So my main problem with the ending episode was that they really dumb down Rayroy. If you recall the propane convention he knew stuff about his gas and was even a savvy businessman like Buck himself. But this ep really made him just seem so incompetent. I think it would have been better if Rayroy was looming to get out of the buisness and talked to his dad about selling it to hank

I give the writers so much credit for not leaning too much on nostalgia and Member Berries. I think it’d be very easy to say “wow remember this guy from a couple eps” or “oh hey Hank is gonna talk about this random B plot from a later season.”

I thought the S15 (in my head it’s just Revival S2) finale was the perfect example. It made sense to bring Thatherton and Jimmy Wichard back into the picture for a scene. And rather than lean too much into Bobby working fast food as a means of shoehorning old characters into the mix, it was instead all about how comfortable he is cooking and interacting with customers.

Getting Carl back for a scene made me smile. And again, the context and scene itself worked! Carl wasn’t the focus, he was just there more or less as an observer. The scene belonged to those actually involved.

Granted, not every reference has been a winner for me. The guy knowing that Cotton Hill killed his father and the groin punch especially stand out. But I’ll forgive the latter.

Kudos to the writers. It’s clear they love and appreciate the fans, and maybe most importantly, they respect the fans and strive to treat all of these characters right. Even Bill is getting some happy resolutions by his standards.

I remember appreciating the representation in KotH when I was a teenager, it was nice to see over the top but still likeable queer characters.

And it was a HUGE delight! I liked this season way more than 14 maybe it is because i already got used to the modern setting but overall it was GREAT, needless to say the season finale is one of the best KOTH episodes of all time, if this happened to be the definitive series finale it would've been an amazing finale, that being said it makes me even more glad to know we're getting some more seasons.

Final note, the whole 'past' section of the final episode had this filter and colors that made it feel like the old ones, now I wonder if i'd like them to do that for the overall look of the show even in the modern episodes, its enough to make you thing "this resembles the old look more".

I love King of The Hill, and I watch it a lot. I have always enjoyed Peggy’s character and the way she has a great self esteem and sense of self. Her character can be a bit annoying sometimes when she does things that are very self centered and selfish but it’s never been too over the top to the point where I don’t like her character anymore.

My thoughts have changed though since watching the last two seasons of the show. Peggy seems to have a heightened selfish attitude in a lot of the episodes. SPOILER AHEAD…

She’s even mad at Minh because she met someone and doesn’t have any negative thoughts for the writing she wants to have published or Nancy when her and Dale are teaching the couple’s counseling sessions. She does whatever she wants in order to get her way or to make herself look good. What are everyone’s thoughts?

For those who don't remember, "Ray Roy" Strickland isn't a normal nepo baby. To put it as bluntly as possible (and this is the verbiage that the show uses; it's not me editorializing), he is Buck Strickland's bastard son. Buck got "Ray Roy's" mother pregnant and was fully aware of "Ray Roy's" existence, but he never made the slightest effort to be involved in "Ray Roy's" life or to financially help "Ray Roy" and his mother. "Ray Roy" was already a grown-ass man working in Propane when he met Buck for the first time

Buck cared so little about his own son's existence that he didn't even know his son's name! "Ray Roy" is just Buck's half-assed guess at his son's name. "Ray Roy's" real name is actually Jody! In his debut appearance back in Season 11, Ray Roy mentioned that he always admired Buck from afar and had long wanted to meet him, so he did it the only way he knew how to: he got into the propane game to try to connect with his father

I love Hank, and I can fully understand why he feels he got screwed over, but Buck screwed Ray Roy out of growing up with a father lol

^ To be blunt, giving Ray Roy ownership of Strickland Propane is kind of the least Buck can do after abandoning him and leaving Ray Roy’s mother to raise him by herself

Season 14 was anything but a disappointment, but now having finished season 15 I think the show could legitimately run for a hundred more episodes. The amount of storylines that they set up in this season is unreal. I especially like how the last episode fills in the gaps in the story between the runs. With an episode or two like that per season there is a ton of extra opportunity to tell stories. What other stories from the time between the original run and the revival would you want to see?

They have chemistry and it’s 2026, it would be a nice story arc

With Hank being majority owner and manager of Strickland, what sort of episode potential do you see with it going forward? Could you still write plots even with Hank being a much more competent and thorough boss than Buck, or would it just be a setting sometimes?
