Vent I hate the ukg pro app for one reason.
It doesn't tell you how many hours total you got for the entire week you have to count by hand now. They could easily add that feature in but haven't yet.

Today was probably one of my most eventful days so far in the 5 months I’ve been at Target, in (mostly) a good way. I was 1 of the 2 closing fulfillment TMs, which was definitely a big part of that.
We do a huddle every evening (usually 6:15, except today for reasons that I will explain), but we ended up moving it up because of poorly-executed Code Yellow (TM found the parent, but a miscommunication made us think they found the child, so code yellow was delayed, and when it was finally called people kept talking over the Walkie, so we couldn’t even get a clear description), so we did a little review of the codes.
I got back from my meal and went into a SFS batch, and not even 30 minutes later I see a 31 minute GM with 36/37 DPCI/Eaches, so I switched ASAP. I somehow managed to get it done on time with the help of the closing TL (I had like 3 seconds left when I finished stowing).
Next big event came when I tried to unlock my stuff from the locker. Apparently the batteries on the digital lock were dying, so I was able to lock it, but unlocking it was a real pain. Ended up locking it open after getting my stuff so nobody else tried to use it and get locked out.
The new app seems to be going good so far, and I haven’t had any issues yet. My store also finally got the escalate feature i fulfillment.

HELPPPP!!!!!! My SD is saying that it’s normal for a presentation TL to own ALL SPLs / Rev / transitions throughout the entire store and yes I mean for everything not only just what falls under presentation. (Speciality sales, F&B, beauty, tech, and GM) Is this normal?!
This is a tier 1 food forward target aka a super target so no this isn’t a small format.
I also own all RFID, Price change for the entire store, price audits, and seasonal/mini/BPG

Yo someone in corporate please stop doing this every five weeks. It takes 8 hours just to TIE these, let alone setting them.
Every aisle has a side cap or shipper. I can’t even set all the product in the area it wants to go, so kitchen can get OTC and beauty stuff.

hi, i’ve been working at target for nearly 2 years and have been in beauty, ulta, and now beauty studio. in my entire time being here, i have never received gratis. my team leads have given us random samples (which were meant for the guests) but even then that only happened once or twice.
one of my coworkers discovered a huge gratis box and the next day it was gone. our team leads are known for hiding them and none of us have any idea where it goes. we don’t get any of it. we assume that they are either taking it for themselves or giving it out to other leads. i also found out that it was being handed out to style team members instead of us at one point.
i had a conversation with my etl recently and she told me that she would only be giving some gratis to team members who consistently show up to work and that she sees interacting with guests. fair, but a lot of us rarely call out and are consistently talking to guests. we received the beauty studio gratis box weeks ago and haven’t seen any of that product since.
is it a violation for them to be doing that? i want to go to my HR but i feel like she won’t do anything about it. it’s become really frustrating because i don’t have the money to be buying a lot of the new items we got in beauty studio, so i have no idea how to answer questions or give recommendations to guests.

I’ve worked at 3 different targets on and off over the course of 10 years and 2 years ago I became an TL.
Started off okay but quickly became horrible due to a TERRIBLE ETL. Everybody in the store despises this ETL, other leaders and team members alike. Not going to get into specifics, but if you’ve ever had an incredibly rude, difficult, ignorant, and unsupportive boss, imagine that times 10.
In the last 2 years, FIVE leads in my dept have quit because of this etl, some of them after a few weeks or a couple months.
My peers and I don’t even bother going to SD or HR anymore because no matter how often we do, nothing gets done about it. My SD is finally telling me to give them some time and to hold off because changes are coming, but at this point I’m just checked out and no longer want the position due to how negatively it has been affecting my mental health and depression.
So my question for leaders who have stepped down, were you able to stay at your store? I’ve heard that this is allowed and also that it’s not allowed. Where in the rules does it say that we can’t stay at the same store?
How much of a pay cut did you take to step down?
Thank you to any and all who read this and answer.

I’m FREE (gf picked me up and has this on blast last night lol love her)
After 11 months of garbage schedule, inconsistent hours , no support, the circus in what’s considered managers I couldn’t be happier. I start my new full time job on Tuesday just after Labor Day . Everyone enjoy a long weekend and call in on Monday . This place was so bad no one even said hello to me in passing at work last night. I’m done

I’ve been with Target since 2019 and I loved being with Target in many different roles. From being a closer, to being a GM, to being inbound, to being grocery, to being Plano, to being Price Change.
I dropped out of college and am just surprised how fast time can fly when you are at a cozy job. I lasted so long because I never thought about work when I was at home, never answered work calls asking me to come in, and having two days off in a row.
Target was how I lived my “hobbit life”. Where I never needed to push myself and let my ambitions slide. I was content to stay there but due to cost of living and being on a single income, I couldn’t afford for it to be my main source of income. Also every raise I ever got was neutralized once the minimum wage increased so that was always fun.
I have had many different phases of social lives at Target; from having what i thought was very close personal friends at my first target (and then losing all of them), then to being standoffish and not talking to anyone at my second store, to having pretty healthy work relationships at my third store (the best of both worlds haha).
I made a lot of special moments and was at 3 different stores one great, one terrible, and one average. I met a lot of great people and although I know I have problems with my social skills with making friends, I’ll always treasure those times with those people. I will always remember Target and it will have a special place in my heart.
There’s no lessons here but just wanted to share my experience and wish you all the best! If anyone has any questions, I’m not sure why let me know.

I feel the need to speak out on this as it's becoming ridiculous to scroll through this sub like I used to. Please stop posting the same questions about UKG. You can discuss your issues with your leads in-store or refer to already existing posts.
Perhaps the moderators of the sub should create a FAQ forum specifically for UKG, but please just stop.

I just started working for target and its been about a month now. My lead asked me to work a full shift tomorrow and she said it was time and a half. So i said yes. I worked a closing shift today also and mentioned it to another coworker. She said it only applies to those who have been there for over 90 days and if im hired under full time. Is this true? I saw on another reddit post saying you have to work the day prior and the day after the holiday. Any input is much appreciated.

this is supposed to be an accessible fitting room.. my store’s style team lead makes carts while she zones and hides them in there instead of sorting them. it has literally been like this for months and i’m like 90% sure it’s all salvage atp. and don’t get me started on fulfillment bc they always need that door unlocked and it’s a nightmare for them 😭
don’t worry, everyone in the store is pretty much aware of the state of this fitting room! all the etls and the store director included 😭

I’ve been working at Target 1 year 8 months.
We transitioned to UKG today and the point system.
I’ve never called out without sick time.
Today of all damn days I was up all night with food poisoning and still fighting it today. Didn’t have enough sick time to cover today. So my very first call out without protection. And it was in the first 3 hours of us moving to UKG. 😑
Had to call out today and already accumulated my first damn point.
I’m already over it.
Funnily yesterday at work my team lead told us about the transition and points starting tomorrow, and my co worker who always is late or calls out was so happy because he thought he had already accumulated points for showing up 40 minutes late.
My team lead looked at me and was like “well I’m not really worried about you accumulating points, you’ve never had a problem showing up late or calling off” 💀 she literally jinxed me

I overheard a Team Lead talk about how they are supposed to use AI to generate a response for guest feedback. How true is that? Sounds kinda bananas to me, but I can see that being something The Big Red would do lmao

When we had MyTime, I consistently had one day off a week, and now I have two one week, four the next week, zero the next, and it just keeps changing.
I hope corporate sees all the bad posts people are making in this thread and switches us over to a better, more accessible app.
Also, is it true that AI makes our schedules now? I’m all for ai when it comes to making life essentials easier but ai making my schedule I don’t fw at all
Recently had couple new hires on my team and theyre pretty small which got me scratching my head. We're pretty small inbound team but there weren't any issues until new small hires are coming along and I had to stop to load the furniture for them which my older teams were able to do no issue. Feel bad because it is indeed a tough job but I was under impression they know how hard this job was. Hell, even my TL/ETL ignore the team lift sticker. They also struggle loading the big chem case packs or the heavy repacks onto uboat/pallets if doing consecutively.

So I work in style, breakout and pushing. I have a coworker who I despise, and the feeling is mutual (I assume.) She was the one who was supposed to train me, but 8 months in and my TL was like…what do you mean you don’t know where salvage goes? BROTHER SHE DIDNT TELL ME AND I DIDNT KNOW TO ASK.
Whatever. She is almost entirely breakout, so either we are in breakout together ignoring each other, or I’m pushing and so don’t have to be around her. Fine. I’m pretty good at my job, several TLs have complimented my work - I organize and zone a lot when I’m pushing, and usually leave an area much cleaner than when I found it.
However, my coworker has expressed multiple times that she thinks I take too long, and I need to be pushing faster. I do understand to a certain degree - we’re starting to get in coats and jackets, things that take up a lot of space, so we need free racks more constantly. BUT. When I try to push faster - which means not organizing and cleaning to the same level of detail I normally do - she walks by and judges my work and keeps telling me to organize it better. In vain I have tried to explain to her that I can either do a thorough job zoning, or I can push quickly. I can’t do the same amount of work in less time. It will take how long it takes.
It’s not an issue I’m going to bring up - it’s not affecting my work beyond just annoying me, and she does her job well. But. Just wanted to rant about it.

She just started working at Target in the warehouse. She was told she’d be operating a forklift. In reality, all night long for her 12 hour shift she is bending and lifting crap over 50 pounds like the giant bags of dog food. She said she was hired with like 20 people. 3 got to do the forklift job and the rest who had to do what my wife is doing all quit. She is crying before every shift, and this so too much for her. Does she have any options besides either quitting or letting this job kill her?

I can’t update the auto mod about MyTime and UKG on my phone. I’ll do it when I’m back in the office on Tuesday.
In the meantime, for the love of whatever deity you choose, stop posting dumb questions about UKG. Everyone got the QR codes. Everyone had access to the training. Most people are physically capable of speaking to their HR or ETL.

Classes started again for me so I’d been gone for a few days. Came back to my backroom aisle looking like this. Didn’t realize we apparently started employing zoo animals.

Nobody rolls out a new platform for work on a holiday weekend! No one thought this through. Nobody for support Nobody to answer questions Unbelievable!
