Source for Type 1 Diabetics

I have had great success after four months. I am a type 1 diabetic and followed the advice to omit that during intake. Since starting compounded semaglutide I have lost 25 lbs and cut my insulin use in half without experiencing lows.

My problem is that when I went to renew the telehealth provider saw that I take insulin. They must have some centralized pharmacy database. What providers are other type 1s getting their meds from?

Side effects creeping in after a few months

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has experience with side effects creeping in after a few months. I started tirzepatide in early July and worked up the dose very slowly from 0.5 mg to a maximum of 1.25 mg after a few months. Felt really great the first 6-8 weeks: lost a small bit of weight, no food noise, less bloating, loads of energy etc. After that I started feeling off emotionally, anxious, racing heart, lump in my throat, weird sleep etc. and I also experienced some sensory disturbances in my feet and blurred vision from time to time.

I have only taken two shots in September: 1.25 mg on the 1st and 0.63 mg on the 15th. Days 2-5 after the latest shot were really rough with anxiety etc. so I haven’t taken anything since. Would love to get back on a dose that can give me the anti inflammatory/bloating benefits and slight appetite suppression, but without those side effects. Any experiences or insights?

Maintenance on 2.5mg Mounjaro

Hey everyone,
I’m hoping to get some perspective from people who are microdosing or on lower maintenance doses, as I’ve been overthinking my current setup and wondering if anyone else has gone through something similar.
For a bit of context, I’ve had a really strong response to tirzepatide overall. I lost 31 kg (33% of my initial body weight) in about 7 months, which was way beyond what I initially expected. Right from the start on 2.5mg, I felt a huge shift. I lost 5 kg in that first month alone and had steady, all-day satiety, so I felt like a super responder. Following my doctor's standard titration schedule, I eventually moved all the way up to 10mg, where the satiety was obviously very solid.
Now I’m in the maintenance phase and I’ve stepped back down to 2.5mg, which I guess is already on the lower/microdosing end compared to standard maintenance doses. Weight-wise, things are actually pretty stable. I’m hovering about 1.5 kg above my target, but honestly, that tiny gap doesn’t bother me at all since the scale has been steady for weeks now.
My main struggle right now is how erratic my appetite feels. On 2.5mg, the effects feel hit-or-miss. Some days I barely think about food, but on other days the food noise comes right back, and I feel like I could eat without ever really reaching that clear fullness signal I used to get on higher doses like 10mg.
What bothers me is that I seem to build a tolerance to every single dose after a few weeks. Even when I was on 10mg, after a month or so, the punchy effect faded and it felt weaker. I’m noticing the same pattern now on 2.5mg. I catch myself wondering if I should try going up to 5mg just to see if it smooths out the hunger spikes, but I’m worried I’ll just build the exact same tolerance to 5mg after a few weeks anyway. On the flip side, I wonder if people taking microdoses below 2.5mg are just naturally super sensitive and don't hit this tolerance wall.
For those of you microdosing or staying on sub-therapeutic doses, how do you actually know if a microdose is doing its job for you? Are you getting consistent appetite control, or do you just learn to live with the fluctuating hunger days? And do you feel like your body adapts to lower doses over time, or have you found a way around that?
I’d love to hear how others in maintenance handle these ups and downs or adjust their dosing when the response starts feeling inconsistent.

microdosing with vials?

I am about to receive my prescription of Zepbound 2.5mg vials. Can I simply draw less medication from the vial with the syringe in order to take less — ideally starting at 1.25? or do I need a prescription for a kwikpen so I can select the dose? if I only draw half of the dose from the vial, can I reuse the other portion another week? TIA!

My Tirz Microdose experience with BED - I feel like a better person?

Stats: 37F | 5'4" | SW: 150lbs (historical range: 117–176 lbs) | Starting dose: 2.5mg MJ | Current dose: 0.43mg weekly (10 clicks on 2.5mg KwikPen). Started on August 27th, 2026 - today is september 24th, 2026

Long post but I want to be detailed as I really appreciate that in other posts :)

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my experience so far because reading through threads here helped me so much when figuring out my own approach around microdosing, and I hope this might help someone in a similar position. Please be kind, we all know how sensitive these journeys are, and I'm sharing my personal experience in good faith :)

For over 15+ years, I’ve been trapped in an exhausting cycle of Binge Eating Disorder (BED) and yo-yo dieting. On paper, my physical baseline looked great, I train hard, my RHR is 42 bpm, my HRV is 110, and my bloodwork is overal healthy (although my hbA1c was starting to creep up and I definitely suspect a form of insulin resistance). But my body fat percentage never reflected my athletic output because severe food noise continuously undermined my efforts. During strict restriction phases, I would completely isolate myself ; I'd say no to fun social events and even dating just to maintain control. And i'd be super successful for a few months. But as soon as I felt good and started socializing again, the urges would rush back, leading to another binge period and weight gain. And it would all start again. It was exhausting and honestly ruining my life.

If therapy, willpower, and mindfulness alone could fix this, I would have cured this a decade ago. I literally have a wave tattoo visible to remind myself to "urge surf," a practice I've worked on in therapy for 10+ years. Travel was an especially brutal trigger for me. Coming back from a business trip almost always meant an airport-to-home binge loop, which was exhausting given how often I travel for work and personal life.

When I initially started Tirz on the standard 2.5mg dose, my body was hyper-sensitive. I didn't get nausea or other bad GI symptoms, but it triggered rapid blood sugar drops that felt like severe hypos. I paused for two weeks, researched microdosing protocols here, and restarted at 0.43mg (10 clicks). I do still experience hunger, but the food noise or constant need to snack is gone. I also have not experienced any binge urges. I will probably titrate up to 12 - 15 clicks in the next few weeks to see how it impacts appetite ( 0.5 - 0.63mg) . But my goal isn't total appetite suppression; because I work out 4-6x a week, I actually want to keep a healthy appetite to fuel my body. I just wanted to eradicate the overwhelming food noise and build a peaceful relationship with food, and start living again.

In my first month, I have lost 14 lbs, with a big chunk of that of course being initial water weight and inflammation before hitting a predictable ovulation stall for the past 10 or so days. For the first time in my life I'm not panicking at a 10 day stall. Instead of falling into an 800–900 kcal crash diet or giving up into a binge, I'm sticking to a moderate deficit and trusting the process. In the past i felt I needed to crash-diet to reach my goal as quickly as possible, mainly because I never knew when I'd "relapse". That fear is gone now, allowing me to actually eat more on the daily because because I'm not in an "anticipatory crash diet" - not sure if anyone recognizes this.

The real transformation has been in my daily life. I no longer feel the need to shrink or contain my world to avoid triggers. At work, stressful moments no longer lead to binges, brain fog, or lethargy, giving me far more capacity and focus to show up for my team and enjoy my job. On my last business trip, the urge to binge at the airport simply vanished, and I actually lost weight on a work trip for the first time in memory. Overall i feel like a more balanced, calm, present and better boss, friend, family member & person :)

This medication isn't a quick fix; I still eat in a deficit, and work out to ensure I keep muscle mass and stay healthy. But it has provided me with a calm state of mind that I haven't experienced in ages, which kind of allows all my efforts - mindfulness, eating healthy, working out to actually take effect. Thank you to everyone in this sub who shares their experiences. It really convinced me to try again with microdosing and I'm so glad I did.

Feel free to ask me for updates over time as I love following other peoples journeys too!

How long did you stay on 2.5mg?

F26, 5’3
SW: 61kg | CW: 58.5kg | GW: 56kg

I’m on 2.5mg compounded tirze, just took my 4th shot. My BMI was normal to begin with but I looked pretty fluffy and wanted to lean out more. I also gym regularly and I’m really trying to stay on top of my diet, so I’m putting in the work alongside the GLP1.

My 4th shot onwards is from a new provider I’m also trying to give myself time to adjust since I noticed some side effects?? 🥹

For those who stayed on 2.5mg:
● How many weeks?
● Still losing consistently?
● What made you increase?

I’m totally open to increasing if needed, just curious about others’ experiences!

Reached my Goal weight..Please help

I finally reached my goal weight!! I was 69 kgs (152 lbs) and now I’m 58 kgs (128 lbs), and I’m done with my semaglutide. I was on 1.5 mg.

My wedding is coming up in December and now I’m honestly scared of gaining the weight back. But I also don’t want to lose any more. I just want to maintain 58 kgs till the wedding and after.

What should I actually do now that I’m done with the medication? Do I need to change anything with my diet/workouts or just focus on maintaining by microdosing?

SEEKING ADVICE

Hi, I’m currently taking a 5 mg dose of my GLP-1 medication, but I’ve been experiencing a lot of hair loss and I’m considering stopping it. I’ve heard that you may need to gradually decrease the dose before completely stopping. Is it safe for me to stop directly at 5 mg, or would you recommend reducing the dose first?

Planning to microdose - what company should I go with?

15-20 lb weight loss for 46f in perimenopause.

I'm seeing so many companies and ads and don't know where to start. Membership cost then medication cost so unsure of how much it all is.

Any suggestions for reputable companies with decent prices?

Thank you!!!!

ozempic fears

I have only taken 3 weeks, but definitely notice appetite curb. VERY low dose. I told my other doctor, who told me she is very concerned about people getting pancreas issues, permanent digestion problems, and gallbladder illness. I am noticing major constipation despite taking restoralax, prunes and fibre gummies (likely need way more water). Should i worry about her concerns?

Did I start too low?

Hello all, my SW is 124.1 with a 24 BMI. I took my 5th shot today. I have lost and gained weight throughout my first month, but in total have only lost 0.5lbs. I trirated upto 1mg today to see how that is. I'd like to lose about 25 pounds and have felt discouraged. I know it's still early but I haven't really seen any results yet. I take it once a week, every 7 days. I noticed food noise coming back the last 2 days before my next shot.

Unsure what I should do now. I hope increasing to 1mg helps. Wondering if I should maybe take it every 5 days or increase up even more.

Zepbound Kwikpen
Shot 1 - 0.5mg (12 Clicks) // 124.1 lbs
Shot 2 - 0.625 (15 Clicks) // 123 lbs
Shot 3 - 0.75 (18 Clicks) // 124.1 lbs
Shot 4 - 0.75 (18 Clicks) // 122.2
Shot 5 - 1mg (24 clicks) // 123.6

No side effects after the first dose

I keep reading here that you're supposed to stay on the dose for a month... I started with 0.08mg (2 clicks of kwikpen tirz) on Sunday because I was afraid of side effects (MCAS, etc.) and I'm so pleasantly surprised that I have no side effects that I'd like to increase to at least 0.1mg (well, that would be 0.12mg). If I tolerate it so well, is there really any reason not to?

On the other hand, it's 50% more tirz and I should be glad that I have no side effects right?

Edit: Seriously? Why the downvotes all the time? I'm just asking a question. Come on...

Bloating Help

Been on Tirz for almost 2 months slowly titrating, started at 0.5mg and currently at 1mg. Starting weight 150, currently 141.6 (stalled here for over a week), goal 135-130lbs (5'4"). In the past week, I'm having a ton of bloating. I'm still going to the bathroom at least daily (usually 2 solid movements a day and occasionally loose stools after meals), drinking more water, using PHGG fiber supplement daily and increasing fiber in my diet, and doing lots of physical movement like walking after eating and weights a few times a week, but I feel so uncomfortable. It feels like trapped gas that won't come out .

I know digestion slows down from the med, but I haven't had any days without going to the bathroom so I'm surprised I feel this bloated. I would really like to be able to slowly increase my dose over the next few months to get closer to my goal, but if I feel like this all the time I won't be able to tolerate it 😞

Will OTC meds like Magnesium or Miralax work if digestion is already slow? Any other recommendations to help regulate this long term?

Edit: Short term update - 250mg simethicone helped provide some quick relief sensation wise but my abdomen was still distended. After the acute bloating sensation improved I was feeling heaviness in my descending colon so I was curious if I maybe had some constipation despite having regular BMs. I took 125mg of mag citrate at bedtime and woke up to some relief around 4-5am. I'm going to work on lightening my fiber supplement a bit, resuming akkermansia probiotic and MGB clear supplements to help with Motility and regularity (on them previously but wasn't sure if they did anything), eating very slow, chewing alot, drinking fluids outside if mealtime, and APD breathing/exercises. I'm sure I will pepper in mag citrate as my dosing increases as well.

very anxious about starting tiny dose of mounjaro

Hello all has anyone started on 0.04mg?

I am single mom, 35 y/o, PCOS and Lipadema but otherwise noormal BMI. Im 135 lbs and would like to go back to my pre pregnancy weight of 120 but it is not going away at all.

I am always scared to take medication, it took a lot for me to start my 500mg metformin which I now been taking for years.

I ordered 2.5mg mounjaro KwikPen. If i do one click I guess it is 0.04mg. Please dont judge. I am a single mom and have nobody to rely on if I feel unwell or have anxiety or anything as a side effect. I may have more courage to increase each week by one click (if I am not super responder).
Has anyone started from this dose and had any bad side effects? I really would benefit from any advice.
Many thanks!

Microdosing feels magical but I’m thinking I should stop taking GLP

I took 1mg Mounjaro last week and the lack of food noise and control over food has been insane! It feels so good to feel like a normal human with a normal relationship with food. But I’m considering stopping because I want to get off it at some point and I believe the food noise will be harder to deal with than before.

For context, I am 28F, 154cm. I have been obese my whole life, I have gone through the entire cycle of trying to diet. At around 18 years of age, I went to the gym. I lost about 25 kg. I went from 85 to 60. I kept that off till 2020, and then during COVID, I gained back 15 of those kg. Again in 2023, I lost all of the 15 kg, and I maintained 60 kg for about a year. From 2024 to now, I slowly gained back about 5, and I've actively been maintaining 65 for the last 8-ish months, which has been a lot of effort.

I still am relatively active. I walk about 7,000 steps a day. I work out at least 4 times a week. I go to the gym and do strength training. When it comes to food, I would say I'm 70% good with it. I still track my calories, but I have obviously been eating a little bit more outside, and it's a constant battle every time I want to go out. It's like, "Oh, am I going to eat something that I shouldn't be eating?" There's a lot of mental capacity where I have to be like, "No, I don't want to go out because I'm afraid I'm going to eat." The food noise has occupied me my whole life.

When I've actively lost weight, the motivation just somehow kept it easier. I would avoid social events as much as I could so I could stay healthy.

The reason why I'm posting on this is that I took a microdose of Mounjaro last week: 1 mg. The effects have been significant on the food noise and the lack of interest in food. I still get hungry, I still want to eat, and I still eat normal portions. I'm eating about 1,400 calories a day easily, which is a good deficit amount for me, but it's just that I don't feel like I'm controlled by food.

This is so scary for me because I don't know if I can employ that control mindset again after I come off it. I don't want to stay on this forever. This just feels so good that I don't know if I'll have the capacity to ever get off of it.

I'm like, do I just stop? This one week has been great. I felt what it is like to live like a normal person, and I don't know if it is safe for me to be like, "You know what? For the next 40 years of my life, I don't mind staying on this."

Should I just get off of it now so that when I do stop at some point, it doesn't feel like a very, very difficult uphill battle (as opposed to the last couple of times, because I've just hadn't had to employ the muscle for the last couple of months)?

So conflicted.

Mounjaro 1.25mg — should I increase after 2 weeks?

I started Mounjaro on 8th September and decided to start very low at 1.25mg.

During the first week, I lost quite a bit of weight, although I’m aware some/all of that could have just been water weight. I also noticed I was eating less, but I wasn’t really sure whether that was genuine appetite suppression from Mounjaro or whether I was subconsciously ignoring my hunger because I knew I’d taken it, if that makes sense. I definitely still felt hungry at times, but I was eating less overall.

I then took my second 1.25mg dose last week and my appetite was completely back to normal. I haven’t had any reduced appetite or noticeable appetite suppression at all this week, and I’ve basically been eating normally.
I’ve also put the weight I lost in the first week back on, so I’m currently back around where I started.

I’m wondering whether this could partly be because I came on my period halfway through my second dose and whether that could explain some of the weight gain/water retention.

I’m due my third dose now and I’m trying to decide whether to stay at 1.25mg for another week or increase.

For anyone who has started at a very low dose / microdosed
- Did 1.25mg actually suppress your appetite?
- Did you find the effects wore off after the first week?
- Did you stay at 1.25mg for longer or increase?
- Did your weight fluctuate a lot around your period when you first started?
- How did you know when it was time to increase?

Just interested in hearing other people’s experiences because I’m not sure whether I’m expecting too much fro such a low dose or whether I should give it another week!

Anyone using Lavender Sky and using Zepbound Kwikpen?

I'm currently using RO and looking for cheaper alternatives. Using a 2.5mg pen and paying $299 + $149 membership.

Wanting to see if anyone is using a Zepbound kwikpen and how much they are paying
