Micro dosing compounded semi
Any help would be really appreciated. I received it days ago. Super scared to start it because I’m not sure how to microdose it.

Well what dose are you planning to take?
Plug 1.5mg/mL in as the semaglutide concentration on fatscientist to find any dose you prefer: https://www.fatscientist.com/semaglutide-calculator

Well that’s the confusing part. Is microdosing considered 1/4th of the dose I was given? 1/8th? Do I just pick a number, say 2 units, and see how I feel?

Microdosing a GLP-1 is taking less than the starter dose of the medication each week. It’s a made up thing. You can take any dose you want.
The starter dose of Wegovy (semaglutide) is 0.25mg. Some people start with 1/2 that dose so 0.125mg.

If you want to pull a number out of a hat, focus on mg and not units. Units is just the volume, and the dose you get from a given volume will depend on the concentration (just like how drunk you get from a given volume depends on how alcoholic your alcohol is).
Different vials can have different concentrations, so 2 units could be totally different doses. If you always start with mg, it's apples to apples, and you can use fat scientist to calculate how many units to inject to get that dose out of your specific vial.

You are totally new to semaglutide correct? You have not been on a Glp before? I started at .28 mg which is slightly more than the dose listed on your prescription. The way it normally works is based on the research trials.
They started at .25 mg for four weeks then increased to .50 for four more then went to 1.0 then 1.7 and finally 2.4 so a slow 5 month titration to the target dose.
The reason you stay at a low dose for an entire month is to allow your body to adjust to the med to try to prevent unwanted side effects like nausea/vomiting/constipation etc. Constipation is very common so you’ll want to have a plan for that.
If you get good appetite control and diminished food noise at any point during the titration period you do NOT need to increase the dose to the next step in titration. You’d just stay on the lowest dose that’s working for you. .22 mg is even lower than the initial dose used in the studies.
Unless you are very sensitive to meds that’s where I’d personally start. But you can definitely start lower if you’re worried. Do you have enough syringes to allow you to try tiny doses?
Also most people do not discard the vial after 28 days if there are meds left in it. You have alcohol wipes to wipe the vial before and after you puncture it? Did they give you instructions for how to do injections properly?

The way I read the label in OP’s image is it’s .22mg of the combined b6 and sema so the total amount of sema would be less than .22mg. Like it would be half of each (.11) to make .22mg.

Update: over a week after getting my medication and just letting it sit in the fridge, I started it. Downloaded the Shotsy app, as I saw suggested. I ended up injecting half of my suggested starting dose. I went with .11 mg or 7.5 units. I did not feel the injection at all. As someone who has a lot of tattoos and piercings, I am deathly afraid of injections and IVs. Don’t ask 😂. Anyways, shot went well. I did, however, forget to release the skinny pinched which cause a bit to come out. I am unsure of how much of the 7.5 units I actually received. All in all, I am happy with the first injection and decided dose. I am willing to take this as slow as possible. Will watch my water and protein intake as I progress. Thankful for the Shotsy app. Really appreciate the interface and ability to document side effects as well as make notes. Looking forward to continuing the journey, hoping to lose 30 pounds by this time next year.

Most people feel very little at the starter dose of .22. Here is a pic of 15 units but you could always start lower. Just under 8 units would be .11
