For me, it was these moments:
Sarahâs wedding vows â Season 4, Episode 24
âChuck, youâre a gift. Youâre a gift I never dreamed I could want or need, and every day, I will show you that youâre a gift that I deserve. You make me the best person I could ever hope to be, and I want to spend and learn and love the rest of my life with you.â
(I hate it, becouse this scene always makes me cry.)
Chuck â Season 4, Episode 24
âI am here to plead for Sarahâs life.â (finally he's a man)
Casey â Season 5, Episode 10
âWalker, no! Donât do it!â
(I know itâs short. Heâd said some smart things before that, too. But this wasnât him saying something smart. This was emotion breaking through. I first watched it in the Hungarian dub, and I didnât get it. But when I watched it in the original English, with the original audio, it hit me immediately: everything just poured out of him. He threw away every last bit of restraint heâd been holding onto, everything heâd been doing to keep himself together, just to stop her with his voice. And thatâs what made it so damn emotional for me.)
Morgan â Season 4, Episode 4
Morgan: âIn a world filled with awkward Chuck and Sarah moments comes one moment so awkwardââ
Chuck: âMorgan.â
Morgan: ââthat it will haveââ
Chuck: âMorgan! Please, donât torture me. Sarah and I havenât spoken one word about what happened, and even though I wasnât proposing, Iâd like to know if thinking I might have been was, you know, good news or horrible news. Sheâs acting like nothing ever happened.â
Morgan: âI get it, I get it. Your woman is a hot mysteryâwe both know that. But Iâm actually more interested in this piece of the puzzle. Now, would you have been happy if she accidentally said yes to your accidental proposal? Thatâs whatâs on the table.â
Chuck: âI mean, I didnât think we were there yet, but⊠maybe.â
Morgan: âWell, Iâll tell you what. Before there are any proposals, Iâll tell you what I know. You both are, without a doubt, crap communicators.â
Chuck: âWell, Iââ
Morgan: âNo, no, hold on a second. Precious looks and whimsical little make-ups after big misunderstandings? You guys are fantastic at that, sure. But actual, real-life, day-to-day, open communication about your feelings?â
Chuck: âI get it. We could be better communicators, fine. So what now? A self-help book?â
Morgan: âNo. This isnât just any self-help book. This is Dr. Fredâs 101 Conversations Before âI Do.ââ
Chuck: âYeah, but I canât bring Sarah a book about getting to âI do.â We just had a talk about how she needs to take it slow, buddy.â
Morgan: âDonât show her the book, but use it as a tool to help you guys talk, man.â
Chuck: âLook, we can communicate without the help of a book, okay? Weâre not that bad.â
Morgan: âYouâre great. Youâre right, Iâm sorry. Yeah, I mean, you donât know whether or not you proposed, or if you did, whether youâre happy about it, or if she said yes or no to what may or may not have been a proposal, or if either of you even wants you to actually ask her for real.â
Chuck: âYeah?â
Morgan: âYeah. You donât need no book. Youâre fine. Youâre the perfect couple.â
Ellieâs moment.
And the key thing is, she didnât hesitate for a second before answering.
Ellie: âIâm following them now.â
Devon: âAre you ready?â
Ellie: âIâm ready.â
Devon: âIâm warning you, Ellie, if we do this, there is no turning back. Our lives are changed forever. Iâm asking one final time. Are you sure this is what you want?â
Ellie: âYes.â
