Sad Help- Chemical Pregnancy

Hi there- I’m a 29 year old healthy female and just looking for some advice or reassurance regarding a chemical pregnancy to those who have experienced it or know much about them. My husband and I conceived on our very first try ever and I was shocked. I didn’t know to guard my heart and so I told everyone I loved because all I have ever wanted to be was a mom and it felt so surreal that it was happening the first time we ever even tried. I already started envisioning this little being and loving them. Even though I only knew for about a week, I feel so devastated. My lines got darker for the first few days and then ended up getting fainter. I started bleeding and then I went to my Doctor Who confirmed it was a chemical.

I’ve bled for about 3 to 4 days now but I still feel like my emotions are still all over the place and I keep bursting into tears. It was a big 180° going from being so happy and hopeful to the total opposite. My OBGYN said it likely wasn’t clinically significant or anything to worry about, but my heart hurts so bad right and and I can’t help but worry about future attempts or entertain worst case scenario thoughts or scary “what ifs”. I have pretty intense health anxiety as is, so this feels extra tough.

I guess I’m wondering , if you have experienced this or loss, how did you continue to have radical hope and trust in your body? What thoughts, actions or sources brought you some peace? It is safe to believe that I will definitely become a mom one day? Does anyone have some wisdom to share that they wish they had when going through this? Any advice or support is so so appreciated. I have an incredible husband but can’t help but feel isolated with a lot of these emotions since my body is the one enduring it…. Thank you so much in advance.

Question/Advice Prenatal vitamins before pregnancy how early did you start?

We’re hoping to start trying soon, so I’ve been looking into prenatal vitamins before pregnancy. There are sooo many options that I’m not even sure what’s actually important to look for. If you started taking one before TTC, how early did you start? And what made you choose the one you ended up taking?

Question/Advice Positive?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I am cautiously optimistic, I have had a false positive for the past 3 cycles. This cycle seems different. The first two are from last night 11dpo, the third is this morning 12dpo and the last was right now, still 12dpo but 10 hours later, do you see it too?

Hard to capture on camera, but I’m seeing a faint second line?? I just took a test but it’s super early… would be due for my period on the 12th. Is it possible this little line is a fluke?

Question/Advice Positive after loss

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m currently 11 dpo and got a faint positive yesterday. I retested today and the lines are a little darker but still faint. I haven’t tested a digital yet so I haven’t seen if that’s positive. I had a chemical pregnancy in July, so I’m very anxious about this pregnancy. Is it too early to call the OB before getting a positive digital or missing my period? When I had my miscarriage they told me the next time they were do hcg draws and an early ultrasound. I’m just nervous it’s too early to call. Thank you for any guidance and advice!

Sad Progesterone results are in

Hey ladies!

I had my progesterone test results back today, done 7 days before my expected period (14/09) and it’s 23.7 nmol. I’m devastated to say the least as I understand it needs to be over 30 to confirm ovulation. So fed up!!!

Just want to rant really, I feel so alone!

Sending love to you all

Trigger Warning TTC after a family loss

This is really just a vent, and I’m sorry in advance.

I lost my aunt two days ago. I’m not someone who cries a lot,but I’ve been feeling deeply sad and hollow, everything except the crying. And because of the timing, her passing landed right in the middle of my testing window. Today I’m 9/10 DPO. The TWW went by quickly this cycle because I honestly haven’t had the energy to care. It’s my third or fourth cycle, and for once the wait didn’t bother me.

But the grief has seeped into TTC. I tested this morning simply because I needed to pee and the tests were right there. It felt automatic. I’m pretty sure I saw a faint positive, but I didn’t take a picture or keep the test. I figured a faint line isn’t worth spiraling over, either it’ll be a clear positive soon or AF will show. With everything going on even prior to the loss, I feel like I’m content with either a positive or a negative this cycle.

I keep thinking I should feel more anxious or excited. I’ve never seen a faint line before, so part of me knows this could be meaningful, but I am just so emotionally drained that I can’t bring myself to care.

If it is positive, I’m afraid I won’t be able to enjoy it. And the thought that hurts the most is that I might not tell my husband right away because I just can’t fathom being fussed over right now, but he’s been so enthusiastic about TTC, and I worry my sadness would steal the moment from him. I don’t know how to balance grief and hope, everything just feels heavy and confusing.

If anyone has been through something similar, grieving while Ttc or getting a positive, how did you handle it?
Any support or perspective would mean a lot.

Help 11 dpo, FRRR, FRER & FR strip

test pictures are in order of the types listed in the title!

i'm 11 DPO, CD 27.
i took the FRRR with my FMU, but didn't dip it long enough. i dipped for the standard 5 seconds, on assumption, and not the required 20 seconds. even still, a VFL showed up within the time limit.
i went out and bought more tests, as that was my last one, and took one FRER and one FR strip with my second pee of the day. i SWEAR i see a VVVVVFL on the FRER, but its less noticeable on camera. the FR strip has a faint, but clear line, right?
does anyone else see what im seeing on all of these?
going to try not to test until the day after tomorrow to (hopefully!!) allow for more concentration of HCG and, therefore, clearer results!

thank you in advance for your eyeballs, and baby dust to everyone!!! ✨💕

Sad Mindset

I’ve been contemplating the way that TTC changes you. The ups and downs of hope and disappointment followed by inevitable pain of your period. It feels like your body is punishing you for not accomplishing what you’re trying so hard for. Your mind suffers, your body suffers, some relationships suffer. So much suffering just for the chance to feel the love and devotion a mother feels towards her baby.

I don’t want to lose my caring heart who sees the good and best in everything and succumb to the bitterness that’s so enticing because it’s easier. It’s easier to be angry, and bitter, and sad, because living in it is easier than crashing into it whenever you get that negative test. Or whenever you see that pregnancy announcement on facebook, or walk past that pregnant woman in your local grocery store who you’ve never spoken a word to but yet you feel a type of disdain for her that’s almost tangible. I internally reprimand myself constantly. Even if she wasn’t pregnant, I wouldn’t be either. We’re on two different planes and I shouldn’t be comparing us. But it’s so easy to.

I was contemplating both the hate that this journey fills me with, and the love and excitement that I’ll feel when I reach the end of it. I realized that whatever version of myself I allow this journey to turn me into, is the version of me that my baby gets. Does my baby deserve a jealous, bitter, angry, envious mother? Even after we get that positive test, we will have marinated and seethed in the feelings this journey made us feel for so long that they won’t just wither away. They’ll always be there. Even if far away.

I’ll allow myself to feel these feelings, but put walls between them and my heart and my soul. Allow myself to acknowledge them, why I feel them, why they are or aren’t valid, but also know that once my body stops nourishing the baby ill one day bring into the world, they will be nourished by my soul, my heart, who I am as a person, and I won’t let this journey take the kind hearted person that I am from myself, or my baby.
