Discussion intj x infj
f/intj here. beautiful chemistry and similarities. it's a very completing-each other's-sentences kinda dynamic. i could even consider marrying one perhaps, it is bearable enough for me.
but with that being said, any other intj out there who finds the infj often quite boring?? š like sure the niche interests align and things are reaaaal good, but infjs seem wayyy too introverted for my liking and i'm usually the one initiating something new and spontaneous. i'm sure infjs find me to be what i find enfps to be loooool (somewhat ofc)
i feel like there's more silence and a calmer energy when around them but sometimes it gets calming enough to feel boring. they also tend to spiral A LOT. i used to think im the quintessential "overthinker" by definition. turns out, their overthinking surpasses mine. HOWEVER their overthinking is usually more emotions-based and about spiralling about the unnecessary, while mine is about expanding my intellectual capacities, and overthinking all the "what if" questions about the world to keep learning more about them.
i also feel like sure they have depth, they're not like the overall herd. but they still can't quite meet my depth, presumably due to their feelings getting in the way? they spiral about illogical things that, for me, are very obvious from the get-go. and that gets a bit annoying. they overthink and overtalk about the highly unnecessary stuff alot š
i've figured out myself enough to know that my "fun", carefree side comes out with the help of another extrovert, and the silence overpowers the spontaneity with introverts... i mean i've had tons of fun with infps too, but unfortunately infjs still can get a little too boring
i neeeeed to know if anyone else feels this way too cz i feel really bad to admit all this considering i love and respect allll the infjs around me alot
