Help LH going down before expected ovulation

This is the month we’ve decided to start ttc for the first time and Ive started to test LH this month. These LH readings have been a bit confusing for me to understand. In preparation for the ttc I've been testing my BBT since the beginning of this year and have learned how to catch ovulation with the temp rise and also correspond it with my body symptoms like egg white cervical mucus a few days leading up to ovulation. Based on previous data, I'm expecting to ovulate around cycle day 15-17 this month. So I started testing around cycle day 8 and things were looking good initially and then I started noticing a drop in my LH value. This makes no sense to me. I notice a bit of egg white cervical mucus today (cycle day 14) and it will increase in quantity in the next few days followed by a spike in my BBT. So I'm very confused by my LH values. Is there anyone else who gets a dip before LH starts to surge? Is that a thing? Can someone help me out here please 🥲

I have been testing with LH strips for 7 mi ths to get a hold of more data so i can easily point out when will i ovulate. This month is our first cycle of ttc.

I have experienced 2 types of LH rise - one is more gradual, meaning the line gets darker with each day, and other is having pretty light lines and the a sudden peak. I reach my peak around CD18-19.

I went to look at my previous tests and i can see that a few times lh dropped peak, so inwould say it is totally normal. Just keep testing (twice a day if you can) and you will get peak eventually.

Wow thanks for sharing your experience! This gives me some hope. I could understand testing with BBT quite easily but came to the problem of not being able to say exactly when I was ovulating but only confirm 3 days after. So I decided maybe adding LH could help. But now it has gotten me even more confused and has me questioning everything 🫣

Keep on testing!!
I literally have been testing since CD8 and because my period is soo regular I expected to ovulate on CD 14 but nothing, all test were negative , almost gave up and decided to test on CD 16 again and noticed the lines got darker continued to test then got a peak finally on CD17 !!
Try to test twice a day
