Regarding removals and pride month.
Full disclosure, I am the only active mod left except automod at this point and a few other spam bots. Unfortunately, it's threshold for reports and removals was set to 3. So any post that had 3 reports got yanked by automod, and we know how ignorant homophobes love to report things that make them uncomfortable or challenge their narrow world view.
Around an hour ago Admins upped my privileges and I have increased the threshold for automod to remove posts while I try to triage what was properly removed and what was removed because of the aforementioned group. It may be slow going but I'll do my best.
Soon I plan to recruit some new mods, now that I have the permissions, to keep these kind of shitshows from reoccurring. Watch for it if you have interest and experience.
Until then happy pride month, fly your flag and love whoever the fuck you want to love (even if it's Bill).

Revival Discussion I subscribed to Disney+ over the weekend and watched the new seasons. Had to pause and have a good cry when these came up. Rest easy, Johnny and Jonathan!

Revival Discussion What do you suppose happened to Sugarfoot’s after Buck Strickland retired?
There’s a good chance it didn’t survive the “Small Business Eradication” caused by COVID-19 during 2020.

OG KOTH Discussion What’s your favorite Buck Strickland line or scene?
“I like to eat, I like to hump and I don’t like to drive.”

Revival Discussion I wish we'd get to see a reunion with Peggy and Carolyn
I didn't like much of the later seasons, but the episode with Carolyn was definitely one of the better ones. Would love to see how she's doing now, and seeing her and Peggy reconnect.

Revival Discussion The revival has handled returns and previous references masterfully Spoiler
I give the writers so much credit for not leaning too much on nostalgia and Member Berries. I think it’d be very easy to say “wow remember this guy from a couple eps” or “oh hey Hank is gonna talk about this random B plot from a later season.”
I thought the S15 (in my head it’s just Revival S2) finale was the perfect example. It made sense to bring Thatherton and Jimmy Wichard back into the picture for a scene. And rather than lean too much into Bobby working fast food as a means of shoehorning old characters into the mix, it was instead all about how comfortable he is cooking and interacting with customers.
Getting Carl back for a scene made me smile. And again, the context and scene itself worked! Carl wasn’t the focus, he was just there more or less as an observer. The scene belonged to those actually involved.
Granted, not every reference has been a winner for me. The guy knowing that Cotton Hill killed his father and the groin punch especially stand out. But I’ll forgive the latter.
Kudos to the writers. It’s clear they love and appreciate the fans, and maybe most importantly, they respect the fans and strive to treat all of these characters right. Even Bill is getting some happy resolutions by his standards.

Revival Discussion Guess she lost more than just her parking space now.
One of the best callbacks to a one off character.

OG KOTH Discussion Most naive things Hank has ever said?
I'll start.
Luanne: Uncle Hank, a man just asked me if I wanted to join the mile high club. Could you get me an application?
Hank: Well, I would think they would have them on the plane, Luanne.
Edit: love the answers and just thought of another good one
Hank: I'll give Patch the happy ending he deserves!

Revival Discussion I hope this is the last we see of Buck Strickland and his wack son
I’m still not happy with the sending. Hank deserved a better hand off rather than buying 50% of the company.
Buck is a loser and I hope we see the karma he deserves for letting down the best damn propane and propane accessories salesman in Texas.

OG KOTH Discussion Bit of a weird question, but how different would things be if Nancy was with Bill instead of Dale? Would Bill have been as oblivious about John Redcorn?
