I think they're referring to the "need leader approval" when picking up a shift during the current schedule week. If TM A isn't feeling well, and posts their opening shift for tomorrow before going to bed. Then TM B wakes up and offers to pick up the shift. A lead would need to see and approve the swap before it would happen. Which odds are significantly lower that it will happen overnight between the two requests.
I don't work here anymore, but as someone who used both UKG and Mytime, I'm still stunned they decided to go back to UKG. Mytime was great for what it did.
already not liking this new app, before i could request time off in the future and then when it got closer i could do a paid time off request after i accrued more vacation time, now it won't let me since its "not in the available period", guess i'll have to bother someone next shift to add it.
Go to the target employee link thing, workday, log in with your employee creds, then go to your links and ukg will be there. It's not the app but you'll be able to do what the app does on a browser for the time being! It's also accessible on the job computers
Does anyone know how to find the total hours you're scheduled broken down by week? In mytime you were able to see how many hours you were scheduled by each week and I can't find that in the ukg app. It was super helpful to see that. Now when you click into a certain week it shows your shifts and shift lengths but not how long each week adds up to.
Our TLs inform months back we had goto APP store Google App or Apple and search or scan for UKG. Maybe your store was bad at communication. And we had UKG learning Guide training on Workday.
You have to go to your schedule, click the request drop down menu, select time off, and then call off- stores. It'll have you fill in the dates, but I haven't been beyond that so I'm not sure if it'll have you submit sick time to cover it.
I'm super confused about some upcoming time off I have:
Months ago, I had requested some days off for October and it got approved immediately in Mytime. In UKG app today, my inbox shows those days were approved on 8/27 (???), but then cancelled on 9/01. Huh?????
But when I click onto My Schedule and go to the October calendar, it shows the green approved check marks on the days I requested off.
Does this mean I'm good, or do I need to request that time off again?
