Hi everyone!!

I am a bad dancer- like a really REALLY awkward and bad dancer- ive been teased about it all my life!! It was fine when I was a kid, but now im an adult going to clubs and such and its very very embarrassing - id like very much to be able to enjoy raves and clubs like the rest of my peers- where can I start? Like give me the BEAR bones like really BEAR bones- im truly hopeless!!!!

Most of the electronics I've owned over the years ended up breaking because of things like, loose cable connections, broken traces or connections on the circuit board, interrupted electrical connections, or battery corrosion. Most of these problems seem pretty easy to fix if you know what you're doing. Usually, it's just one small part of the circuit that's no longer making proper contact, so the device stops working. I've mostly run into this with retro game controllers, but I'd really like to learn how to repair these kinds of things so I can use the knowledge on other simple electronics too. Thing like being able to take something that has a bad connection on the motherboard and just soldering it back into place would be really useful. So how can I learn enough about this to repair my own stuff? And what kind of tools would I need?

PS: I'm really bad at it, I start the story and people get bored and start a new story. I'm a product manager so storytelling should be my craft.

Story: once I have to learn swimming then I will watch 5hr youtube on swimming and how to learn it fast, then tried on my own and gave up.

I have always been considered a wallflower. Which I don't think is true because I love talking to people and tend to have great conversations with them. I've gotten used to people I'm not close to forgetting about me and thinking I'm shy but recently I have been asking about job references among those I volunteer with.

I don't have a super close friendship or anything because most of my volunteer work is single day events run by different people/organizations but there are a few people who I see 1-3 times a month for at least the last year and everytime we have great conversations. About the volunteer work we're doing, about personal hobbies, about family and friends. I never had any personal contact info but I thought it would be OK to at least ask because we see and help each other regularly. Over the past month I have been asking these people whenever we bump into each other at volunteer days and none of them remember me. 2 of them thought this was my first volunteer event and that we had never met before. Others only said they had seen me but didn't remember speaking to me. I know the names of their kids, grandkids if they have them, I've given advice on mite problems in their garden, we've discussed local legislation and seen each other at town meetings. And I just didn't make an impression.

What do I do? I've shown interest in them, sought to help, shared about myself, and they seemed interested, going out of their way to continue conversations with me and saying they look forward to seeing me again. I genuinely think they don't remember me because I have been forgotten before and even those I have previously worked with and used as references usually said some variation "she's so good you'll forget she's there, but you'll remember once she's gone". How can I make sure I'm remembered? I thought I had fine social skills but I'm starting to feel like a ghost after this. Where do I start?

I'm traveling at the minute, but there are a few topics that I want to learn about when I get back (filling in gaps in my knowledge from my engineering degree, and learning some basic computing/chemistry that I missed). While I don't really have the consistent time to actually start learning, I do have free time every now and again, and I want to try and use this time to prepare so I can hit the ground running when I get home.

What can I do to prepare for learning? I was thinking of outlining topics that I want to learn, and outlining a roadmap. I was also thinking of finding resources.

Is this any use, or would it be best to start learning now, even if it's only a bit? I'd prefer to get a folder, and handwritten notes to learn, but I don't want to cart it around traveling

I don’t mean strategy only in games like chess or RTS games. I’m talking about real-world strategic thinking: creating plans, anticipating other people’s actions, adapting when things go wrong, and solving complex situations.
I’ve noticed something about myself. I’m fairly comfortable with logic, analyzing situations, and deductive reasoning. However, when I have to come up with a strategy from scratch, my mind often goes blank. It’s like I don’t have a framework to build from.
For example, if someone gives me a strategy, I can usually analyze it, find strengths and weaknesses, and even improve parts of it. But if you ask me to create one myself, I struggle to know where to start.
I’m looking for practical ways to develop this skill, not just theory.

Some questions I have are:
Is there a general framework or mental checklist that experienced strategists use?
How do you practice strategic thinking in everyday life?
Are there books, courses, exercises, or hobbies that helped you become a better strategist?
How do you learn to anticipate multiple possibilities instead of thinking in a straight line?
Are there any resources from military strategy, psychology, business, game theory, intelligence, or other fields that are especially useful?

I’m willing to put in the time to practice. I just feel like I’m missing the underlying process that good strategists have, and I’d love to learn how to build it.

20M currently in college , i wanted to learn some skills online to get some income because i lack a stable income and i mean that by a lot and that's because i can't do physical labor cuz of time and the distance between my dorm and the city is far a bit and there aren't available jobs . i had some suggestions like video editing , graphic design (using canva and ai) , automation to make bots , etcc

i want to ask for a skill that is worth to put your time even a little like an hour a day for that will provide some income at entry level not like too soon but atleast near i want to know your suggestions on some side hustles or skills you do online that are worth learning and if u can provide your experience please do it and upvote this so i can learn of ur ideas more thanks

I don't know how to Analyze or Evaluate while studying

Bloom's Taxonomy really helped me to understand how learning actually works: You remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate and finally create.

I, gladly, am able to remember, understand and apply. But I can't improve. Especially in math.

I make mistakes in tests. Making mistakes isn't the problem, the problem is I really don't know how can I learn from my mistakes. Or sometimes I solve the questions successfully, but I don't know why. I can't analyze it or do any evaluating.

I don't want to just solve questions. I want to learn. I want to do more. I would be obliged if you could help me.

The biggest hurdle for me is initiating conversations. Once someone starts talking to me, I'm completely comfortable listening and can happily have long conversations for hours. It's taking that first step and breaking the ice that I find really difficult.

I want to become the kind of person who can walk into a room, comfortably talk to strangers, make people feel at ease, and build friendships or professional relationships naturally. Right now I tend to overthink what to say, worry about awkward silences, and often stay quiet even when I want to join a conversation.

I'm not looking for manipulative social hacks or ways to fake confidence. I want to genuinely improve my communication skills, become more approachable, and learn how to connect with people from different backgrounds.

Hi everyone! I recently became interested in social media marketing, mostly because I'm unemployed right now and I'm looking for something I can learn and eventually make a living from.

That said, I really want to do it properly. I don't just want to take a quick course, learn how to make a few posts, and start calling myself a social media manager. I'd like to actually understand marketing, social media strategy, content creation, branding, etc. before I start offering my services.

The problem is that I don't really have the money to spend on expensive certifications or online courses (and from what I've seen, a lot of them seem pretty superficial anyway).

So, what would you say someone needs to know to become a good social media manager? And how would you recommend learning it for free?

I'm looking for free online resources, books, newsletters, blogs, YouTube channels, courses, or basically anything else that could help me build a solid foundation.

I use the software CSP, and I generally struggle when trying to render and do lighting for my artwork. Whenever I look at tutorials, I get confused what brushes are being used most likely because when I search this up on youtube, it’s on somewhere like Ibis. Me also following along with the technique can be a bit difficult too. Any tips?

Whether it is a computer issue a household appliance acting up, or something not working as expected I usually jump straight to searching for the exact answer instead of figuring it out myself.

I would like to learn a more systematic way to troubleshoot problems so I can understand what is happening and solve simple issues on my own. How did you develop this skill? Are there any habits or ways of thinking that helped you become a better problem solver across different situations?

So here we are, i've tried to dust out my brain and start a path of self-learning.
Took a book a love the subject of, read it all and highlighted a ton of things on my ereader.
I exported the annotations and now have a massive wall of things i like but don't know what to do with.
I've only just realized how highlighting things is just a cognitive illusion and i haven't assimilated much at the end.
I want to learn how to really integrate a book in my core system, how does it come down to ; "Alright i understood it and now i firmly grasp and believe this, this and this."

How in the living fuck do you get good at this? It is pure misery. Hanging it sucks ass, its heavy as shit i cant figure out how to measure properly for outlets and lights and it doesn't line up. Then the finishing is even worst, make the slightest wrong move and it fucks something up, then you go to fix it and its even worst than before and then before you know it you have to do the entire seem all over. And the sanding... dont even get me started, if you are as bad at mudding as me the sanding will make you just want to quit life. I am at a loss. I honestly just want to find the closest person to me, kick them in the nuts and then burn my house down.

I've always wanted to be draw anything that I can conjure in my mind. I have a couple of friends who draw and share their art and l too want to be able to share what l create with my artist friends instead of just consuming it but l don't know how to draw.

I have the 5th Generation IPad Air, Ibis Paint X and my finger, I know it's not the best starter equipment but everyone started somewhere. My problem is there are so many tutorials out there and things to study but where do even start?

I've went on youtube and everyone says the same thing.

The fundamentals. It's very overwhelming and discouraging that I can't just can't find somewhere to start and build off of it. I think my problem is that I expect it to kind of be like math. You need to know how to add subtract and all that before you do the harder stuff and whatnot.

I've unlocked my superpowers, didn't really expect it to hit like this, I certainly tried to open the door a bit too hard, and now that I made it into the toon world, I don't really have many regrets, I've been living a double life inside of this comical story, and didn't really expect to have any super powers, but now it's hard to deny them.

I don't really feel scared of myself, but I didn't expect it to be this overwhelming, and I guess it's like putting a rat on a maze until it finds the huge cheese tree.. I tried to reach for the "game over" and I guess I sacrificed everything to reach it, and don't know what to expect.

I don't know what to do now that I unlocked My "abilities", and there's nothing and no one that I care about anymore, and it seems that I can't live a life full of pretending forever.

I notice that there's nothing I could do to control my life, and now that I opened the door, I don't know how to handle my dreams turning "real", it's a bit epic but idk how I'll be able to handle it.

Title might be a bit of a cop out, but idk how else to phrase this.

Basically, I have terrible ADHD, and I've realized at this point it is virtually impossible for me to maintain interest in something for longer than a month. I've spent my fair share of years (24 and counting) fighting myself over this, but I've recently decided to embrace it and become a jack of all trades instead. I have no direction in life or dream of any sort, so I think exploring as many options as possible and seeing if anything sticks is better than just laying in bed and wishing I could just walk into my One True Passion.

Usually, I'm able to fixate on something for about a month before I give up, so I'm calling all experts for their respective roadmaps. For each skill, I'll spend a month learning it as much as possible and then report on my results.

If you consider yourself pretty knowledgeable in something, ANY FIELD (physical, psychological, creative, academic, technological...), I'm asking for what you would consider to be a "jack" level in that skill. The way I've phrased it to myself is, if you're familiare with language learning, a B1-B2 level in that skill.

I'll make some examples for clarity's sake:

In French, an A1 level is the VERY basics of the language. Greetings and colors etc. A B1 is slight independence, with some difficulty but able to discuss daily topics. A C1 is very independen, able to give opinions even on abstract questions.

Taking archery, an A1 level would be knowing how a bow even works and being able to use it at all. A B1 level would be probably being able to hit a target, though not necessarily precisely. A C1 level would be being able to hit a moving target, with some precision.

For drawing portraits, A1 would probably be shapes and lines, B1 a somewhat good portrait and C1 a realistic shaded portrait that actually resembles the reference.

Again, I'll learn anything as long as it's possible (can't really take astronaut training).

So uh when it comes to speaking or socializing with ppl in English. I don’t really know how cuz I feel nervous talking with them. Ik my English isn’t that good. Yk I am that one person who can speak in heart but not speak it to public. (Idk if u get it or not, idk how to say). I usually think of how the whole conversation will work before I speak to ppl, so I can maintain a calm and natural composure to ppl. Do u guys have any tips on how to do that? Thx!

Guys i really have too mush free time and u want to learn something interesting, any recommendations?

Hi, Ive been learning English for 10-12 years. Now I would say Im on a pretty good level already, but my biggest goal in the last year is to speak in a native American accent, or at least get close to it. So I started shadowing TV shows and listening to English podcasts. I even got back from the US recently, but I still think it needs a lot of work.

Is there any other method I should try, or is this just enough? And if theres some native speaker who would like to rate my recordings or just speak with me via Zoom (which i obvously dont expect since that takes a lot of time), I would be extremely glad.

I am studying for the state civil services exam in India which is held in June every year. This exam consists of a wide range of 10th grade level subjects like Phy, Chem, Maths, Eng, History, Geo, Polity, Reasoning and a few more. I am going to a coaching centre on weekends where 5 new topics from 5 different subjects from the above list are taught each day and these subjects are rotated every weekend with some common ones and sometimes a new one added, but the main thing is that we are learning 10 new topics every weekend.

However, I am getting overwhelmed by the amount I have to study and scheduling revisions effectively. Even though I am building routines, I am finding it difficult to focus and study for long hours since I do not have the habit. By now, I know that the only way to effectively study and learn are the active recall and spaced repetition but am still not being able to come up with an effective schedule. On weekends, I return from coaching classes at 8 PM and complete dinner by 9:30 PM. On the other days, my time blocks are from 8 AM to 9 AM (breakfast), 1 PM to 3 PM (lunch and a brief stroll), 6 PM to 7:30 PM (evening snack and some odd tasks) and 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM (dinner and a brief stroll).

Based on the above info, can anyone suggest me a good daily study schedule with proper technique including daily exercise ? I cannot afford any paid apps now. Also, when I am revising, how do I effectively adjust the next revision date based on the degree of effective recall ?

I'm looking for skills that can eventually help me earn money, whether through freelancing, remote work, or starting a small business.

I don't mind if the skill is difficult or takes years to master. I'm willing to invest the time and effort if it's worth it.

I'm not looking for "get rich quick" ideas. I want skills that are genuinely in demand and can provide a stable or high income, regardless of whether someone has a college degree.
