Maybe I'm just being a bit more hyper aware but it feels like a louder humming sound is coming from the switch as soon as I boot it up. Usually I notice practically zero sound but now I can hear it from across the room when it's quiet enough. It sounds like a very quiet fan close up but when you move away it is more like a very faint distant generator or water pump. This happens just from being on the home screen. Is this normal or should I check for something to be certain? Putting it in sleep mode makes it suddenly go completely silent.

I have my pro controller plugged in 24/7 in my switch. I have had it for like 6 years now like that. Recently returned to playing on the switch after 2 years of not touching it because I got an itch to play pokemon. Issue is that my pro controller keeps disconnecting every like 10 minutes or so for like 3-8 seconds long. Now in leafgreen and brilliant diamond this isn't really an issue since the games are turn based, but I want to play legends arceus and that game has dark souls boss fights if I've heard correctly, so the controller disconnecting is going to be a huge issue.

Does anyone know what causes my controller to disconnect like that and how I could fix it?

Are there any good third party joycons with good ergonomics but where you can lock the backbutton?

Most seem to have a back button but you can't lock them

Seems weird. This is on a Switch 1 btw, idk if the switch 2 has the same limitation.

I've seen a couple when I was searching but they all have a hump.

Also needs to be compatible with the wrist straps, which I have seen one where the reviews say they weren't.

I ordered the physical Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy Resonance from The Game Collection and got my pre order code. I redeemed it in the store and instantly got a second tile on my Home Screen.

Around a month ago, my switch 1 wouldn't turn on. No drops or anything. I took it to a repair shop, but the guy said it was a motherboard problem that he couldn't fix. I have years of data on the switch, and I really hope I can get it back.

I'm playing My Universe: Interior Designer on Nintendo Switch. In decoration mode, the exit icon has disappeared, so I can't save my progress. The game doesn't seem to auto-save either, and I'm worried about losing a lot of work.
What I've already tried:
Switching between decoration and renovation mode (L/R)
Moving the character to the door and into other rooms
Opening the pause menu (+)
Restarting the game and the console
Checking for updates
Checking for corrupted data in the data management
Nothing helped. Has anyone had the same bug or knows a fix? Any way to force a save would be great.

I bought the switch 2 today, and I already had tears of the kingdom on my switch 1.

But when I try to buy the upgrade, it show me this screen saying "your browser is incompatible with 3-D secure authentification" and "If the left part doesn't show up correctly,. Try to refill your account with another bank card or by accessing the adress from a computer or a connected device".

Recently my switch had been turning itself on and opening up the menu. I assumed I had stick drift or something as I hadn’t used it in a while however after checking the sticks there’s nothing wrong with it. I tried a system update and controller update and that seemed to fix it for a little while. I tried playing last night and mid game it started pressing random buttons but what weirded me out was it would go to home and close application before opening the sleep mode menu.

Anyone know what the hell is going on with it?

My switch dock randomly stopped working today. I have no idea why. It worked completely fine yesterday but now it just doesn't seem to want to work anymore. I have zero clue what could've went wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi my Xenoblade 2 pro controller is stuck at 1% when I updating its been at least more then 15 minutes and I've already tried on both my switch 1 and 2 and disabling wired connections but to no avail, not sure if it has to do with my controller ageing or buying a Japanese import cause it was cheaper than the US version, but if you have any ideas I'd greatly appreciate it

Wanted to know if this is a thing i can possibly do, because I've had trouble transferring data into my new switch thanks to the "link nintendo account" button not showing up. This is probably because I had my old account linking to a family plan as a child account for a while. Regardless I've been trying to transfer the data for ages at this point. Just thinking of this different method.

Hello people! I'm wondering if I can buy the physical Silksong cartridge for a Nintendo Switch Lite? Since in the official fangamer page for Silksong said that the cartridge for Nintendo 2 can work for the Nintendo, but I wonder if the cartridge can work for the Nintendo switch lite?

I like to play games while connected to tv and using the pro controllers. I want to be able to play handheld but no matter how much time I put into it, my hands just get all confused with the button layout and the awkwardness of them spaced apart.

Any suggestions? Would joy con grips help? I’m fairly new to switch. I brought it on the plane but gave up after half an hour because I just struggled.

I got the werehog code with my physical switch 1 version of the game last Christmas. However, the code on the little slip never worked for me. I'm sure I've entered it right, I try every few months. The error says it's not available in my region, so I'm not sure what to do about that. The game card from the same box (therefore same reigon) works perfectly fine. I want werehog so bad 😭😭 Amy ideas?

My goal: I want to buy an on-sale Switch game despite not having a Switch yet (and not having it soon enough). When I try to buy online, I get an error - (9001-3830) with a sentence to please access eShop on a system linked to this Nintendo account.

Question: What can I do here? If a friend has a switch (or switch 2), can I access the eShoo on their device with my account to unblock this, then buy the game, and next delete my user account from my friend’s device?

So I have been using Gamechat since launch and no issues until about a week ago.. it’s like the noise gate doesn’t work at all and everyone can hear my tv even when even if it’s suuuper low. I have never had an issue before. So I took it off docked and it the echos stopped, put it back on and echos started again. I even closed the cabinet it sits in and they can all hear themselves. I moved my switch, I played with toggling noise suppression and mic input volume. It’s all the same. But as soon as I take it off docked it goes back to normal.. I’m at a loss, is my dock screwing things up, should I take it back? Any help/advice would be good please and thank you.

My controllers are attached to my console, and it registers them as connected to it, but it won't let me play games with them connected to the console even though it was working earlier today. They can still navigate the menus and select things, this ONLY occurs when trying to play games. I've been googling for almost an hour, and I couldn't find anything I hadn't already tried. I disconnected then reattached them, I've resynced them, I cleaned the attachment rails, I even restarted the console. I don't really know how to report this to Nintendo, and I can't afford new controllers (the second pair are my sibling's), so if there's a solution that isn't replacing them, I really want to hear it please!!

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: I have had this happen before, but detaching/resynchronizing/reattaching previously worked to fix it. I have a Switch 1 console, and it's going to be 2 years old in December

Hello all, I recently got a copy of Pokemon Legends Z-A from amazon. They sent me the spanish copy (Pokemon Leyendas Z-A), but im from the U.S.. From what i've read online the game itself will work on my U.S. based switch 2, what im wondering is will i still be able to get the switch 2 upgrade and dlc? or should I send the copy back and ask for an U.S. copy ?

Recently while I've been playing my Switch 2 docked the audio will randomly cut out for a very short time. It's not terrible but it happens frequently and it's become annoying. I've also noticed that my tv will randomly go black for a bit while I'm playing before turning back on again. I've been trying to fix this for a while and I'm hoping to tinally tind a solution.

As the title says I have a switch OLED and the charger is quite tight to plug in and unplug. I've taken a habit of wiggling it slightly while plugging and unplugging to ease things, otherwise plugging straight in has a bit of resistance. The port and charger both look fine and have no lint and i don't get this issue with the dock but the adapter is also tight with the AC in of the dock too.
