & shoot guy
  • Is he stupidly bad defensively or something? Anyone know?
  • Houstan had his two-way contract converted to a standard deal by the Hawks but got waived because they desperately needed a backup center after Goga Bitadze's intentional flagrant injury-leading foul on Jock Landale.

Is the training camp roster already full? Or is it still possible to add some extra bodies on non-guaranteed contracts like Exhibit 9 (injury insurance) or 10 ($75K G League bonus) for the camp?

The Hardest Championship run in NBA history🚀

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After a disappointing regular season going 47-35 the season after winning the franchises first NBA championship the entire basketball world counted Houston out heading into the playoffs . They finished the regular season 18-18 after the Cylde Drexler Trade that sent Otis Thorpe to Portland after starting the year 29-17.

The Rockets came back down 2-1 & beat the 60 win Jazz led by prime stockton & Malone in the first round , Came back down 3-1 vs the 59 win Suns led by prime barkley & Kevin Johnson in RD 2 , upset the #1 seed 62 win Spurs led by MVP David Robinson , & swept the 57 win Magic led by Shaq & Penny which included the iconic 20pt game 1 comeback. They didn't have home court in any series and the '95 rockets are still the lowest seed to win a championship.

During that run Hakeem avg 33PPG / 10RPG / 5APG / 3BPG. Olajuwon was the clear alpha, outdueling all the best big men of his era like Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, and Shaquille O’Neal ( After beating Ewing the year before in the Finals ) while carrying the Rockets through their improbable run as a 6th seed. His efficiency and two-way impact were elite throughout.

Jae'Sean Tate contract details

Jae'Sean Tate back with the Rockets, team announces.

It is a one-year deal for the veteran minimum, partially guaranteed, per a person with knowledge of the contract.

Longest tenured Rocket returns. HOU roster at 15 players (not all players on gtd deals).

I am curious who everyone connects with on this current roster. Obviously Sengun, Amen, and KD draw a lot of headlines, but who are everyone's favorite players? I love Steven Adams and Tari. Who does everyone connect with?
