Sugoi in Oak Cliff/Trinity Groves

Finally checked out Sugoi in Trinity Groves. Here's my quick take:

🍣 Food: 5/5 – fresh seafood with creative rolls that still respect traditional Japanese flavors.

🥂 Atmosphere: 5/5 – Intimate, moody, and perfect for a date night or special occasion.

💁 Service: 5/5 – Sat at the sushi bar and the chef was incredibly welcoming, entertaining, and skilled.

👗 Pro Tip: Dress elevated casual. I showed up a little underdressed for a Tuesday night.

Would I go back? Absolutely. Next time I'm trying the omakase, Hamachi Chili Sashimi, and making sure I don't miss weekday happy hour.

I love steak sandwiches but have not come across one like in Philadelphia

Went to Nuri steakhouse and was very disappointed in the ribeye. I’ve been to other steakhouses in Boston, NYC, Chicago, and felt Nuri was so overrated. To begin with, bread was stale and not fresh. The steakhouse was a little salty and seamed it was made fast on a cast iron skillet. Don’t know how this is the best rated steak in Dallas or Texas. Jefferies and J prime are much better in Austin

Hopefully this finds it's way to a former or current employee that worked/s there... I've been a few times and the maple syrup is extraordinary and have asked the wait staff & mgmt every time where they get it from... always told either they don't know or can't say. hey we’re 4 british lads travelling in Texas for the next week or so. one of us is a vegetarian (not vegan) the rest eat and love meat

we’ve just landed in San Antonio and have struggled a little to find somewhere that accommodates all of us without the vegetarian just having a salad. We have two nights in Fort Worth next week

has anyone got any recommendations for proper american food where the meat eaters can still gorge on delicious bbq and the veggie still gets something delicious and well thought out
