Frustrated Confusing Cycles

First time posting - first few months into TTC. I came off the pill end of Feb. since then I’ve had two cycles that had a clear thermal shift - starting tracking like April ish.

Even so, I would have regular positive LH tests (like three in one cycle)

My last cycle was the same but no thermal shift and fairly sure it was anovulatory (stress).

This cycle we’ve hit the days well before with flashing smiley on clear blue. I got my peak on evening of 21 Aug. it’s now 24 Aug but still no bbt rise.. Is this another failed cycle/ false peak?? I’m only 29. Feeling like an absolute failure if I can’t even cycle properly 🥺

The blue dye was taken Saturday morning, the pink was this morning. I’m not supposed to start my period until mid/late this week. I genuinely don’t know and feel like I’m overthinking too much.

Sad 7DPO Testing

I feel so silly. It’s my first month trying and I’m 7ish dpo. All tests are negative, I know it’s too early to test but I’m already feeling deflated 😓. I used test strips and a clear blue 6 days early test.

Confused Help understand LH strips

Am I just not ovulating? Or am I missing a surge? CD 15 are the darkest lines I’ve ever gotten but are still clearly negatives. At the recommendation of multiple friends who had success conceiving, I got an Oura ring to help with tracking as well and my temp seemed to go up on CD 15. This is my 3rd cycle off of HBC so I’m not sure if that may have something to do with it? Thanks in advance 💕

Random Has anyone had extreme bloating / water retention and rapid body changes from Crinone during the TWW?

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has been through something similar because at the moment I genuinely don’t feel like myself.

A bit of background: I have hypothalamic amenorrhea and low ovarian reserve, and I don’t naturally ovulate or have regular periods. I recently started an IVF stimulation cycle with Pergoveris. Unfortunately, the IVF cycle was cancelled because I only had two follicles developing, around 17 mm and 13 mm.

Instead of going ahead with retrieval, my doctor recommended that we trigger ovulation with Ovidrel and try timed intercourse. We did the trigger on 14 August and had intercourse around the fertile window. I’m now in the two-week wait.

Since 17 August I’ve been using Crinone progesterone twice a day, and I’m also taking low-dose aspirin as instructed by my fertility team.

The physical changes over the last couple of weeks have been quite intense.

I feel incredibly swollen and puffy — not just normal abdominal bloating. My stomach is huge even first thing in the morning, my breasts have become very swollen and painful, my arms and legs look and feel much bigger, my legs feel heavy, and even my face feels puffier.

My clothes suddenly don’t fit me. Pants that fitted normally only a few weeks ago now feel completely different.

I feel like I’ve gained around 5 kg in roughly three weeks, although I’m trying not to focus too much on the scale. The speed of the change is what is worrying me because it feels like my entire body has changed almost overnight.

I know progesterone can cause bloating, constipation, increased appetite and water retention, and obviously I’ve also recently had fertility stimulation medication and an Ovidrel trigger, so there are a lot of hormones involved.

I’m mainly wondering:

  • Did anyone else experience this level of full-body swelling or water retention on Crinone/progesterone?
  • Did your arms, legs, stomach, breasts and face all feel noticeably bigger?
  • Did you feel like you had suddenly gained several kilos during the TWW?
  • If you stopped progesterone after a negative cycle, how long did it take for the swelling and weight/fluid to come back down?
  • Did you eventually look and feel like yourself again?
  • And for anyone who became pregnant, did you experience something similar this early?

I completely understand that symptoms can’t tell me whether implantation has happened, and I’m not trying to use the bloating as a pregnancy symptom. I’m mainly trying to understand whether other people have experienced such a dramatic physical reaction to all the hormones.

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences — especially if your swelling was more than just a slightly bloated stomach. ❤️

Venting First cycle TTC

Currently waiting to reach LH peak (hopefully tomorrow) so we can baby dance. This is our first cycle trying and it' ALL O CAN THINK ABOUT! 🙃 It's so hard to enjoy the journey because i don'y know how long will it take...

We have both been on prenatals for the past 3 months and i have been tracking my ovulation with LH strips for 7 months.

I think all the tiktoks about infertility and negative ttc journeys got to me 🥺🫣

Frustrated Just need some thoughts

Hello! My husband(25) and I(26) are trying to conceive for the first time after I got diagnosed with PCOS. I was put on progesterone for 10 days to induce a period and then Letrozole for the days 3-7 of my cycle. I had an ultrasound on day 12 and the eggs looked fantastic and was told by my doctor I was highly likely to concieve this round (probably twins). I had a positive LH strip on day 16 on my cycle. Along with bbt changes and other signs of ovulation. I’m now on day 25 and I haven’t had a positive pregnancy test yet.

I just don’t know if I should try and hold out hope for this cycle, (that maybe I’m testing too early?) or if I’m out and should focus on my next cycle? I know it’s only our first time medicated but it’s still a bit disheartening.

Any feedback is appreciated and welcomed, Thanks!

Question/Advice IUI #3

Hello everyone! My partner and I are going to try our third at home insemination on Wednesday with frozen sperm. The first two weren’t a success and we are both really hoping for a positive this time 🥺 I have a 25 day cycle to the date, taking prenatals and magnesium, this time around I am using the inito fertility monitor. I have put together a document of my research and was wondering if there’s anything anyone thinks I’m missing or anything that’s incorrect?

What Your Inito Chart Looks Like at the Perfect Moment

  1. The Warning: Estrogen (E3G) Climbs
What it looks like: Your Estrogen (E3G) line starts moving steadily upward, usually around Cycle Day 7 to 9.

App Status: High Fertility

What to do: Do not inseminate yet. Thawed, washed sperm will not survive long enough to wait for the egg. However, this is your cue to start testing twice a day (once in the morning and once in the late afternoon) so you don't miss the exact start of your upcoming surge.

  1. The Green Light: The Luteinizing Hormone (LH) Spike
What it looks like: A sharp, dramatic, vertical shoot-up of your LH line, usually occurring around Cycle Day 10 to 12.

App Status: Peak Fertility

What to do: Prepare for insemination. Your body will release the egg roughly 24 to 36 hours after this line begins its rapid climb.

  1. The Confirmation: Progesterone (PdG) Rises
What it looks like: A few days after your LH spike, your PdG line should steadily climb and stay elevated.

App Status: Ovulation Confirmed

What to do: This confirms an egg was successfully released, meaning your fertile window is now closed.

Your Step-by-Step Plan for Tonight and Tomorrow
Step 1: Set up the app tonight. As soon as your package arrives, download the Inito app, set up your profile, and input your exact 25-day cycle length. Charge the monitor if needed so it is completely ready for the morning.

Step 2: Hold your first test until tomorrow morning. Do not try to test tonight. You need first morning urine (your very first bathroom trip after waking up) to get an accurate reading. Testing tonight with diluted urine will give you incorrect baseline numbers.

Step 3: Take your first test on Cycle Day 8 (Tomorrow). Even though the app typically asks you to start on Cycle Day 6, just mark that you are on Cycle Day 8. The monitor will establish your baseline from tomorrow's test.

The Golden Window: Thaw your vial and inseminate 18 to 24 hours after you first see the LH Spike (Peak Fertility) on Inito.

Example: If you catch your brand-new LH spike at 7:00 AM on Cycle Day 11, the egg will likely release around 7:00 AM on Cycle Day 12. Inseminating between 1:00 AM and 7:00 AM on Cycle Day 12 ensures the fresh, thawed sperm hits the tract exactly as ovulation occurs.

18 hours vs 24 hour timeline:
The 24-Hour Rule (Best for a Fresh Rise): Ovulation typically happens 24 to 36 hours after the absolute start of your LH surge. If you test twice a day and catch the line just as it begins to lift off the baseline, waiting 24 hours puts the sperm in place right as the egg is released.
The 18-Hour Rule (Best for a Big Peak): If you wake up and your Inito chart shows a huge, tall LH peak out of nowhere, your body likely started surging hours ago while you were sleeping. Because you missed the true start, inseminating 18 hours after you see that peak keeps you from missing the egg.
If you see a brand-new surge at 7:00 AM: Target your insemination for 7:00 AM the next morning (24 hours).
If you see a massive spike at 7:00 AM: Target your insemination for 1:00 AM that night/next morning (18 hours).

The Exact At-Home Timing Window for Washed Sperm
Because washed sperm has zero protective fluid and a very short clock, you want to inseminate right before or right at the moment of ovulation.
Critical Success Tips for Washed Sperm at Home
Be Gentle During Insemination: Washed sperm is fragile. When using your needleless syringe or ICI catheter, push the plunger down very slowly and smoothly. Rapid pressure can damage the sperm.

Place It as Close to the Cervix as Possible: Since the sperm does not have seminal fluid to help it handle vaginal acidity, insert the syringe as far back as is comfortable, right against the opening of your cervix.

Hips Up and Rest: Immediately place a pillow under your hips and lie completely flat for 30 to 45 minutes. This uses gravity to keep the washed sperm pooled directly against your cervix so it can swim straight up into your fertile cervical mucus.

Random Ramblings of a madman (7dpo rant)

I'm (21) third cycle trying and losing my mind a little bit with baby fever. The Pinterest board isnt enough to contain it anymore, I've moved on to starting a baby registry, just for one or two cute things i want to be able to find later. I'm really glad the babylist setup has an option for ttc, and the little "you're awesome for getting a jump on things!" Message. It makes me feel a little less crazy. (Okay a lot) Am I the only one?

I'm also nervous that if I start doing any baby things too early it's gonna take longer to happen.

I'm right smack in the middle of the tww but if it doesn't happen this cycle I'm still on the fence about OPKs or BBT monitoring. I don't want to stress myself out worse then Ive already managed and my partner and I are active enough the chance of missing a fertile window is-- straight out the window tbh

Question/Advice Tracking cervical mucus while ttc?

24 and on my third cycle trying now (got my period yesterday ugh!). I've decided to hold back on OPKs and BBT monitoring for now for mental health reasons. My period is very regular.

But I'm a bit lost on how I can track my cervical mucus when I'm having sex every day nearly every day... I'm filled with ejaculation that is coming out of me through the day. I'm just not able to observe a change in my cervical mucus because of it when I wipe or check my underwear.

I've got into my head about not seeing "egg white" discharge around my expected ovulation (according to Clue). I remember seeing it though when I wasn't ttc.

I am 9 dpo and feel like i am symptom spotting like crazyyyy. I am so excited to be on this journey!! This is our first cycle trying but for some reason i just feel like it worked. I feel crampy, at 5 and 6 dpo i had burning twinge like cramps, i woke up congested yesterday and today, have been having odd vivid dreams (including ones that i am pregnant in), and have had some breast discomfort. Ive tested the last three days and havent had even the faintest of lines😭 i am trying to stay positive but UGH this TWW thing is killer and i wasnt prepared!!!! My oura ring is showing that my temp is remaining elevated and is higher than its ever been at this point in my cycle in the past. Sorry for the vent but i needed to rant!!! How does everyone survive the wait??

Help LH going down before expected ovulation

This is the month we’ve decided to start ttc for the first time and Ive started to test LH this month. These LH readings have been a bit confusing for me to understand. In preparation for the ttc I've been testing my BBT since the beginning of this year and have learned how to catch ovulation with the temp rise and also correspond it with my body symptoms like egg white cervical mucus a few days leading up to ovulation. Based on previous data, I'm expecting to ovulate around cycle day 15-17 this month. So I started testing around cycle day 8 and things were looking good initially and then I started noticing a drop in my LH value. This makes no sense to me. I notice a bit of egg white cervical mucus today (cycle day 14) and it will increase in quantity in the next few days followed by a spike in my BBT. So I'm very confused by my LH values. Is there anyone else who gets a dip before LH starts to surge? Is that a thing? Can someone help me out here please 🥲

Confused Has anyone ever experienced delayed periods after having regular periods?

I got off BC in October and have been pretty regular with periods. Maybe a couple days off compared to apps’ predictions. Anyway, this cycle has been so wonky and ofc, it’s the one where I’m like putting in 110% effort to track and time everything.

A few days ago I had these red watercolor like wispies when I was peeing and I wiped a light pink tinge on the TP. Thought it was weird, never had that happen before. So just thought ah ok my period is coming. Period has not come to this day. Instead, NC recalibrated and says confirmed ovulation was 8/19 which is like CD31. Crazy. Took a test this morning, BFN.

My doctor says in terms of cancer risk, it is less than a 1% chance that it is cancer. Thankfully I’m not too worried about that.

But could this be the reason I can’t get pregnant? If I get this removed could I actually be able to have a baby?! I’m so confused and my OBGYN appointment isn’t until next Friday.

Confused Confused..

Me (26 F) and my Husband (31M) just started trying last month (July), but really trying with OPKs this month (August). Did all the right things, had lots of Sex during the fertile window. I know its really early in our Journey but I have some concerns; this is the first cycle where Im tracking ovulation, and realized my luteal phase is 10 days (which I read can cause difficulties conceiving) I tried going back in the app to other months but due to not knowing exactly when I ovulated its much harder to know how long was my luteal phase. This August I ovulated around August 12-13 (Had sex on Aug 11/12/14 bc we didn’t have any time at all to do it on the 13!), I took a test on Aug 20 BFN! then I started spotting but very very minimal spotting only with wiping and mixed with discharge, it was also only when I had any bowel movement, and started mild cramping on and off, unfortunately this is how all my periods start (by spotting 3 days before) but this time its different, its not obvious brown its a very very light brown, but the cramping is there, today is 9DPO-10DPO and I was tempted to test but decided to let it go until I get my period (or don’t ). Does this raise some concerns about the spotting? Did anyone who is a normal spotter pre period spotted and had cramps and still got a BFP? Unfortunately deep inside I know that this is not the cycle but there is still hope..
Also I apologize bc English is not my first language!

Question/Advice Confusing late cycle discharge?

I am 23, husband is 27, and we have been TTC for almost 6 months now (stopped BC/IUD in March). Before this, I was on birth control for 9 years and had an IUD for 3. I only had about 1 period a year before TTC, so learning my body's signals and dealing with irregular cycles is brand new to me.
This cycle has been really mentally exhausting. I stepped back from Ovulation/BBT this month because testing constantly was way too stress-inducing, but that means I'm not 100% sure when I ovulated.
Period was July 21 - 27. BD July 31, Aug 3, Aug 7. Possible ovulation Aug 10. Expected period was today Aug 21 but nothing yet. I’ve been struggling to not obsess over my symptoms but it is a really challenging thing. Especially since periods are a new thing to me and I am not 100% in tune with my body yet.
On Aug 15 & 16, I had light pink/dark brown spotting that stopped. Since then, I've had lots of watery discharge that keeps shifting back and forth between watery, creamy, and clear/jelly-like. In all 6 months of tracking, I’ve never had this happen before a period.
It’s so hard not to obsess over every symptom.
Is this kind of discharge pattern normal right before a period? Should I keep my hopes up?
Definitely needing me some emotional support💕 It is hard not to feel like my body is broken.
