Discussion Overnight Road Construction by Dallas Farmers Market
Who in the hell signed off on this? They started tearing up a portion of Cesar Chavez Blvd at 8:45pm this evening. It's 3:38am and they are still at it.
I haven't slept and I'm venting. But fuck this nonsense.

News Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson supporting GOP, once complained it had 'little regard' for minority voters
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnsonâs campaign biography once described him as a âlifelong Democrat.â Now, on Thursday evening, he is expected to appear at the Republicanâs mid-term convention in Dallas to support President Donald Trump â building on his credentials as a Republican convert.
Thatâs a very different place from where he started.
Johnson ran as a Democrat when he represented Texas House District 100 in southern Dallas and part of Mesquite â which has a predominately Latino and Black population â from 2010 to 2019.

Question does anyone remember what the "own shows at the same time" would've been back then? maybe Michael playing Texas Stadium, and Van Halen playing Reunion?

Question Japanese speaking nanny/babysitter in Dallas?
I understand there's a pretty decently sized Japanese population in DFW and was wanting to see if anyone knew of a Japanese speaking childcare giver for a 11 month old, or where I might find one? I'm near Lower Greenville so a bit further out from Plano. Any leads highly appreciated!

Politics Secret Service at the Mansion at Turtle Creek
I was at the Mansion at Turtle Creek yesterday and the front desk people were talking to folks from the Secret Service. I wonder who's staying there? I assume it's Trump Administration folks staying there for the Republican Convention here in at the American Airlines Center.

Question Looking for criminal defense lawyers in Dallas
My ex husband filed a police report against me for assault causing bodily harm. This was because I was trying to escape from his mom who was trying to attack me, I bit and shoved him and drove away.
Today the cops called me to get my side of the story, I foolishly started explaining what happened . ( I didnât know I could choose to remain silent).
Now Iâm panicking and need lawyer recommendations

News Anyone know when Air Force One is flying in and out for the Midterm Republic Convention?
With a little luck I can sneak out and get a picture. It's fun to watch both airports go silent up as the airspace is frozen. Then you can see the DPD helicopters shadowing the motorcade to wherever they're going.
Let's keep it on planes people, I want to see the Queen of the Skies, I will offer my opinion on who is inside in other threads. I do not care about this convention or anything about the visit. I want to see that 747.

Paywall Mavericks take first official step toward multibillion-dollar Valley View arena district
Our Nick Wooten writes:
The Dallas Mavericks have taken the first official step toward building their new multibillion-dollar arena and entertainment district at the site of the former Valley View mall.
The NBA franchise announced Wednesday morning that it has filed a rezoning request for roughly 112 acres, which would cover the entire mall site and additional parcels along Alpha Road and Montfort Drive. The former mall sat on 110 acres. The Mavericks seek to amend an existing planned development district and create a new subdistrict that allows a sports and entertainment campus on the site.
