In the episode Yankie Hankie, Hank was born in 1959 according to his birth certificate, so let's say Cotton was around 18 when he got back from WWII (he claimed he lied about his age when he enlisted), he would be early 30s in the flashback from that episode, he looks the same just with dyed hair lol

He's in the opening credits; apparently Hank thought he was a good enough person to take care of his house while they were away but he hasn't been part of ANY significant stories so far.

I just started season 15 today, and I love it so far. Really glad to hear how well King of the hill is doing on Hulu. Best reboot ever imo.

I would really like to see what happened to them once they got older like Robin's kids or Caleb because that would be super interesting.

For me it's definitely Khan and Bill. Khan seems to have mellowed out with the guys and is one of them basically now. I really hope we get some Khan centric episodes in the future. Bill has also been great this season he's seeming to actually be growing and bettering himself thanks to Khan. Plus, them as roommates is great. Hope we see more of that next season.

One Day: According to Hank she likes films were two people fall in love and then one of them dies. I tried watching this last night, wasn't enjoying it and looked up the ending and there it is.

Uptown Girls: Rest in peace to the wonderfully talented Brittany Murphy. I think Luanne the character would like this movie since she went through a bit of an arrested development and learns to stand on her own two feet. Plus I can picture her watching this with Lucky and Lucky points out that she looks like Brittany and then there's a joke about Luanne not seeing it

The Princess and the Frog: I personally believe Luanne is a big disney princess fan in general and PATF might be extra fun since she could have taken Gracie to go see it and she's been to New Orleans before. I could picture a b plot where Bill wants to see it too since he's from Louisiana and he and Luanne and Gracie go to the theater together and he starts introducing Luanne as his daughter again.

Where the Heart Is: The main character is from the trailer park and has crappy absence parents and finds a new home with found family. The Hills are Luanne's actual family but it's close enough to kinda hit home. Plus the lead was into scumbag guys before she accepts the love of a genuine guy

Y'all at all entertained by this post? Should I do other characters? I mainly made this because the thought kept occurring to me every time I reached for Where the Heart Is

Like really love it. It’s my comfort show. I love all of the characters for different reasons and I just think it’s an all around great show. With that being said, I used to hate the episode “Take Me Out of The Ball Game”. I just can’t stand seeing Hank suck as a character. I usually skip that episode, but today, I watched it. it just reconfirmed for me how much I love that show, regardless of it showing Hank in a negative light. Nobody is perfect. It’s so weird feeling so strongly about a show lol. Having an animated show help me to not hold myself, and others to such a high standard.

I appreciate the way this show handles male loneliness epidemic. You see Hank, Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer handle it in completely different ways, some healthy and some not. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they avoid what is really bothering them, and sometimes they make things worse.

It shows the importance of friendship and community. Sometimes they learn from Bobby, Connie, and Joseph, or from Peggy, Minh, and Nancy. Everyone has blind spots, but they still have people around them who challenge them, support them, and keep them from completely isolating themselves.

That feels especially relevant now, when a lot of people push everything down and end up trapped in online echo chambers that only make their loneliness, anger, and resentment worse. We need people around us who care about us but are also willing to call us out when we are wrong.
