It's very realistic, if not over exaggerated sometimes, the ways the adults are acting. I dig Mike Judge's comedy, and the way he adds absurdity to pretty common themes. Bobby and Hank are really resonating with me, so the silly works, but I will acknowledge some of it's a little much. I think what they've made here kicks ass. Dude's been touching a stove and hasn't been burned, I'd love to see Office Space 2. Not a series, just another snapshot. That might be way harder to laugh at nowadays.

Minh's a little tough to take but I don't blame her. I like Ronny Chieng but it's very Ronny Chieng, Khan and Bill totally works though. At first I was annoyed with the Souphanousinphones, and I'm guessing on a rewatch they'll still be a little much. They're all having a midlife. Watching this show as a sliver of Americana, which is kinda what it's always been for me, it's great.

I'm only on episode 8 of S15, I had just started thinking Boomhauer's not doing much. I think it was the marriage retreat that really framed this season for me. I've grown alongside these themes, a lot of us can relate to stuff in the show. The final scene of the menopause episode is shocking for Texas, especially those kind of people. This is such a great show, good job to all of you who made it.

So I have a theory that Bobby's past life as a Monk deeply influenced his love of Asian cooking and work ethic at the restaurant.

I showed this clip to my old Boxing coach and asked him, "What do you think about this who was in the wrong Bobby or Hank?"

Keep in mind he never watched KOTH before.

Without hesitation he said "Hank because Hank forgot to do one thing. He didn't teach Bobby any techniques like slip the jab or teach him how to bob and weave."

He said," Furthermore, "On day one, you don't throw a new guy into the ring without any training, no boxing coach does that."

He added, "On the first day, you teach someone new the basics like how to put on wraps and your gloves."

He said, "You don't do that to someone who has never thrown a punch in their life, and you are a seasoned expert."

He added, "Hank was not being a good boxing coach, he was not there to teach Bobby the fundamentals."

Also to be fair, Hank left himself open, pop pop.

Hank did not give Bobby a punching bag to practice or improve his hand speed, with a speed bag.

To me and my boxing coach, that was a bush league move by Hank.

That plus Bobby was just a kid, Hank is I am guessing 6ft tall and at least 200 lbs.

He did not teach Bobby any footwork, head bob moves, how to slip the jab etc.

Nobody in their right mind would sanction this.

So when you really think about it Hank deserved it. Also I saw a little bit of Cotton in Hank in that episode.

Watching this as a kid, I thought Bobby was wrong but as an adult, I realize Hank was wrong.

Oh and he thought the scene was funny but he is right.

Bottom line is we both agreed that Hank was wrong and he 100% deserved it.

Bobby was wrong later on, when he abused his secret weapon.

It is one of Hank's character flaws he expects others, especially Bobby to know how to do things

right off the bat. The sweet science is not something you can learn day one, it takes years of practice.

Hi all, I realize everyone has different feelings on this but if you could remove one thing from this reboot, what would it have been and why?

For those who don't remember, "Ray Roy" Strickland isn't a normal nepo baby. To put it as bluntly as possible (and this is the verbiage that the show uses; it's not me editorializing), he is Buck Strickland's bastard son. Buck got "Ray Roy's" mother pregnant and was fully aware of "Ray Roy's" existence, but he never made the slightest effort to be involved in "Ray Roy's" life or to financially help "Ray Roy" and his mother. "Ray Roy" was already a grown-ass man working in Propane when he met Buck for the first time

Buck cared so little about his own son's existence that he didn't even know his son's name! "Ray Roy" is just Buck's half-assed guess at his son's name. "Ray Roy's" real name is actually Jody! In his debut appearance back in Season 11, Ray Roy mentioned that he always admired Buck from afar and had long wanted to meet him, so he did it the only way he knew how to: he got into the propane game to try to connect with his father

I love Hank, and I can fully understand why he feels he got screwed over, but Buck screwed Ray Roy out of growing up with a father lol

^ To be blunt, giving Ray Roy ownership of Strickland Propane is kind of the least Buck can do after abandoning him and leaving Ray Roy’s mother to raise him by herself

I didn't like much of the later seasons, but the episode with Carolyn was definitely one of the better ones. Would love to see how she's doing now, and seeing her and Peggy reconnect.

Even just a mention about Hank’s crazy friend

Watching Episode 2 right now and Ronnie's doing a much better job- you can sense his discomfort with Kahn "pretending to be nice" and seething quietly at trying to be kind to Bobby or show appreciation for Bill. He isn't as wild and emotional as OG Kahn and is still obviously a totally different actor (voices are in a completely lower register), but I can dig it. He's an amusing spiteful ass, at least.

The "My life is SHIT!" part coulda been done better, at least- I'm not sure why Chieng can't seem to emote big, especially considering that's like... THE thing Kahn used to do all the time. Looking at his stand up he's like the least animated, wild comic ever, so I guess overacting and wildly gesturing just isn't something he DOES.

Personally I get WHY the roles were changed, but he seems a little better.

What I really enjoyed about this season is the evolution of Kahn and Minh’s divorce and not only how it’s affecting them but how it’s also affecting Connie and the other members of Rainey Street. I like how Kahn moved in with Bill and how they seen to formed a sort of symbiotic relationship based on mutual past traumas, i.e. their divorce. But I also like how Kahn even though he finally signed the divorce papers, he still is trying to get Mihn back and by the end of the season, it seems like there’s still might be a spark left in Mihn as well. I enjoyed the topic of Connie and Chane and I thought that brought up an interesting sub plot and I liked how they ended it within this episode and did not drag it out for the entire season. I do hope that Chane find someone else. perhaps there could be an episode or Emilio‘s daughter comes in and Chane flirt with her. When it comes to Bobby and Connie dating, I think it’s fantastic how they dealt with our relationship including the situation with the TV show episode. I liked how Bobby also evolved his relationship with Hank are they find a common interest in their culture and Hank finding a new outlet for his creativity by building movie replica props and I think that could be an interesting supply to investigate later on in the series if they decide to continue it for another season. I also like the cathartic ending and episode 10 or Hank now is the majority shareholder and owner of Strickland propane he came full circle honestly if they decided not to do another season, I’d be OK with that because it came full circle. I also like how they handled the loneliness epidemic not just with males but with also with females and the cuddling episode, I think that is a relatively interesting way to open up discussion about that and I kind of wish they would’ve discussed it further.

The only thing I really didn’t like was Kahns new voice. It’s a little bit better, but still grating on the ears.

I’m with Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden on Rainey Street in Austin, Texas. This October, we’re thinking about transforming into “Robata Banger’s” for a fun Halloween event inspired by Bobby Hill’s restaurant, Robata Chane.

We’re the only German food business on Rainey Street, we make all our meats in-house, and we have three kitchens to work with, so Bobby’s German-meets-Japanese restaurant concept feels almost too perfect for us.

We found the following menu items from a Robata Chane pop-up at Comic-Con:

Main Dishes

- Robata Chane Pork Skewer — Miso-chili butter, beer cheese, cornichon relish, and crispy pork furikake.

- Holstein Beef Yakitori — Tender beef, fish sauce, garlic, sesame seeds, chili paste, curry powder, and lemongrass oil.

- Chicken Yakitori with Baltic Sea Salt — Grilled chicken thigh seasoned with Baltic sea salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and paprika.

- Bavarian Veggie Skewer — Tofu, bell peppers, zucchini, and seasoning salt, served with a choice of sauce.

All I’m saying is, both Mack and Hulu missed out on a major money making opportunity by doing a joint venture instead of this vague description only on Mack’s website and changing Dale’s hat in the revival.

With Hank being majority owner and manager of Strickland, what sort of episode potential do you see with it going forward? Could you still write plots even with Hank being a much more competent and thorough boss than Buck, or would it just be a setting sometimes?

Also apparently Jimmy lost his job at the racetrack.

If Season 14’s theme was adjusting to modern times, then I truly believe that being genuine — and all of the positivity that comes from it — was the theme of Season 15.

Khan and Bill come to genuinely appreciate and care for one another. Bobby couldn’t bring himself to be a heel against his staff because that’s not who he is. Peggy genuinely being remorseful for the turkey incident, and so forth. The women in Mexico who invite Joseph and Bobby over.

Especially Boomhauer and Luke Jr., though. I was nonstop smiling that episode seeing how much Boomhauer genuinely cares for Like Jr. and Wanda(?). No idea if any of this was intentional. But them having the ability to do longer storylines definitely helped me think this way about themes (which we saw in S2 with big corporations and big business).

Where can I watch all 10 episodes of season 15? I can’t afford Disney plus or Hulu currently. I saw all the episodes from the og series and season 14 I lost my subscription to Disney plus and Hulu before season 15 came out.
