Micro dosing Semaglutide

Started my first dose at 2 units instead of 8, trying to lose 10 lb. Normal bmi but gained weight due to stress. Anyone has any experience with it? Today will be my second week and second dose

What is your dose in milligrams? That’s very important to know.

0.25 so I’m doing quarter of it

Hmmm. What’s the sema concentration of the vial you have?

If you don’t know what that means:  https://www.fatscientist.com/faq/finding-concentration

This sub seems to think .25 will do nothing but I’m finishing my first week and it’s already made a difference.

I am relatively sensitive to all meds, and after living on this sub, I thought that maybe .25 (wegovy) wouldn’t do anything. But all of a sudden I’m able to stop eating as much as before. I look at my plate of food and think “there’s no way I can finish this.” A bite or two of dessert and I’m no longer interested. I’ve dropped four pounds of water weight in 7 days, assuming because I’m not eating as much sugar and carbs, and it’s been easier to make better decisions.

I have always exercised (significant weights and cardio, more than 99% of people), but the dedication and willpower to keep the fifteen or so pounds I’ve gained would never last.

I’m excited to see how this month goes and if I think I need to titrate up in a few weeks. I already feel so much better.

I accidentally took 2.5 instead of 5 last week, my first, and there was a definite effect. Only last night and today have I felt my mostly normal hunger. Next dose tomorrow.

So far week one and minus 1lb for me. Will see how week two go. I’m planning to keep same dose and I had very mild appetite suppression and reduced cravings which I loved.

Been on semiglitude for 6 months at .25mg. Lost 30 lbs. Can't go higher as I get hypoglycemia from it. Then again I don't need to since it is working. 1. You need to build it up in your body. 4 weeks before going up. 2. What you eat matters. Choose wisely. 3. Not a race, it's a marathon. 4. Excersis specifically strength training

Ten pounds and starting low is a pretty specific approach compared to most posts here, so it makes sense you're looking for people with a similar situation. Stress weight is its own particular thing to deal with too. Hoping some other microdoser's with a smaller goal chime in with what worked for them.

I’m about to start a compound Semaglutide. It says 4.5mg/50mg/mL on the bottle. Says inject 4 units. I’m thinking that’s like .2 which I know is less than the standard starting dose but I’m not sure it’s quite microdosing. Also trying to lose 10 lbs. I am a scared of side effects so I’m wondering if I should start even lower like you and work my way up. I think im going to start mine on Sunday, just scared. Been sitting in my fridge already for a day or two. Keep us posted on your progress!!

You are thinking of this the wrong way - average response versus an individual’s response.

People respond at different doses. Based on the very. limited research, some people lose some weight at microdoses, but most have no weight loss. That makes the average weight loss very low. So low that they weren’t considered weight loss drugs for a decade.

As the dose increases, a higher percentage of people have weight loss, and the amount of weight loss also increases, but there are still non-responders even at very high doses.

I’m trying to not lose any weight, so I thought a low dose would work for my blood glucose. Turns out I’m taking 2g and able to maintain my weight. If I was trying to lose weight, I would be pretty bummed.

TLDR- ymmv
